Day 935 - You Got Me All Twisted And Confused

Shoes: Beige pom pom 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

I can't quite believe I'm typing 'Day 935', that's pretty epic and getting closer and closer to one thousand! It'll be such a milestone getting to that won't it? It's still a couple of months away, but I'm getting excited already. Anyway back to yesterday and it was a glorious day, warm and like summer again, so I was thrilled to be able to slip on this summery outfit. I fell head over heels in love with this vintage looking lamb print from Iron Fist. It adorns several of their items and upon a little investigation, I realised they had produced two dresses in it.  Eh mega excitement! The only place I could find them though, was an Australian retailer without an online shop. This was months ago and I tried to forget about the print, then a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon them again. The other issue was that I didn't think they would go up to my size, but although I had to pay more (the smaller sizes were more widely available), they fitted! I bought this maxi from an American seller on eBay and got a short dress from a UK seller. I also got a vest top with a huge lamb on the front and am thinking of picking up a pair of the shoes and the clutch bag when I have some more pennies. A little obsessive, but I really adore those lambs. Had the skinny jeans and hooded top they make been my style, I'd have bought them too!  If you look closely there are lots of different accessories (collars, harnesses, skulls and bows) on the lambs.  You can also see my Monster High Monday makeup for this look here on Pink Haired Princess.

Wearing: Lamby maxi dress Iron Fist (not where I purchased from, but the only one I could find in stock), slip Matalan, lace vest top (worn underneath) M&Co, green cardigan Primark.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 927 - She Looks Like A Model, Except She's Got A Little More Ass

Shoes: Lilac and green globe 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

There I was thinking I was pretty smart putting this dress with these shoes (and the cardi) and then I look back and find I wore the exact same thing in August last year! Silly me! I'm so excited that the weather is lovely again and it was properly warm today! I feel I haven't worn these shoes all that much during summer (because they were lost for some time) and wanted to wear it with a dress I could wear bare legged. I toyed with wearing a different dress and leggings and probably should have as it was rather gusty outside. This dress hits below the knee and I wore an underskirt, but still, I'm pretty sure I flashed once or twice! I was getting all flustered trying to hold everything down!

Wearing: Lilac spot midi dress Dorothy Perkins, leopard print cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, bunny hair bows Yama Yama Pretty Mama, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: True to size, 4 1/4" heel, adjustable slingback.
Comfort: Very comfy

Day 920 - Soon You Were Eating Off My Spoon

Shoes: Beige pom pom 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

It's taken me ages to wear this dress for various reasons. Firstly, I ordered it online (months ago) and they sent it folded, in a teeny plastic bag, so it was completely creased and unwearable. Before the wardrobe clear-out, I couldn't really justify ironing it just to shove it into the depths of the closet to be crushed some more. So it sat unloved and unworn. It's yellow. Like I don't really wear yellow nor think I suit it, so I wasn't quite sure how to style it/what to wear it with. Also it was slightly too tight on the bust, but having lost some weight, it fits better now. After ironing it a few weeks ago, I thought the navy pattern (bows and hearts) could be picked out, so I could wear it with a navy cardigan and possibly navy shoes. Then I remembered my Irregular Choice 'Prom Princess' yellow wedges. It turns out when I tried them today, they were a deeper, warmer yellow and looked kinda silly, so I went with neutral shoes. I haven't worn my pom poms much this season due to losing them in amongst shoe-mountain! I still don't think I suit yellow and it clashes with my hair now, but hey ho.  Can you see the cool streaky purple bits in my hair today? I finished my post on the hair dye I used (here) if you're interested.  The colour is really growing on me.

Day 917 - How Can I Love When I'm Afraid To Fall

Shoes: Amethyst globe 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

Bet you weren't expecting this as my next hair colour were you? I kinda feel like I've been transported back five years...it's really strange being pink again! Some of my newer readers may be wondering why I was ever called 'Pink Haired Princess' in the first place though! I'm not going into the details of the colour too much in this post (I'm preparing a full post for Pink Haired Princess), but you'll probably know I was banned from using Atomic Pink again after the staining issues, hence my revolving rainbow head of colours since then. This time it's a mix of pink and purple and it's a bit of an experiment, so I'll divulge all later. I am so impressed my boobs still fit this dress, as I recall it being rather tight in that region and it's been ages since I last wore it. Once I rescued all my summer clothes in the big clear-out, the weather got slightly miserable and I hardly left the house (!), so I was thankful of a nice day today (the tidy up hasn't been completely wasted then). Aren't these shoes just the perfect colour for my hair too?

Wearing: Parrot print maxi dress G21 at Asda, cardigan Primark.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size (narrow in the toe).
Comfort: No issues.

Day 907 - Let’s Go To The Beach, Each, Let’s Go Get Away

Shoes: Beige Lady Dragon Cherries Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

I've realised the heat doesn't agree with me! I've been forced to buy hayfever pills, as my Vaseline up the nose and cucumber on the eyes tricks were starting to fail. I already take a lot of medication, so hoped to treat it without more pills, but there's no point suffering right? Then I have this blotchy rash on my chest, which I've stopped itching, but it still looks terrible. My legs are joining in with the blotchy-ness and I've got two unexplained bruises on them and don't even get me started on my burning and parched face. That said, it's so lovely to not have that wet stuff falling out of the sky to worry about and actually getting a (maybe) whole season of summer. This dress is a little tricky to wear as the lining is much shorter. The dress would just be comfortable on me bare legged, but the fear of the lining exposing my booty at the slightest gust (and it's been rather breezy out there), meant I had to rethink this. I didn't want to wear it with leggings as it defeats the purpose of dressing for summer, so I added this little net skirt underneath. It's also lined, so gave me that little bit extra length and it wouldn't blow up in the wind, like the dress would.

Wearing: Blue polka dot tea dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, grey net skirt Primark, red belt gift, ice cream hair bows Yama Yama Pretty Mama.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 903 - Keep Partyin' Like It's Your Job

Shoes: Beige Lady Dragon Cherries Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

What up peeps? Yesterday wasn't quite as hot as it's been, but still a lovely day. This dress is one of those hard to style ones, that isn't bright blue but not navy and so pairing it with either, looks a little off. So I took the opportunity of not having to wear a coat or even cardigan...the leggings weren't a perfect match, but didn't clash too badly. I have to admit I always struggle with blues (and browns too), because wearing too much of those colours doesn't look right (you can't really pile blue on blue like you can with black) but not much else goes with them. Anyway, I love the little doggy print and it's a cute casual look. Oh and I totally need to wear scratch mitts in my bed! My neck and chest has been so itchy and while I'm sleeping I've been scratching it (you can see a weird lumpy/scratch on my throat), I'm blaming the heat!

Wearing: Scotty dog dress H By Henry Holland, vest and leggings Primark, flower hair clip ASOS, Minimal Baroque sunglasses Prada.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.
