Day 1144 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes:  I Give You...Dumbo! ankle boots, Irregular Choice Disney Dumbo

Hello! Feels nice, if a little strange, to get back into blogging after a week of doing nothing other than sleeping. I've been in so much pain lately and had another 48 hour migraine last week, which I quite honestly would've appreciated someone drilling a hole in my skull to release pressure, it hurt that much. Medication, sleep and rest did nothing to help, there was no escape and obviously blogging and the internet were the last things on my mind. I'm still trying to take it easy, thus this post has taken a little longer to write and I'm still a bit hesitant to get back into Instagram and Facebook. I also did a  bit of rearranging in the shoe room at the weekend, which nearly killed me, whilst sorting out some bits and pieces to sell on eBay (another thing I'm trying to get back into).  It's all been quite physically demanding and I'm pretty limited in that department these days. 

Day 616 - When The Rainy Days Are Dying

Shoes: Blue suede 'Audrina' Irregular Choice

I've totally neglected you recently...all weekend and Monday I was busy in the house and never got out at all.  Everyone was raving about the weather and I was getting a little frustrated missing out on it!  I eventually got out yesterday but ran out of time to write this post.  I've had loads of eBay things to do, attempted to tidy my room (yet again) putting away my winter shoes that have been sitting out (back into the Irregular Choice vault-no easy task I tell you!) and swapping them for a few summery ones, plus I re-did my hair because the yellow-ish roots were annoying me.  The colour is brighter lilac now and although I like it, I'm not as keen on it as the faded, pale greyish lilac from last week.  I'm sure it'll lighten after a few washes though.  As you can see below the colour looks completely different on my camera-phone than with the flash of the 'real camera'.

Wearing:  Navy striped dress Matalan, boat cardigan Peacocks, star ice-cream bows Yama Yama Pretty Mama.
Fit: I need a size up in these, the uppers cut very tightly across the foot, true to size in length though. 5" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 492 - Irregular Choice Special #19

Shoes: Blue and peach star 'Audrina' Irregular Choice

I'm blogging a day behind but will hopefully manage to catch up tomorrow. I had an appointment at the optician today and my nephews came out this morning, so this is the first time I've sat down. My photos from yesterday are pretty crap though, I've just realised, oops! There are none of the actual dress or the belt I was wearing, so I've adapted some from last time I wore this dress! It was another lovely day on Sunday and this week is supposed to be glorious (aside from Tuesday). In typical Scottish/UK style though, they are anticipating snow for October. Oh yeah, shorts one minute, gloves the next! About these shoes...they are lovely, but I much prefer their sister style 'Whitney' for comfort and sizing. I always have to buy a size larger in Audrina because the vamp comes far up the foot and really cuts into my skin. Actually this pair aren't as bad as my suede versions and I had to sell the orange suede pair because they were far too painful to wear. Strange when they're all the same style, but there you go!

Wearing: Coral lace dress G21 at Asda, brown belt taken from dress (Primark), cream pearl cardigan Dorothy Perkins.

Fit: See above, take a size up. Heel 5".

Comfort: Aside from the tightness across the foot, they are fine.

Day Three Hundred & Twenty Six - Burnin' Up

Shoes: Orange suede Audrina platforms Irregular Choice

An image of a never before seen pair on TSGD today-my new orange platforms. I was always quite keen on this shade, but it sold out quickly at the time. I already own the star print and blue suede pairs, but finally snagged this shade. The colour was slightly different than I expected, a deep, burnt gold orange. I just wish they fit better...

Wearing: No outfit post today-the tights are House of Holland though.
Fit: I knew to order a size up as the vamp comes too far up the foot in my opinion but it's still very tight (even with the bigger size), length is probably true to size though. 5" heel and 1 1/4" double platform.
Comfort: Gah I hope these stretch a little-I don't remember my other pairs being quite so tight. Easy to walk in.

Day Three Hundred & Twenty One - Still In Love

Shoes: Green floral 'Once in Love' wedges with pink suede trim Irregular Choice

Now for yesterdays shoes and wait for it, these are never before seen on TSGD! I ordered two new pairs of IC's last week and was so disappointed when this pair didn't fit. They are really tight, I can just get my foot in, but it's painful! It was kind of to be expected...they are similar in shape to my 'Dance The Night Away' and I had to take a bigger size in them. Oddly though my Prom Princess fit and they are my regular size-just the woes of Irregular Choice sizing unfortunately. This was the only pair they had left in any size, so I can't even order a size up. I've been wanting these shoes all season and I seem doomed when it comes to rosette styles in this fabric (remember the farce with the Schuh pair months ago?) I'm selling these on ebay if you are interested, I thought it was easier than sending them back.

