Day 1261 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Hot Shot
Shoes: Hot Shot | Irregular Choice

An old pair of IC's for you today after my Charlotte Olympia glitter perspex heels last week.  Hot Shot were a style from SS11, which I found on eBay a few years later.  I was never very sure about this heel, mainly, was it too low for me?  It is quite, especially given the bigger platform which is half hidden and half  visible.  It takes the heel down to under 3", but they were such a good find I thought they were worth a try and I do really like them.

Day 1252 - Shoesday Tuesday

Vivienne Westwood Vargas Elevated
Shoes: Vargas elevated | Vivienne Westwood

If I threw you a curveball last week with the (almost) flat Irregular Choice Booyah, then you'll feel much more at home with these high heels and big platforms.  When I got these shoes last month, they immediately went onto my favourites list, I absolutely love them.  They'd been on my radar, but I hadn't been keeping a close eye on them until the sales started.  Luckily for me, the place that had them the cheapest and still in my size, made further reductions just days later, so there was no hesitation, I bought them right away.  They were the last pair and have since gone in most sizes elsewhere, so I was very lucky.  I actually own these on Stardoll and wear them a lot there, which was what made me look them up again.  It always makes me weirdly satisfied when my virtual me and the real me own the same clothes!

Day 1251 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Booyah
Shoes: Booyah | Irregular Choice

I finally made it into the shoe room, emptied the overspill and photographed a few recent new pairs for you, so there's lots to look forward to in the coming weeks.  I thought I'd choose something very different (for me) today, after something a little more regular, Odette swan heels, last week.  These sandals/trainers/platforms/flatforms? launched last Spring/Summer and I liked them right away, even although they are far from my usual style.  I'm a sucker for fur, it must be that!

Day 1246 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Teddy Toes
Shoes: Teddy Toes | Irregular Choice

Last week I shared my polar bear sliders from SS19 and today I'm going back another couple of years to SS17. This style came in 3 colours, each with a separate name, as they were slightly different. The mint pair with short ears and pompom tail, resembling a bear are Teddy Toes. The pink with longer ears and pompom tail are Cream Puff, resembling a bunny and then the black pointed ears with longer, thinner tail are Kitty Paws, a cat.

Day 1243 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Barnacle Betty
Shoes: Barnacle Betty | Irregular Choice

Another set of old photos and a pair I find it hard to believe I've never reviewed here before (from SS17).  Firstly, last week were the lilac version of Pooch Perfect boots if you missed those and there's a link in that post to the white pair I reviewed first.  These perspex carved heels haven't been appearing all that much lately.  There were ankle boots in both Pokemon and The Wizard Of Oz collections, along with the red Click Your Heels shoes that I bought from Oz and prior to that, Little Twin Stars shoes in the Sanrio launch.

Day 1236 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Pixie Dust
Shoes: Pixie Dust | Irregular Choice

A right oldie for you today. These super high platforms debuted for AW13 with various uppers. Marble Moose, Toffee Splatter and Antonella, I've shown here before. Tic Tac Toe, I've never owned (they seriously grew on me, I wish I did have them) and I don't know why Pixie Dust haven't appeared here until now, as I've had them all this time. They also came in green, I don't think there was a big enough contrast between the two to justify owning both. MM however came in three very different colourways that I'd happily buy all of!

Day 1229 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Smitten kitten shoes
Shoes: Smitten Kitten | Irregular Choice

A while back I went through about a years worth of folders on my laptop looking for shoes I hadn't yet shared here but already had pictures of. I've no idea why I didn't get to review these at the time. I bought most of this collection the day it launched as it was and remains one of my all-time favourite releases. It was the Family Reunion collection in Spring 2019, celebrating 20 years of Irregular Choice and this specific range focused on character heels, which you should all know by now, I love. It was a near perfect launch for me; bright colours, quirky materials and trims and obviously these amazing character heels, reinvented, some of which we hadn't seen since their original release. The cat heel was one of those.

Day 1223 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Minnie Mouse sandals and spotty tulle socks and blue tights
Shoes: Tropical Minnie | Irregular Choice x Disney (Mickey & Friends)

A return to the archive photos today as my back has been sore so I was unable to stand to photograph my new(er) Wizard Of Oz shoes.  It's also been pretty dark lately...I've given up trying to predict the weather right now, it's so changeable from day to day and throughout each day.  Unlike most places, we've missed the snow so far though.

