Another archive set of photos for you this week after my Hot Shot teddies last time. Flaming June are from SS17 and came in various colours. I wanted the mint green the most (no surprise there), but ended up with the pink. I much prefer cooler shades of pink and IC tend to make theirs very warm and peachy.

Day 1261 - Shoesday Tuesday
Shoes: Hot Shot | Irregular Choice
An old pair of IC's for you today after my Charlotte Olympia glitter perspex heels last week. Hot Shot were a style from SS11, which I found on eBay a few years later. I was never very sure about this heel, mainly, was it too low for me? It is quite, especially given the bigger platform which is half hidden and half visible. It takes the heel down to under 3", but they were such a good find I thought they were worth a try and I do really like them.

Day 1252 - Shoesday Tuesday
Shoes: Vargas elevated | Vivienne Westwood
If I threw you a curveball last week with the (almost) flat Irregular Choice Booyah, then you'll feel much more at home with these high heels and big platforms. When I got these shoes last month, they immediately went onto my favourites list, I absolutely love them. They'd been on my radar, but I hadn't been keeping a close eye on them until the sales started. Luckily for me, the place that had them the cheapest and still in my size, made further reductions just days later, so there was no hesitation, I bought them right away. They were the last pair and have since gone in most sizes elsewhere, so I was very lucky. I actually own these on Stardoll and wear them a lot there, which was what made me look them up again. It always makes me weirdly satisfied when my virtual me and the real me own the same clothes!

Day 1186 - Shoesday Tuesday
Shoes: Funshine | Irregular Choice
Something very summery today; an older sale buy, originally from Spring/Summer 2018. These are perfectly named Funshine; such a cheery shoe. It's a medium weight wooden wedge platform and heel. I've felt lighter and definitely felt heavier too, but it does feel pretty solid to walk on. Obviously they are high, there's no denying that, so if you're usually pretty wobbly on higher heels, I'd avoid these as I don't think they are so stable that you'd never fall. Obviously I haven't properly worn shoes for a year now and I've noticed recently when trying them on for these posts, I'm struggling a bit with comfort, but actually I was fine in these. No aching arches, no desperation to get them off because they felt too high, so if you do wear heels, you can manage these, just be mindful of uneven surfaces!

Day 1181 - Shoesday Tuesday
Shoes: Felt circus platforms | REDValentino
I've had these shoes for a couple of years now, but I thought I'd share my fit review today and I fancied a change from the usual Irregular Choice! I lusted after these shoes from the moment I saw them in the Autumn/Winter 2015/16 collection and eventually got them in my size. REDValentino is like the fun, flirty, younger sister of the Valentino brand. Ever since their launch, I've loved their aesthetic and this isn't my first pair of their shoes. I've also always loved circus themed things, I don't know why as I've never actually been to a real circus!

Day 1163 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Roarsum (by Tomi Platts)
I'm back with another shoe fit review and this is a pair I'll also be reviewing in closer detail on Pink Haired Princess in the near future, so keep an eye out for that. I did blog the other week over there and explained that I have a new laptop, so I'm struggling with uploading and editing photos and I do feel the colour is 'off' here, but thankfully just of my legs and the background rather than the actual shoes and that's what you're here to see! So, Tomi designed this colourway of the mega popular Roarsum dino heels. You probably know I have a pair of the originals (fit review here), in the croc-patent-floral material, so I'll refer back to those in this post, along with the other dino heels that launched last year for Family Reunion, Jurassotops.

Day 1141 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Barbie Girl, Charlotte Olympia
Most of you know I'm a big dolly fan, so I was super excited when Charlotte Olympia collaborated with Mattel on this Barbie collection. Given their hefty price-tag (£1145 for this pair!!), it's taken me a while to own any, but earlier this year I managed to find one pair in my size for a very reasonable price. I know some TK Maxx stores are stocking them now too (this wasn't where I got mine), my parents saw them in Manchester and I was a bit worried they'd see the original price and think I'd paid that for them! I also know they've been getting quite a lot of flack in TK Maxx as many think they are hideous. A friend of mine absolutely hates when I wear any of my Blythe or doll themed shoes, as they give her the creeps, so I do get it, but personally this is right up my street and I think they're beautiful.