Wearing: No outfit post today.
Fit: You'll probably need to order a size larger than usual. Amazing wooden layered wedge heel approx. 4 1/2"
Comfort: I can't really comment considering I took them off straight after these images and they don't fit properly!

Day Three Hundred & Seventeen - Tuesday 7th Sept

Shoes: Purple 'Filly' peep toes Shoemissy

Another pair that I'm selling on ebay. I'm trying to be very ruthless because there just literally isn't any more room for shoes in my bedroom, it's overflowing! Of course every time I get rid of a pile, I seem to have a buying surge and replace them all! I'm waiting on a pair of Irregular Choice boots being delivered today actually (there really is no hope for me!).

Fit: Run a little small. 4 1/4" heel and small platform.
Comfort: If they were a half size larger they would be much more comfortable.

Day Two Hundred & Ninety Four - Slow Mo

Shoes: Tartan 'Filly' blue peep toes Shoemissy

I'm having a slow day...just not getting anything done very quickly! I thought it looked very wintery outside (and dressed accordingly), but actually it wasn't too bad once I was out in it-silly me.

Wearing: Navy bird print dress Pearl Lowe for Peacocks, green tights Accessorize and cream, pearl cardi Dorothy Perkins.
Fit: 1/2" platform and 4 1/4" heel. I find these a little too small-a half size bigger would be the ideal.
Comfort: Other than the fact they feel a little small at the back of the heel, they are pretty comfy and there are no issues with walking in them.

Day Two Hundred & Eighty - Starman

Had a pretty successful shopping trip for all the presents I needed and surprisingly didn't buy anything for myself (patting myself on the back!). I came home with a floral bucket that I filled with colourful kitchen utensils, a floral dustpan and brush and matching washing up gloves, 3 aprons that you would actually want to wear as dresses and oven gloves covered in shoes and handbags! I'm afraid all my wedding presents are very girly based, but hey it's what I do best. Very glam pop platforms today-I actually need a bigger size in these because the vamp comes quite far up the foot and is rather tight across the foot (it looks really tight here, but it's just after a long day and the angle I think). The actual inside length of the shoe would've been fine in a size 5 though. They have a lovely stitching detail and contrast striped section. The peep toe is tiny, so you don't actually see your toes.

Day Two Hundred & Fifty Four - Frilly Filly

I bought another couple of pairs of Shoemissy peep toes last week. I didn't really *need* them, but Spoiled Brat are clearing their stock to make way for autumn arrivals and these shoes had 80% off, plus another 30% off (with the code SUMMER30 valid until midnight tonight), so they cost £7.53! Ridiculous and I couldn't not! I was a bit disappointed that the newer styles (ankle boots and sequin heels) had sold out of my size because I've had my eye on them for months. There are still some sizes left of around 8 styles, mostly smaller or bigger sizes. I recommend the beautiful pink Bucks Fizz which I wore on Day 225, they're gorgeous.

Day Two Hundred & Forty Nine - Dance The Night Away

A little bit of a slow start to the day, due to some technical problems. At first the computer mouse wouldn't work, then the keyboard. Thankfully, we had a brand new spare keyboard so I tried that and after a bit of fiddling around, everything is fixed, phew! These shoes are incredibly small made and I would say you have to definitely take a bigger size even if you aren't usually between sizes. It's surprising as my Prom Princess pair from Day 59 are a similar shape, yet my normal size fits perfectly. Naturally I have my eye on Once In Love from the Irregular Choice store, the updated equivalent of these.

Day Two Hundred & Twenty One - Oops, My Mistake!

Today I've done the unthinkable...for the first time in 220 posts, I've accidentally worn a pair of shoes twice. I had a sneaking suspicion that I'd worn them before, but then convinced myself it had just been a similar pair. I could've lied to you and photographed another pair and pretended that I hadn't made the error, but I thought I'd come clean..plus I couldn't be bothered finding another pair and changing and taking photos because I am just so tired! To be honest I've been a little exhausted with the blog recently. I suppose it's understandable after so long, I just feel I'd like to wear what I want without having to search for the 'unworn pairs' and think up an outfit around them. However in saying that, there's only another 40+ pairs to wear and most of them are absolutely gorgeous, so what am I complaining about!

Day Two Hundred & Thirteen - Starlet

I haven't seen my nephews for a few weeks and they came around this morning, so cute! One has grown and the other appears to have shrunk, he'll always be my little baby : ) I'm now running half a day behind though, I only got properly dressed half an hour ago! Lovely sunny day, so wearing a bright floral sundress, pink sunglasses and these pretty peep toes.
