Shoes: Poker Joker | Irregular Choice 

My only shoe buy from the IC summer sale and my third variation of this style (4th of the heel).  Last week, I shared the very beautiful Ava's Aviary birdcage heels from several years back.  The dice heel was first introduced in August 2015, with Poker Joker in two colourways (I bought the sequins ones).  Then three sequins PJ's launched as part of the Bring Back collections in 2021, with a further two pairs released earlier this year.  You may remember I bought a pair, but I was holding out for these ones to go into the sale.

Shoes: Barnacle Betty | Irregular Choice 

Another set of old photos and a pair I find it hard to believe I've never reviewed here before (from SS17).  Firstly, last week were the lilac version of Pooch Perfect boots if you missed those and there's a link in that post to the white pair I reviewed first.  These perspex carved heels haven't been appearing all that much lately.  There were ankle boots in both Pokemon and The Wizard Of Oz collections, along with the red Click Your Heels shoes that I bought from Oz and prior to that, Little Twin Stars shoes in the Sanrio launch.

Shoes: Pooch Perfect | Irregular Choice 

I finally get to share this pair with you as it's my birthday this week and Mum said she'd give me these boots (after I ordered them last month), so although they've been in my possession, I haven't wanted to wear them before now. Last week, I posted the heavily embellished Garden Gala-it seems I've been buying ankle boots a lot lately!

Shoes: Daisy Dreams | Irregular Choice 

When I spoke last week about having to compromise on certain aspects of footwear these days, these boots immediately sprung to mind.  Daisy Dreams launched for SS19 and while I instantly loved the theme and colours, the heel height was really off-putting for me.  With such a large platform, it essentially takes the heel down to a very small 2 1/4", which means your foot is almost flat inside.  It's nowhere near the elevation my feet are accustomed to.

Shoes: Smitten Kitten | Irregular Choice 

A while back I went through about a years worth of folders on my laptop looking for shoes I hadn't yet shared here but already had pictures of. I've no idea why I didn't get to review these at the time. I bought most of this collection the day it launched as it was and remains one of my all-time favourite releases. It was the Family Reunion collection in Spring 2019, celebrating 20 years of Irregular Choice and this specific range focused on character heels, which you should all know by now, I love. It was a near perfect launch for me; bright colours, quirky materials and trims and obviously these amazing character heels, reinvented, some of which we hadn't seen since their original release. The cat heel was one of those.

I had hoped to show you something from the new Irregular Choice Christmas collection that launched last Friday.  However my order was supposed to arrive on Saturday, but due to an error, didn't come until today, so I've had to change plans to an older style and very non-Christmassy I might add!

Here's the final pair from my Sanrio Irregular Choice order a few weeks back.  The pair we saw in previews, that I was sure I wanted and when they arrived, sure I wanted to keep.

Shoes: Paint A Bunny | Irregular Choice

So here are the third pair of Paint Your Own Heels from the recent Irregular Choice collection, you can find my fawn pair from last week here.  Last year when IC launched their first heels to decorate, the bunny mould was one of them.  I bought them, but haven't done anything to them yet (have had a plan for a long time, but just never gotten round to it).  That pair were yellow sequins court shoes, so these felt different enough to also buy.

Shoes: Felicette | Irregular Choice 

The minute I saw these boots last season, I knew I had to have them.  Then I tried to talk myself out of them, after getting the much fancier, but similar themed Warp Speed.  I resisted them when they were heavily discounted during the Black Friday sales (only because I had no money) and once the Christmas sales came, they'd sold out everywhere.  I kept trying to console myself, saying they'd maybe be too low heeled, the colour wasn't as exciting as the stock photos showed etc etc.  However, Lottie's eventually reduced them and they were the only remaining place I could find with my size in this colour (they also come in black) and I had a voucher to spend too, so I swooped and I'm so glad I did.  They far exceeded my expectations.

Shoes: Nutcracker | Irregular Choice 

I have my final festive footwear from the recent Irregular Choice collection to share tonight. On launch day, these immediately caught my eye because of the pretty, pastel colours and how different they were to the other more traditional red, gold and green pairs.  I thought the same thing last year about Sweet Ginger Love, which were (very sadly) too low heeled for me.  They of course, tell the story of The Nutcracker with the soldier on one shoe and sugar plum fairy on the other.  I was a ballet dancer when I was younger and we put on The Nutcracker production one year, I must've been 11 or 12.  I got to be a...rat, the King Rat, but still a rat.  I was gutted, I wanted the big dresses and layers of net, but alas we had to stitch a tail onto grey leggings from Happit and rummage through a pile of charity shop 'treasures' our teacher bought (I ended up with an oversized mustard shirt and cropped sequin waistcoat).  We had swords and had a whole dance situated around sword fighting.  Not the glamour I hoped for!  Anyway, it was my birthday at the time and my childhood school friend bought me a teddy bear with a red bow around it's neck and I named it Clara, after the main character in The Nutcracker.  I still have Clara, for about 20 years, I couldn't sleep without her, she went everywhere with me, even just overnight stays.

