Day 1249 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Shimmy Pom Pom
Shoes: Shimmy Pom Pom | Irregular Choice

Another unusual wedge shaped heel for you this week after Dotty Love last time, although I didn't think I'd be able to post at all. I actually have a couple of new pairs of shoes to show you, however this heat is killing me, it's unbearable. There's absolutely no way I was attempting to empty the shoe room overspill, then shut myself in and wear tights/pose for photos in said incubator. I expected to do my usual and find some old photos on my laptop, but it's even been too hot for that. I'm sleeping more (probably because the heat makes it too difficult to sleep at night) and any attempt to sit with a hot laptop near me has failed quickly the past few days, I just can't concentrate or focus.  I honestly don't know how people manage to go about their lives and work in this.  It's been somewhat cooler at times today (i.e. enough for me not to have the fan on full-blast), so I did manage to scavenge some old photos of a much older style, dating back to 2007, but as I'm typing it's boiling again and it's early evening!

Day 1237 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Hop To It
Shoes: Hop To It | Irregular Choice

I've overdone it this past week (making a 40th birthday card for my sister), so the new shoes I'd hoped to show you, will have to wait another week.  I bought Hop To It, back when they launched in Spring 2018.  The photos are from a year later, when I was doing #365daysofIrregularChoice on Instagram and I have to say my feet have clearly grown since.

Day 1231 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice green Carni Val shoes worn with sequins socks
Shoes: Carni Val | Irregular Choice

Today I've been thinking about some of my all-time favourite IC styles, having shown you a couple lately (the bunny Lapin boots last week and Smitten Kitten from the amazing Family Reunion collection) and the pair I'm showing you today are definitely up there. The heel-less wedge is one of my favourite heel shapes and probably the one that raises most questions. It confuses people for sure! I've said it with all my other styles and I'll say it again, you honestly don't feel any different to wearing a regular wedge heeled shoe. Yes, your foot is completely supported, no, they aren't difficult to walk in and no, you don't need to adapt your style of walking in any way.  You truly forget there isn't a regular heel there.

Day 1219 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Irregular Choice lace and suede court shoes with cut out platform heel
Shoes: Queenie | Irregular Choice

Back to the archive styles today and you'll likely recall I went crazy for this heel shape when it was released in 2017. I originally bought the mint Kir Royal and Tatsu ankle boot, going on to buy the black KR and then this style, Queenie, in pink and black. Neither colour I've shared here before, so here's the pink version, though it's more a dusky, mauve type shade to me in real life.

Day 1186 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing SS18 wooden wedge shoes from Irregular Choice with socks
Shoes: Funshine | Irregular Choice

Something very summery today; an older sale buy, originally from Spring/Summer 2018.  These are perfectly named Funshine; such a cheery shoe.  It's a medium weight wooden wedge platform and heel.  I've felt lighter and definitely felt heavier too, but it does feel pretty solid to walk on.  Obviously they are high, there's no denying that, so if you're usually pretty wobbly on higher heels, I'd avoid these as I don't think they are so stable that you'd never fall.  Obviously I haven't properly worn shoes for a year now and I've noticed recently when trying them on for these posts, I'm struggling a bit with comfort, but actually I was fine in these.  No aching arches, no desperation to get them off because they felt too high, so if you do wear heels, you can manage these, just be mindful of uneven surfaces!

Day 1184 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing wedge shoes with toy car theme and mesh socks
Shoes: Spaghetti Junction | Irregular Choice

Another week, another Irregular Choice sale buy!  Like High Score last time, these were from the Gaming collection for Summer last year.  They were also another IC exclusive colourway.  The other option was a bright rainbow finish, which I also liked, but something about the contrast between the black and white with green glitter really drew me in.  Again, their weight or lack of, really surprised me.  This is a super lightweight wedge.  They are a bit tricky to get into at first, with the circular part of the road.  I found just pushing my foot in slowly, bit by bit and pulling that circular part up little by little worked best, rather than trying to do it in one move.  The strapping is elasticated slightly on the inner side which I've photographed below (8th image, visible slit in the red strap).

