Day 1254 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Merrie Melodies Looney Tunes
Shoes: Merrie Melodies | Irregular Choice (Looney Tunes)

Today I have the second part of my Looney Tunes haul from Irregular Choice after the Saturday Morning ankle boots last week.  Unlike those, the style today wasn't an IC exclusive, so is available from most stockists and also came in a darker colourway.  The cloud and Tweety Pie portion of the heel is exactly the same as last time, though the platform, as I mentioned last week is mirrored gold.  As I said then, while I like the slightly reflective nature of it, I do think it looks a bit cheap.  You'll see I have one downward looking bird and one sitting up to attention.  I think both were a bit droopy on the boots.

Day 1248 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Dotty Love
Shoes: Dotty Love (red) | Irregular Choice

Another heart themed pair from my photo archives this week, after the cut-out heart heeled, Rosie Posy last time. I have previously fit reviewed Dotty Love actually, as I bought them in two colours. They launched for SS15 and I got the red and blue, but they also came in black (all with a white base).

Day 1236 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Pixie Dust
Shoes: Pixie Dust | Irregular Choice

A right oldie for you today. These super high platforms debuted for AW13 with various uppers. Marble Moose, Toffee Splatter and Antonella, I've shown here before. Tic Tac Toe, I've never owned (they seriously grew on me, I wish I did have them) and I don't know why Pixie Dust haven't appeared here until now, as I've had them all this time. They also came in green, I don't think there was a big enough contrast between the two to justify owning both. MM however came in three very different colourways that I'd happily buy all of!

Day 1223 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Minnie Mouse sandals and spotty tulle socks and blue tights
Shoes: Tropical Minnie | Irregular Choice x Disney (Mickey & Friends)

A return to the archive photos today as my back has been sore so I was unable to stand to photograph my new(er) Wizard Of Oz shoes.  It's also been pretty dark lately...I've given up trying to predict the weather right now, it's so changeable from day to day and throughout each day.  Unlike most places, we've missed the snow so far though.

Day 1213 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Sanrio Little Twin Stars pastel printed tights with sequins yellow bunny heeled court shoes
Shoes: Paint A Flopsy | Irregular Choice

I wasn't going to show you these until I decorated the heel, but seeing as I shared the Paint Your Own Heels collection from 2021, I figured I may as well show the originals.  These launched last March, before the unicorns (which I can't show you because they are half done, but I've neglected them for months).  The collection in 2021 also included a bunny heel (Paint A Bunny), which I felt was different enough to justify owning both (and I have different ideas for the heels).

Day 1207 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Hello Kitty themed tights and boots with Kitty shaped heel
Shoes: Playing Dress Up | Irregular Choice x Sanrio

So, this week I have the first of my Irregular Choice Sanrio footwear buys from the collection that launched recently.  I've written a summary of the items I bought and my first impressions over on Pink Haired Princess and I was slightly critical of these boots.  They were a style we saw in the previews and I thought a pair, I'd definitely keep, but when they arrived I wasn't so sure.  Having properly tried them on for this post, I've changed my mind yet again, I really like them! Isn't that typical?

Day 1186 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing SS18 wooden wedge shoes from Irregular Choice with socks
Shoes: Funshine | Irregular Choice

Something very summery today; an older sale buy, originally from Spring/Summer 2018.  These are perfectly named Funshine; such a cheery shoe.  It's a medium weight wooden wedge platform and heel.  I've felt lighter and definitely felt heavier too, but it does feel pretty solid to walk on.  Obviously they are high, there's no denying that, so if you're usually pretty wobbly on higher heels, I'd avoid these as I don't think they are so stable that you'd never fall.  Obviously I haven't properly worn shoes for a year now and I've noticed recently when trying them on for these posts, I'm struggling a bit with comfort, but actually I was fine in these.  No aching arches, no desperation to get them off because they felt too high, so if you do wear heels, you can manage these, just be mindful of uneven surfaces!

Day 1166 - Shoesday Tuesday

legs wearing tulle socks and showing one side of shoe in rainbow fluffy material, the other foot in polka dot unicorn print
Shoes: Irregular Choice Heavens Above

I was planning on posting my fit review of these weeks ago, but stuff kept getting in the way. I finally got the post finished tonight though, also managed to squeeze in taking photos of the other lightning bolt pair I bought, so I'll aim for those next week. I've already written an in-depth review with loads of photos on Pink Haired Princess, so won't go into the style of these Heavens Above too much here, but this post is quite photo heavy, they're just so photogenic!

Day 1152 - Shoesday Tuesday

legs wearing heart print tights and purple, blue and pink metallic heart heeled shoes
Shoes: Irregular Choice Shoely Not

I think I said this in my Tingle Tastic Shoesday post last year, but I was really disappointed with this heart heel.  While I usually gravitate towards quirky heel shapes, this one just felt so unoriginal, dated and not Irregular Choice like.  However, I fell in love with the shoe when I saw it in Carnaby Street in May.  Heel aside, the uppers in all of the styles were beautiful.  I really love the strange colour combination on these and the fabric at the front is so pretty.  It's a sheer lurex style material with multi coloured threading through it and metallic polka dots on top and it's ruched, creating this really cool effect that's so shimmery.  It's something that doesn't come across that well on camera, it has to be seen in the flesh really.  I was pretty mesmerised by it when I first saw it.