Day 1215 - Shoesday Tuesday

bright coloured ankle boots worn with green tights
Shoes: Bobs Ur Uncle | Irregular Choice

An oldie for you today and old photos too, that I haven't yet shown here. I usually take pictures at the weekend, but this week, I just felt so drained. I kept contemplating going into the shoe room and then remembered the piles of shoe boxes I always have to move and decided against it! I have loads of styles I haven't yet fit-reviewed here anyway and many I've already photographed for other posts or social media, so I suppose I can use them and stop making life difficult for myself. I'm also going through my annual shock at how little daylight there is at this time of year and how quickly it gets dark. Why does it surprise me every time?! So it's maybe better I use up old photos during these months and pray for a few hours of light if I buy anything new!

Day 1205 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing jewelled T-bar shoes with acrylic seahorse detail and fishnet tights
Shoes: Hippokampos | Irregular Choice

Another old Irregular Choice sale buy I got a long time ago, but haven't shared yet.  These also came in green, which we all know I'd usually be drawn to, but I really loved the multi-coloured gems on the black pair. The other pair were just one colour. I also love the multi-coloured trim, edging the shoe and the strap, it's stunning in real life, such vivid colours and a reptile finish.  This shoe is just crazy embellished, they really threw everything at it, yet they're still pretty subdued compared to others in my collection.

Day 1201 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing dalmatian print sandals with fluffy neon marabou trim
Shoes: Nicole marabou dalmatian | Sophia Webster

These were another of my birthday shoes from last year, but a pair I'm not intending keeping.  I spoke about it here, I do really think they are awesome, just not sure they are practical enough, even although I'm not known for my sensible shoes! I have to apologise again for the blunder last week...blogging a pair I'd only blogged 6 weeks previous.  My life is that mundane, I didn't even notice until a couple of days later!!  The words did feel familiar, but I had no inclination when editing the photos (idiot), but I just put it down to already reviewing them on PHP.  Wow, what a doofus, even my ever-forgetful Mum was making fun of me for this mistake!

Day 1200 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing black lace socks and red shoes with multi buckle strap fastenings
Shoes: Red sequins embellished buckle shoes | Dolce & Gabbana

*Apologies, I already posted these shoes here a couple of months ago, my memory is clearly non-existent.  I did think it seemed familiar when I was writing the post 😳 Ah well, you get a different sock pairing for them*  You may have already seen these shoes in my review on Pink Haired Princess, they were one of the pairs I bought myself last year for my 40th birthday.  I haven't been able to wear any of the four pairs yet, as I've only left the house once (for my vaccine) in all this time, but I thought I'd review their fit here.  Generally, I find D&G shoes quite small fitting, so I got the half size larger in these (38.5) and they are pretty perfect.  A little narrow in the toe, so you may also want to opt for a slightly roomier fit, but length wise they feel true for me.  All three buckles unfasten and have adjustable straps.  I can get these on and off without taking out the purple velvet one; the grey and red reptile straps and buckles all fasten really easily. There's nothing fiddly, thankfully.  The heel is nice and sturdy to walk on and it feels like your foot is well supported.

Day 1194 - Shoesday Tuesday

close up wearing pointed toe red sequins shoes with embellishment and multi coloured straps and buckles
Shoes: Red Sequins AW17 | Dolce & Gabbana

Hi gang, how are you all this week?  No IC today, these are a pair of shoes I bought last year for my birthday.  If you follow my other blog, Pink Haired Princess, you'll know I buy a special pair of shoes for my birthday each year.  Seeing as I turned 40 last year, I decided to space it out throughout the year and bought 4 pairs.  These were the final pair I got and a style I've had my eye on for a long time.  They are from the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, which featured a lot of these multi-buckled, embellished and sequin designs.

Day 1186 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing SS18 wooden wedge shoes from Irregular Choice with socks
Shoes: Funshine | Irregular Choice

Something very summery today; an older sale buy, originally from Spring/Summer 2018.  These are perfectly named Funshine; such a cheery shoe.  It's a medium weight wooden wedge platform and heel.  I've felt lighter and definitely felt heavier too, but it does feel pretty solid to walk on.  Obviously they are high, there's no denying that, so if you're usually pretty wobbly on higher heels, I'd avoid these as I don't think they are so stable that you'd never fall.  Obviously I haven't properly worn shoes for a year now and I've noticed recently when trying them on for these posts, I'm struggling a bit with comfort, but actually I was fine in these.  No aching arches, no desperation to get them off because they felt too high, so if you do wear heels, you can manage these, just be mindful of uneven surfaces!

Day 1184 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing wedge shoes with toy car theme and mesh socks
Shoes: Spaghetti Junction | Irregular Choice

Another week, another Irregular Choice sale buy!  Like High Score last time, these were from the Gaming collection for Summer last year.  They were also another IC exclusive colourway.  The other option was a bright rainbow finish, which I also liked, but something about the contrast between the black and white with green glitter really drew me in.  Again, their weight or lack of, really surprised me.  This is a super lightweight wedge.  They are a bit tricky to get into at first, with the circular part of the road.  I found just pushing my foot in slowly, bit by bit and pulling that circular part up little by little worked best, rather than trying to do it in one move.  The strapping is elasticated slightly on the inner side which I've photographed below (8th image, visible slit in the red strap).