Day 1183 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: High Score | Irregular Choice

The Irregular Choice sale came to a close this week, so I bought the final pieces I'd had on my wishlist (well the bits that were still in stock). Then I got the guilts, even although I've been coveting them since they launched last year! I was in two minds about whether or not to keep these ones, but after trying them on with these tights, I decided they were a keeper. Unfortunately the photos turned out quite dark and brightening them just made the tights look white (when they aren't) and I was getting that moiré thing going on too, so I've stalled on this post all day! However, here we are.

Day 1154 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice black Kir Royal

I'm realising throughout #365daysofIrregularChoice on Instagram that there's an awful lot of shoes I've had for a while that I've never posted fit reviews for here.  I can remember back to when I started my Shoesday Tuesday posts, as I'd been less able to get dressed and out of the house, so didn't have outfits to show here and I figured a time would come when I didn't have any fresh shoes to share either. That was the reason I kept it to once weekly, as any more than that and I might've run out.  Wow, why did I think so naively?!!  Do not fear, the posts will continue for a looong time!  Actually I rarely posted outfits last year, so still have those to share at some point too.  Ah the to-do list is another endless task.  Ok, back to the shoes and you may recall me buying these in mint, reviewed here in 2017.  Well I wasn't as enamoured with the black version to be honest, but the more I saw them, the more they grew on me.  I managed to get them in the sale and I should've sized down, because like the mint pair they are large.  Same deal, roomy all over, especially wide in the heel area.  Mine were sent missing the pearl straps, so I had to wait a while to get replacements from the factory.  Had it come down to it, they could've shared with the mint pair, but clipping and unclipping 4 sets of pearls would've become a bit tiresome.

Day 1151 - Shoesday Tuesday

feet side by side on wooden floor wearing turquoise hand painted floral wedges with ivory patent uppers and red trim
Shoes: Alaska Irregular Choice

I wasn't going to have a Shoesday post this week as I have a lot on and didn't think I'd manage that as well (I wasn't organised with photos).  However, I was snapping these for 365 Of Irregular Choice on Instagram and quickly popped them on and it turned into enough photos for a post, so here we are.  I've wanted these shoes for ages, any of the painted wedge styles to be honest, I wasn't overly fussed which colour (though y'know me and green or blue options and these do come in blue) and these popped up, but a size too small.  I wondered if I should just get them anyway and either try and swap them for one of the pairs in my size or for something else.  I also secretly hoped they would fit in the smaller size and I'd get to keep them!  Turns out, they do and I can.

Day 1134 - Did I Let Go Of Your Hand For A Castle Made Of Sand

close up of foot wearing glitter heel less tropical marble printed shoes with black fluffy pom poms
Shoes: Blue Carni Val Irregular Choice

Hello gang, how are you all today?  No Shoesday post yesterday as I was busy photographing the new fairy toadstool shoes (see initial snaps here) and I collapsed in a heap afterwards and slept all afternoon.  As much as I'd have liked to get the fit reviews up for those styles and for you to see (especially the boots) on my feet, there's no way I would've been able to stand for photos.  My legs were unresponsive!  So instead I have an outfit post today of a pair of shoes you've seen before.  I've decided to go back to doing outfit posts outside of my Shoesday ones and reserving Tuesday for never before seen here shoes.  I have enough of both to keep me going for some time!

Day 1121 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Maya birdcage boots on the foot
Shoes: Irregular Choice blue and pink birdcage Maya boots

I have the very latest character heel from Irregular Choice to show you today. I've just reviewed them in more detail on Pink Haired Princess, so head over there afterwards for that. I said there that they are a similar shape to my Glissade or Call Me Cinders in the foot, though obviously these are a taller boot. They hit mid-calf on me and I bought them in my usual size (5/38) after much deliberating. Both those other styles I sized up in, hence the dilemma. Glissade were super small and just fitted in the bigger size, CMC were more generous, so a little bit of wiggle room in the size up. I've been finding IC big lately (mostly) and I figured with the zip and laces, I could fiddle around until they fit.