Day 1133 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Tingle Tastic
It's been a little over a month since my last post. I'm daytime sleeping a lot and not feeling particularly motivated when I am awake, so I'm unable to commit to posting regularly, which gets me down sometimes. It's to be expected, London was a huge thing and I've noticed if I do something now (like a small outing), it floors me, when pre-London it probably wouldn't have. It'll just take time and honestly I was prepared to give up the rest of my year for having such an awesome time and fabulous experience.

Day 1123 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Muppets Louder! Louder!
I'm sorry this post is later than intended. I've had two days of internet so slow, it was almost non-existent. It was a nightmare as I just couldn't do anything, it wouldn't open anything, images wouldn't load, flash certainly wouldn't work and it never once properly lost connection ("there are no issues with your connection", I beg to differ matey)! So yeah, you know when you get the rage, like THE rage, I was at that point. It was either me or the laptop about to be launched out the window, it was so frustrating. Then yesterday afternoon, it just reverted back to normality. So weird. Something was definitely amiss somewhere and it wasn't anything to do with my laptop. Also next day deliveries that don't arrive next day....I don't get it. It's not a complex concept, you pay for it, you order before the cut-off, then they take 2 days to deliver it, just because they feel like it. What? If I can have another moan, winter. Ok, I quite like it, I enjoy the run-up to Christmas, I don't mind seeing decorations and hearing Christmas tunes, but the lack of daylight, I can't stand it. I forget every single year, how ridiculously early it gets dark (currently just before half 4 here) and that I have a very small window of opportunity in which to take photos for the blog. I don't have the patience for it. Anyway moany moan over, let's talk Muppet shoes! You can find my Miss Piggy ankle boots here and today it's the turn of Animal.

Day 1067 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: 'Coco' clown platforms Terry De Havilland
Yay, it's Tuesday, my favourite blogging day! If you are new to The Shoe Girl Diaries, then willkommen and let me summarise what I do here. I used to blog outfit posts, several times a week, with the emphasis on the shoes. Actually, I began the blog with the challenge of wearing and photographing my extensive shoe collection. With a different pair each day and no repetitions, but that's a story in itself! Due to my health deteriorating a couple of years ago, I was no longer able to get dressed regularly, thus Shoesday Tuesday was born. Every Tuesday, I choose a pair of shoes I haven't previously shown on the blog and try them on, detailing information such as fit, heel heights, fastenings etc. I buy all my shoes online, so I know it's handy to have this information. You'd have thought (indeed I did) that I'd run out of 'never seen before' shoes, but my first Shoesday Tuesday was back in June 2014 and we've had 84 Shoesday posts since then! On my last count I have plenty of months ahead, so no need to panic just yet!

Day 1038 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Tall Tail
A very special Shoesday Tuesday for you this week, featuring absolutely astounding shoes! I can't quite believe I own these, but last week I took the plunge and ordered the Tall Tail unicorn 'extreme' platforms by Irregular Choice (Gold Star) I'd been eyeing all summer. I admit I bought them purely for display purposes (the shoe room needs them) but didn't expect them to be quite so wearable. Yep, you read that correctly, you can actually walk easily in these.

Day 1036 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Pink 'Kitty Princess' Irregular Choice
Another outfit post for you this week, again from a wee while ago. It was the last time I left the house, I can't remember when, beginning of July I think. Yet another hospital appointment, this time with a specialist. I use that term loosely! Not sure why they insist upon such early starts for patients with chronic illnesses. So I wasn't sure what to wear, what the weather would be like and didn't have much time, but now that I'm not wearing makeup, I can get ready pretty quickly.

Day 1014 - Shoesday Tuesday
Shoes: Markus Lupfer cat platforms
Morning! How are you all this week? I mentioned I had a treat for you with regards to new shoes and here they are! You'll perhaps recall way back in September, I styled the blue version and became absolutely besotted with them. I preferred that colour over the black, though when I came to think of it, the black would probably be more versatile with my wardrobe. I almost bought the blue ones as I'd been keeping a very watchful eye on them in the sale (and still haven't given up on getting them). However the black were heavily discounted and after seeing my size sell out, I decided to buy the bigger size when they reached a ridiculous 80% off in the Net-a-Porter sale (now completely sold out-I literally got that last pair).
