Day 1088 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice gracious dreamer shoes
Shoes: Irregular Choice Gracious Dreamer

Hello, I have my second pair of Cinderella shoes for you today and quite a lot to discuss. So before I start, I have to say these are not my preferred choice of colour, I only bought these when my silver 5's turned up and were too big for me, but I figured I might as well photograph them for you. The silver had since sold out and so instead I bought the size down in the gold, just to see if they'd fit and if so, I'd have to keep searching for the silver in the size down. Let it be said, this is the first time I've ever worn size 4 in Irregular Choice (and I can only think of one other pair of shoes in my adult life from any brand, that were a 4) so this is unheard of for me really. The 5's are massive all over. I can almost get my whole finger down the back at the heel and my Mum claims her entire hand can fit in the front! The vamp is low cut and scalloped, which kind of adds to the gaping to be honest. The shoe is also very hard and covered in glitter, so not the most pliable (?) or fluid with your foot (almost works against my foot shape), so there is considerable gaping all around the shoe.

Day 810 - Tonight I'm Not Takin' No Calls, 'Cause I'll Be Dancin'

Shoes: Pewter 'Lulu' Terry de Havilland

I took the last couple of days as 'jammie days', to catch up on work that needed doing. Plus I got tired of getting dressed, only to find it rained for the rest of the day and I didn't make it out at all, as that's happened too much recently! As good as it's been to concentrate on Pink Haired Princess this week, it's nice to be back here as I miss getting to do my outfit posts. We actually had sunshine today, like that big ol' yellow thing in the sky? It was pretty momentous as I've almost forgotten what daylight is. It was still cold, but I thought I'd celebrate slightly with peep-toes, albeit with tights. I love this dress, have worn it loads and I love that it's so versatile and I've worn it tonnes of different ways already.

Wearing: Grey leopard print shift dress and purple tights Primark, belt Dorothy Perkins.
Fit: Narrow fitting. 5 1/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: No problems with these.

Day 528 - Make A Choice

Shoes: 'You're A Star' Irregular Choice

Another outfit from last week and the final nail in the coffin for my hair. It's not been sitting right lately and I'm not sure why, I've also become incredibly bored of it in general. I can't even put my finger on it, whether it's the style or colour but usually when I get like this, I do something rash like completely change the colour or chop loads of. It was the latter that happened at the weekend. Given that I still have a couple of tubs of Atomic Turquoise left, it looks like I'm staying with this colour for a while, so I asked Mum to cut loads off. Unfortunately that means goodbye to the majority of purple on the ends, but it's refreshed me slightly. Still not entirely convinced this is enough of a change but it's certainly a lot shorter and will suffice for now. This dress I haven't worn before, but I found it's rather generously sized and I definitely needed a belt to pull in the waist (even if the waist is elasticated), looks like my little bit of weight loss recently has finally become apparent.

Wearing: H by Henry Holland at Debenhams polka dot dress, swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, tan belt (off my black/red dog print dress) H by Henry Holland, grey knitted tights Primark.
Fit: True in length but quite tight across the foot (a couple of hours wear with really thick socks sorted that out). Heel almost 4". Come with detachable shoe clips-I wore the bows, to the side.
Comfort: My only concern is the shoe clips can dig in depending on where you wear them, I initially had the bows on the centre front, but found them too uncomfortable as there isn't much room and the metal clip jags into your skin.

Day Four Hundred & Forty - Bright Times

Shoes: Pink and purple suedette platforms E-Vie at Peacocks

I still have a pair of shoes to show you from last Saturday and Monday and other than that I haven't been outdoors all week. With the bad weather it doesn't seem sensible to get dressed just to go out and get soaked for 5 minutes! Plus it's been manic here with one thing and another. So, I thought I'd fill in the gaps with some shoes I'm selling on eBay this weekend-a kind of goodbye to them because we may not see them here again if they sell!

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: True to size, elasticated sections either side to help get them on. Heel 4 1/2" with 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Really comfortable and steady base to walk on.