Day 1120 - Shoesday Tuesday Extra

wearing Irregular Choice Tatsu ankle boots with cuff worn up
Shoes: Irregular Choice Tatsu

A couple of weeks ago when I wore the Tatsu boots, I said the cuff wasn't stitched down, so could be moved around and worn as you wished. I popped a few pics of some options on my Facebook page, but I had a couple of requests to see those from other angles. So I have lots of photos for you today.  If you want the details on heel height and how I found the fit, that's in the original post here

Day 1119 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Irregular Choice mint Kir Royal shoes with blue net tights
Shoes: Irregular Choice Kir Royal

An absolutely dreamy pair of shoes for you today and one of my favourite ever designs from IC. It was most definitely love at first sight with these. The colour (mint has been my favourite colour since I was little), the fur, pearls, interesting heel concept and the beautiful heart detail at the back (that back view is stunning). They are utterly beautiful. This is the type of thing I'm hoping to see from The Muppets collection.  Something a little bonkers, fun and silly and Irregular Choice are the perfect brand to do that, so fingers crossed.

Day 1118 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice tatsu cut out dragon wedge boots
Shoes: Irregular Choice gold Tatsu

Hello, another week and another new Irregular Choice release! I keep saying it, but this season has just been tremendous so far. I'll be paying my Mum back for all these until Easter, but she knows I'm good for it! I actually spent the weekend eBaying more stuff. I have all these fabulous winter coats I bought before I lost weight and none of them fit now. Mostly unworn too, so getting rid of them will free up space and pay for some of these shoes. I went shopping last week and the clothes in the shops are dire. Absolutely nothing took my fancy, so I'm nowhere near replacing all the stuff I'm getting rid of. I'm still finding more items in my wardrobe that have become too big (don't know why because I haven't lost weight in months-the novelty of being able to eat chocolate and cakes still hasn't worn off since my operation)! So I keep adding to the sale pile, but never buy any new clothes.  I think I prefer shopping online with boutique brands to the stuff on the high street nowadays. At this rate I'll be naked and poor but with pretty shoes on my feet. Hmm, what a thought! I really wasn't feeling up to eBaying and boy did those coats weigh a ton, it was hard, physical work photographing and measuring them, but it's done and hopefully they sell. Anyway, back to the shoes and it's a brand new heel concept, which I'm really excited about.

Day 1109 - Shoesday Tuesday

irregular choice disney oh boy shoes
Shoes: Irregular Choice Oh Boy (Disney Mickey & Friends)

Following on from my extra Shoesday post last Friday, I have the second and final pair of shoes I got from the Irregular Choice Disney Mickey & Friends collection. I was quite reserved in my footwear purchases, especially given the size of this range, but that was mostly because I was after 3 handbags (and a purse) too, so had to choose wisely. Sherbet Ice Cream were floral and brightly coloured character heels, so I went in the opposite direction for my second choice, perhaps more 'traditional' when thinking of Mickey colours and with one of my favourite heels.

Day 1089 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice call me cinders
Shoes: Call Me Cinders Irregular Choice (Cinderella)

Apologies this is almost a week late, I wrote about my brief hiatus over on Pink Haired Princess earlier tonight, so that should explain my absence.  I've been desperate to show you these shoes too, so I was getting really agitated having to wait!! I had a feeling these would be the pair I'd really like (before release) but both Call Me Cinders and Home Before 12 (metallic pink with gold glitter) had been delayed and were released a couple of weeks after the initial Cinderella collection, so there was a bit of a wait.

Day 1086 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice blue carni val
Shoes: Blue Carni Val Irregular Choice

Hello, how are you all today? Another outfit from the "archives" this week. Well actually this one was just in August, so not too long ago. I had a trip to....you guessed it, the doctor! This might've been to discuss the blood test results and decide what to do next.  No idea really, these appointments are beginning to blur. Anyway, I was feeling rather inspired this day and was like "I'm just going to go for it and wear something a little off-beat, because I can". You've seen this Collectif skirt before. It's a deeper turquoise than it photographs and the black spots are flocked. It's really high waisted (and came with detachable braces which I never wear), so essentially sits just under my bust and I was in a bit of a quandary as to what to do on top. Usually I'd tuck the top in (even though it makes me look booby), but as I was wearing this cardi, it didn't feel right. The cardigan is a little cropped, so it didn't cover the lower waist seam of the skirt, but I don't think that mattered. Then the shoes, oh the shoes.

Day 1058 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice blue Dotty Love

I'm a little late for Valentine's Day with this pair of heart heels, though you do have to look to find it, so I just about get away with it.