Shoes: Irregular Choice Fantastic Fawn 

Hello! Haven't had a Shoesday post in a long time (April actually)!  If you follow my Instagram or have seen my posts on Pink Haired Princess, you'll know I fell instantly in love with the most recent Irregular Choice collection.  It was called Family Reunion and was basically a bunch of the oldest character heels remade in completely different uppers with some of the heels updated in new ways too.  So, I thought I'd work my way through my haul with fit reviews, starting with my most favourite pair (yep, I've mentally ranked them), Fantastic Fawn. 

Day 1148 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes:  Irregular Choice Zodiac

The second I saw these boots online, it was a "need" moment for me.  I hadn't bought any of the planet boots earlier in the year that are similarly shaped.  I'd been slightly put off by the lower heel and they just didn't excite-excite me, but whenever I saw these, I was glad I waited as they are much more me.  Yeah they have that same lower end of 'high' block heel, but hey if you throw rainbow fur and glitter at it, I can overlook that!  Although I was desperate for them, I had no money, so kept an eye on them, then panicked when they only had one pair left in my size.  My Mum loved them too, so was willing to lend me money in the meantime (always a bonus if she likes them)! 

Day 1137 - Dust Yourself Off And Try Again

I felt like sneaking in an extra (outfit) post for you this week. This look was from the beginning of July, one of those really hot days we had during summer, which all seems like a distant memory now huh? I was meeting my three Uni flatmates in Edinburgh for a little reunion as it'll soon be 20 years since we first met. I honestly can't believe that. I do feel like a long time has passed since I was school, maybe not 20 years though, but since meeting the girls? It really doesn't feel that long. I have to remember I've been ill for 16 years since then though, so I suppose it does add up. 

Day 1125 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Muppets pink All About Moi 

Hi gang! Ugh, what a day, I'm shattered. I showered, tidied (which was totally impulsive, but I'm pleased with what I did, though I suspect I'll be unable to find anything now), packaged up a massive parcel of stuff that had to be returned and now my lower back is in agony and my hips and legs are done-in too! I really wanted to get this post out though because it's my final Muppets shoes, sob! Can't believe I've been through my 4 pairs already (hit the Muppets tag below to see the others). My sister is giving me these for Christmas, but let me take blog photos, though I don't want to properly wear them beforehand. It feels like cheating, so I'm hiding them away now. I'm also apologising in advance for the funny lighting, I tried to fix it as best I could, but the sun was going down when I took these last week and they all had a weird, warm glow to them (which I didn't realise until it came to editing them and I'm way too knackered to retake them).

Shoes: Irregular Choice Muppets Original Diva 

Oh my goodness, I am so in love with this combination! I haven't bought any of the patterned tights IC have made before, mostly because I was too fat for them, but whenever I laid eyes on the Muppets ones on launch day, I had to try them (and hoped they would fit now). It's a lot more than I'd normally pay for tights, but these are very, very good quality.

Hello, Shoesday Tuesday on...Wednesday!! I am so tired right now that I can't keep my eyes open-I keep falling asleep during the day, which isn't normal for me. I feel like someone has just drained me and I'm struggling to find the motivation to blog, when it's hard enough keeping my eyes open, y'know? I was really excited about these shoes though, so wanted to blog about them (especially as they are back in stock), even if it is a day late.

Shoesday Tuesday on a Wednesday, what's happening? Well I had a lot going on yesterday and though I seemed to tick many things off my to-do list, I still found myself writing this post at midnight, while checking my emails and catching up on Person Of Interest from the night before. I'd been up early and I decided it was silly, so shut the laptop, switched off the TV and went to bed. I do apologise that it's a day late.

Hello my lovelies, how are you all this week? I decided pastel colours, cutesy bunnies and sparkle overload were needed this week, so meet Toffee Splatter by Irregular Choice (I can only find the black version in stock from letsbuyshoes). Yeah, not for the faint hearted!

Day 950 - Summer Turned To Winter And The Snow It Turned To Rain

Shoes: Lilac floral frill wedges Irregular Choice 

Ok, so here's the other dress I bought with my Ariel one...My Little Pony!!!! "Skinny and bony, made out of plastic, life is fantastic", sorry is it only me that still sings that, like 25 years on?! How freakin' fabulous is this dress anyway? I've drooled over the MLP stuff on Truffle Shuffle especially the dresses, but they only do small sizes and I knew they wouldn't fit. Then I stumble upon this one on Hot Topic and it's actually in a nice floaty fabric and a style I'd totally wear!! My only complaint is the square neckline is rather low once you've got it on (and especially when you're above your ample bosoms, looking down), so I added a little vest top underneath, which I needed for warmth anyway (wow when did winter hit)? I decided I may as well go all-out on girly stuff, although I did add some black leggings and a cardi, so I wasn't too twee! We went shopping this day (Wednesday) and I actually had an awesome time for once, probably because I hit the beauty counters and got spoiled (well I paid for it, so I spoiled myself) and I also got the flowery Primark dress I was after. So I can breathe until the next one comes out and I have to track that down!