Day 1129 - Shoesday Tuesday

crossed legs wearing gold fishnet tights and irregular choice christmas shoes
Shoes: Mr & Mrs Clause Irregular Choice

Hello, another outfit for you this week. This time from Christmas Day. We were spending it with my older sister and her brood, so we got up as usual in the morning, but with the intention of not opening all our presents (as we might not have time). My younger sister and I were pretty speedy (and Mum doesn't wrap much for me as she knows it tires me out), so we managed everything and our stockings, had a quick breakfast and off I went to get ready. Obviously I was wearing my Santa heels again-trying to get as much use out of them as I could and not pictured here is the gingerbread bag from last week, which I also took. I bought this dress in the sale over summer after ogling it last year in the winter sale (well, 2 years ago actually or maybe even 3, must remember it's 2018 now). I'm glad I didn't buy it back then, because I've had to sell all the coats and dresses I bought at the time as they are too big now. It's most definitely a wiggle dress, getting in and out of cars was tricky to say the least!  I was pretty roasty-toasty in it too. It's fully lined and the collar is removable, the fur hem isn't, but I liked it with the fur around the neck too. The neckline is quite high at the front, but lower at the back.  I had to try the outfit on again for this post, because I didn't have time on the day and isn't it always the way that when you feel nice in an outfit, you don't get photos of it?  I only managed to sneak in a couple of selfies before leaving, so I look a bit awkward in them!

Day 1128 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice light up Christmas shoes
Shoes: Mr & Mrs Clause Irregular Choice

Hello and Happy New Year to you all!  I took a little break from blogging and social media over the past few weeks, because there was so much going on in the run up to Christmas that I couldn't manage it all.  As usual, it all felt a bit of a chore and rushed in the end, then my sister was sent home from work with the flu, which really threw our usual traditions and plans.  She's been really ill with it.  She's back at work now, after having to take 3 weeks off, but is struggling.  She's really weak and finding it hard to stand all day and walk the distances she used to.  I can sympathise!  Sitting on hard backed chairs for meals, wearing makeup and getting dressed and wrapping presents are all things that have hit me hard over the festive period.  They may seem like 'little' things, but a few days on, I'm still in pain from our meal on New Years Day.  All this activity though means I do have a few outfit posts for you.

Day 1126 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Mr and Mrs Clause shoes on feet with spot tights
Shoes: Irregular Choice Mr and Mrs Clause

Hello, I know, I know, it's Wednesday not Tuesday!  Well actually Thursday now, as technology has not been on my side this week.  I thought my laptop died on Tuesday.  It had been working fine then froze repeatedly, resulting in me forcing it shut each time, only for it to do it all over again.  Our internet connection has also been playing up and dropping out completely that I can't get anything done and my sister came home from work early yesterday because they'd been flooded (literally pouring in, they were wading through it to save as much stock as they could), so it's been a bit crazy.  Anyway, new shoes and yep, that's another pair of Santa heels in my collection!

Day 1108 - Shoesday Tuesday (Extra)

wearing irregular choice disney sherbet ice cream
Shoes: Irregular Choice Sherbet Ice Cream* (Disney Mickey & Friends)

"What's this?" I hear you ask, Shoesday Tuesday on a Friday? Well seeing as this collection has just gone live and I know how tricky it can be when you don't know which size to buy online, I thought you'd want the fit information on these as soon as possible.

Day 1063 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Alice In Wonderland 'All Mad Here' boots

This week I have the second of my teapot heels and my penultimate from the Irregular Choice 'Alice' collection. You can click these links to see One Lump Or Two?, Flowers Can't Talk and Tea With Alice and there's more in-depth reviews on Pink Haired Princess too. Like I mentioned in another post, this was the one style where I misjudged the sizing. I figured a boot without any opening might be difficult to get into and I had no idea if the elastic sides were really stretchy or already quite taut. Add to that the fact I usually have to size up in IC boots (though normally for more leg room than the foot), I thought it seemed wiser to have them too big, than too small and with boots you can always wear socks underneath.

Day 1058 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice blue Dotty Love

I'm a little late for Valentine's Day with this pair of heart heels, though you do have to look to find it, so I just about get away with it.

Day 1055 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood 'Wendy' ankle boots

Hello, how are you all this week? Today I have possibly the most bargainous boots ever, though they proved rather hard to obtain! Don't worry the story has a happy ending, which makes a pleasant change given my luck with shoes and other orders recently. So I bought these back in May last year. I was browsing the Shoeaholics website, having not placed an order for a while and discovered they were selling several Nicholas Kirkwood styles. Now I have a wishlist (in my head) of specific shoe styles I've missed or would like to own and also brands in general that I'd love to own anything from. NK is one such designer.

12 Shoes Of Christmas - Day 5

I'm having a little bit of a meltdown today. A week today, it's Christmas Eve. I don't know how that happened! I feel both November and December have just flown by. I haven't even tackled my Christmas cards yet (I have bought them, so I suppose that's something), but I've not wrapped anything, I still have something to get for my Dad and another little thing for Mum. It's supposed to be easier this year because my friends and I decided against us all sending presents (they all have children now, so I bought for the kids instead, but between 5 of them, there's 11 children). I've had a headache all week that only subsides to bring back my old pal, chest pain or sometimes I get both at once! Plus I have the usual tiredness, aches and pains, which don't go away just because it's Christmas.

Day 1046 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Red 'Truly Magical' Irregular Choice

A wonderful pair of shoes for Shoesday Tuesday this week, which I'm really excited about. Though I just realised that's red shoes (and indeed IC again) for two weeks running, oops. It's true I've always had a weakness for red shoes and handbags too actually, especially if they are shiny. My Mum is the same, so I'll blame the genes!

Day 1018 - Shoesday Tuesday

Wearing Irregular Choice Fluffy Tail gold bunny heels
Shoes: Pink 'Fluffy Tail' Irregular Choice

So here's the runner up that you chose to see next (thank you for your votes), the bunnies! Can you believe it was last November that I got these, but you've never seen them here yet?