Day 1174 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing pastel shoes with round glitter heel and patterned tights
Shoes: Nutcracker | Irregular Choice

I have my final festive footwear from the recent Irregular Choice collection to share tonight. On launch day, these immediately caught my eye because of the pretty, pastel colours and how different they were to the other more traditional red, gold and green pairs.  I thought the same thing last year about Sweet Ginger Love, which were (very sadly) too low heeled for me.  They of course, tell the story of The Nutcracker with the soldier on one shoe and sugar plum fairy on the other.  I was a ballet dancer when I was younger and we put on The Nutcracker production one year, I must've been 11 or 12.  I got to be a...rat, the King Rat, but still a rat.  I was gutted, I wanted the big dresses and layers of net, but alas we had to stitch a tail onto grey leggings from Happit and rummage through a pile of charity shop 'treasures' our teacher bought (I ended up with an oversized mustard shirt and cropped sequin waistcoat).  We had swords and had a whole dance situated around sword fighting.  Not the glamour I hoped for!  Anyway, it was my birthday at the time and my childhood school friend bought me a teddy bear with a red bow around it's neck and I named it Clara, after the main character in The Nutcracker.  I still have Clara, for about 20 years, I couldn't sleep without her, she went everywhere with me, even just overnight stays.

Day 1163 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing floral patent ankle boots with dinosaur heels, wide fishnet tights and metallic socks
Shoes: Irregular Choice Roarsum (by Tomi Platts)

I'm back with another shoe fit review and this is a pair I'll also be reviewing in closer detail on Pink Haired Princess in the near future, so keep an eye out for that.  I did blog the other week over there and explained that I have a new laptop, so I'm struggling with uploading and editing photos and I do feel the colour is 'off' here, but thankfully just of my legs and the background rather than the actual shoes and that's what you're here to see!  So, Tomi designed this colourway of the mega popular Roarsum dino heels.  You probably know I have a pair of the originals (fit review here), in the croc-patent-floral material, so I'll refer back to those in this post, along with the other dino heels that launched last year for Family Reunion, Jurassotops.

Day 1160 - Shoesday Tuesday

legs wearing grey leopard print tights and little mermaid water globe heeled shoes
Shoes: Irregular Choice Make A Splash (The Little Mermaid)

So my Disney order arrived on Saturday and it's given me a chance to try everything on and I'm hoping to run through fit reviews of all 3 pairs I bought, as soon as possible, rather than leaving it to one a week.  First up are one of my Little Mermaid pairs, Make A Splash.  I actually nearly didn't buy these.  The boots were top of my list initially and as these have the same heel, I thought I should go for other (different) pieces first.  I'm so glad I changed my mind, almost everything sold out of all sizes on the day and they are really lovely.  The uppers are an iridescent sequins, so they change colour a bit depending on their surroundings.  Sometimes they are almost white or pink or lilac.  The pinky bit is a very pale pink, then you have that glitter platform which is covered in multiple sized bits of various colours.  It's shedding everywhere, it looks like there's been a party in the shoe room, the floor is covered!

Day 1155 - Shoesday Tuesday

side view of legs wearing lilac deer heeled shoes in green glitter with yellow straps
Shoes: Irregular Choice Fantastic Fawn

Hello! Haven't had a Shoesday post in a long time (April actually)!  If you follow my Instagram or have seen my posts on Pink Haired Princess, you'll know I fell instantly in love with the most recent Irregular Choice collection.  It was called Family Reunion and was basically a bunch of the oldest character heels remade in completely different uppers with some of the heels updated in new ways too.  So, I thought I'd work my way through my haul with fit reviews, starting with my most favourite pair (yep, I've mentally ranked them), Fantastic Fawn.

Day 1152 - Shoesday Tuesday

legs wearing heart print tights and purple, blue and pink metallic heart heeled shoes
Shoes: Irregular Choice Shoely Not

I think I said this in my Tingle Tastic Shoesday post last year, but I was really disappointed with this heart heel.  While I usually gravitate towards quirky heel shapes, this one just felt so unoriginal, dated and not Irregular Choice like.  However, I fell in love with the shoe when I saw it in Carnaby Street in May.  Heel aside, the uppers in all of the styles were beautiful.  I really love the strange colour combination on these and the fabric at the front is so pretty.  It's a sheer lurex style material with multi coloured threading through it and metallic polka dots on top and it's ruched, creating this really cool effect that's so shimmery.  It's something that doesn't come across that well on camera, it has to be seen in the flesh really.  I was pretty mesmerised by it when I first saw it.
