Day 503 - Irregular Choice Special #30

Shoes: Green floral 'Bonnie Bonnett' Irregular Choice

No sooner did I say I was content with using my camera phone for now, then I go and take these awful photos and realise I need a decent camera! I was just out of the shower and am sooo tired today and when I'm tired my hands shake, so that's my excuse ; / Well it's the last day of Irregular Choice Month, awww. I've really enjoyed it, I feel it's re-energised the blog and my enthusiasm for it. I've also loved getting to see your shoes too-I'm considering how I could work it into a permanent feature if you'd find that interesting? A massive thank you to everyone who participated.

Wearing: Flower-pot dress Dorothy Perkins, black leggings Primark.
Fit: True to size, almost 4" clear heel.
Comfort: I didn't actually go anywhere so couldn't comment yet!

Day 502 - Irregular Choice Special #29

Shoes: Floral 'Kim Oh No' Irregular Choice

A bit of a nicer day today, sunny at least, but still quite cold. I must have changed my outfit a hundred times today, trying to get it right. The dress looked terrible, then my tights ripped, I changed my mind about the shoes and then in the end I picked this dress without even thinking of which shoes to wear with it! Turns out my Kim Oh No's looked alright though!

Wearing: Blue butterfly dress Dorothy Perkins, black top worn underneath, black leggings, cardigan and cameo headscarf all Primark.
Fit: True to size, just over 1" platform and 5" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Irregular Choice Special: Your IC's Week 3

Ok, so this has partly been my fault as I've been a little stretched for time over the past couple of weeks and haven't really advertised that I needed more of your shoe pics. However Char sent images a couple of weeks ago and again last week along with Veronika and rather than make separate posts, I've just put them together here. Seeing as I'm keeping up the IC challenge until this weekend, there's going to be one last chance for you to take pics wearing your IC's and how about I put the post up on Sunday instead of Friday? Seeing as I haven't given you much notice. I'd love to get as many people in the post as I can, so send them in...details on how to do so by clicking the banner above.

I'm pretty cold just looking at these outfits-I can't believe I was sweltering last week and now it's freezing! First up Char of T*Rexes and Tiaras in her ribbon 'Disco Heaven' courts
blue spotty Diplo Betty wedges
and the pretty swan paisley shoes.
Veronika of MsVeve wore her bright lime Scottie Dog courts which I keep meaning to buy.
Looking lovely as always, thanks girls!

Day 501 - Irregular Choice Special #28

Shoes: Brown fringed 'Saturn' Irregular Choice

Oh what a horrible day, it's proper winter! I decided to get ready to go out just as the weather turned nasty, cue torrential rain and strong winds. I was considering just staying in my jammies, but then it cleared up a little so I did get out, although it was still bitterly cold. Every time I wear this dress I say it's too big, so you'd think I would get rid of it, but I kinda like it and it's really comfortable to wear. It looks better with a belt although it has this strange ruched section around the waist, which just adds unnecessary bulk and looks tupid with a belt over the top, you can see it bulging in the photos below (and that's not the size of my stomach in the 1st outfit pic, it's the dress hanging!). Shoes are lovely, very comfortable, don't really get to wear them enough as they are quite hard to style.

Wearing: Purple, pink and olive dress ASOS Curve, brown pleated belt (taken from a dress) Primark, brown floral tights gift, top worn underneath dress, cardi and zebra head scarf all Primark.
Fit: Run slightly large (not enough to go down a size), 4 1/4" heel and small concealed platform.
Comfort: Very comfy and easy to walk in.

Day 500 - Irregular Choice Special #27

Shoes: Teal suede 'Graphic Geek' Irregular Choice

Wowee, I didn't realise it was Day 500 today or else I would've celebrated with a super special pair of shoes! I'm getting the hang of using my phone to take photos, even managed a couple of face pics today. I haven't worn this dress for at least a year because it's usually rather tight, but as I've lost some weight recently, it feels much more comfortable. Hands up who loves that adorable cat print!

Wearing: Cat print shift dress Limited Edition at New Look (old), black leggings, cardigan and scarf Primark.
Fit: I always size up on split toe styles and it usually takes a few attempts to get your toes all comfortable and in the right position. Heel just under 4".
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 499 - Irregular Choice Special #26

Shoes: Black spotty 'Mo Money Mo Heel' Irregular Choice

I'm here, hello! I didn't want to leave you completely post-less after my camera broke and I forgot I had my trusty 2mp camera phone to help out-"quality" as the neds say! Turns out the best picture I took (above) has my finger mid-way across the lens, it's going to take practise to get used to the open phone, strange angle, lens in the corner thing (and trying to press a button on the other side) when I'm so familiar with my real camera for this. Anyway, the quality is pretty crap, but you get to see my outfit and more importantly the shoes, so it'll work for now and for some reason it's much easier and quicker to edit these pics than the 'real' ones which seem to require more touching up! Plus I can take 'in-mirror' outfit shots that I can't with my camera because it either reflects the flash or is too dark or shaky without (and you get to see my messy room in the background, haha). After spending an entire mind-boggling morning researching digital cameras, I think I've got a couple of possibilities, so hopefully I'll scrape together some money for one soon.

Wearing: Black and white polka dot peter pan dress New Look, cardigan (not seen) and black leggings Primark.
Fit: Run a little large, platform just over 2", heel just under 6". I personally never have to adjust the buckles to get them on and off.
Comfort: Due to the weight they slip off the heel when walking which can impact your flow until you get into a routine, they also rock (like clogs) which is strange to begin with.

Day 498 - Irregular Choice Special #25

Shoes: Black 'So-Yeon Sarah' London College of Fashion and Irregular Choice

Ok, so first of all these totally weren't going to be the shoes I wore today, but unfortunately it's been raining on and off and although I was all dressed, I didn't fancy going out in it. Which gave me the opportunity to wear a pair I haven't been able to wear outside yet. You may recall it was a rather big decision for me to purchase these shoes, I would love to say I have no regrets and initially I didn't, but now I have to be completely honest, because I always am here. I was sent the wrong colour of one of the attachments, no major biggy although the first time I unclipped it from the card it came on, a charm broke off. That was annoying. Furthermore the leg spatz do not fit me and I can't say the puffy ankle rings one looks that great on me either. Ok, so my legs aren't the slimmest, but they aren't the biggest either. Most of all, what has certainly disappointed me is they are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever tried on. They are hard, they dig into my heel (you're literally left with a line across the back of your heel after 2 seconds) and I find it almost impossible to take any steps because of the pain. Today was the longest I've ever suffered them for (around 2 minutes) as I just can't bring myself to go through that every day. Unfortunately for me, it's what I'm going to have to do. I love the shoes, the design is great, they look good and I don't want to take away from the initial euphoria I felt when I bought them. I don't want to be completely negative about them, but I do wish I'd been able to try them first and with hindsight I probably should've sent them back but the logistics of that seemed too complicated at the time. On a brighter note, hopefully if I do continue to suffer them, they'll get more bearable. So, we'll have to see and hope because it's a helluva money to go down the drain and I really don't think I'd get anywhere near the retail price if I eBayed them. Finally, this may very well be the last post for a while because my camera has just broken after taking these pics. I cannot get the lens to fully extend when I turn the camera on (it just makes a beeping noise and closes again). From what I've read online I'm going to have to get a new camera : ( Oh and I also have a Simon Cowell droopy eye thing going on today in the photo below...not through repeated botox/eye lift surgery though, may just be dodgy eyeliner!

Wearing: Pink gingham sun-dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black leggings and cardi Primark.
Fit: Run a little small. 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: You're kidding right?