Day Three Hundred & Seventy One - Down & Out

Shoes: Bronze 'Sugar' ankle boots Irregular Choice

You've seen these boots a few days ago but they're from my 'Irregular Choice shoe closet' (I converted one of my wardrobes years ago) and at the moment it's near impossible to get near it never mind open the doors! So I gingerly moved all the crap in front of it last week (including roughly 20 boxes of new shoes) and grabbed 2 pairs of boots out of it. Of course, now I can't get them back in! So I decided after all my hard work, I could do something a little different with them today, especially as IC boots are as pretty inside as out (antique look with purple metallic patterns). I don't quite think I can pull off that, 'look at my slouchy boots in a casual way' look, I'm always a little too 'done' for that, so this is probably as casual as I could go! I ended up just with the tongues folded down and the sides up when I went out walking because I was going to trip over them!

Wearing: Blush and black sheer floral dress ASOS Curve with black long sleeved top and leggings underneath.
Fit: Just over 4 1/4" heel and small concealed platform. True to size, button holes and hook fastenings (worn only laced in the buttonholes).
Comfort: Very padded underfoot. I also rectified that issue with the heel that was rubbing by wearing little lace socks underneath.

Day Three Hundred & Sixty Six - Soup Lunch

Shoes: Bronze 'Sugar' boots Irregular Choice

I attended a charity soup lunch with my Mama today. I'm absolutely knackered from doing so much walking this week, although it was good to get out. I was in the wars before I left the house, I lost a battle with some shoe boxes, cue avalanche! Then I lost my balance and stood barefoot on the sharp corner of a boot heel that was lying on the floor. Ouch! Really must try and bring some order to my room this weekend.

Wearing: Primark pastel floral button through dress, black leggings and long sleeved top, black coat etc. Lipstick necklace Anna Lou of London, fox ring and snake pearl ring Miss Selfridge, bunny ears ring Topshop.
Fit: Just over 4 1/4" heel and small concealed platform. True to size, button holes and hook fastenings.
Comfort: These are so padded underfoot, it's great. I did find one boot rubbed my heel though.

Day Three Hundred & Seven - Perk Up

Shoes: Bronze 'Lacey' lace-up platforms Faith

Loving this last little burst of summer weather we're getting today. August has been very disappointing and this past week has been especially cold and dark. I'm trying to get as much wear out of this dress before it completely turns to autumn; because it's so light, it's not the type of dress that will translate well in colder weather. I've also put up more pictures of todays gorgeous shoes on my facebook page!
Wearing: Parrot maxi dress G21 at Asda, black cardi and River Island necklace.
Fit: True to size, 5 1/2" heel with 1 1/2" double platform.
Comfort: They aren't too difficult to get on, but it takes a while to get them off! I thought they were comfortable until I realised in the 5 minutes I had them on, they rubbed the skin off the back of my leg-ouch! I think it's because in order to get them looking right from the front, you have to tie them quite tightly and then it's a struggle to bend your ankles when tackling stairs. Other than that, they have a nice cushioned insole and are easy to walk in.

Day One Hundred & Sixty Six - The Clash

I don't know what's wrong with me today. I woke up fine, but have slumped into a depression as the day progressed. I just can't be bothered doing anything, so I tried to force myself to do it, then got annoyed because I wasn't making any progress! Aagh! Mum made some Rocky Road today though, so hopefully that'll cheer me up. I could honestly give up all other foods and meals to solely eat Mums RR, it's amazing.

Day One Hundred & Fifty Five - Pass The Saucer

I haven't spoken about the boy-facebook saga for a while...let's just say it's still ongoing and he clearly can't take a hint. Mum reckons no boy can, so I'll have to be a little more direct! I'd gone out with one of my oldest school friends the other night and we were in stitches talking about this situation and the fact that it's only boys you aren't interested in that become obsessed with you. There seems to be no middle ground though, they are either fascinated with me or totally don't 'get me'. I won't even get started on the postman who started stalking me, oh dear!

Day One Hundred & Forty Five - Sugar, Sugar!

A miserable day, weather wise (again!), but I'm in good spirits, having just spent nearly £60 on two lipglosses and a cleanser at Lancome. I was absolutely in my element, covered in sparkles! Update on the boy-facebook situation, I hope he hasn't found this blog, because he sent me another reply saying he hoped he hadn't put me on the spot...do you think this is because I had logged into facebook without replying to the 2 emails he sent? I had convinced myself I was overreacting, but if he's checking when I log onto facebook??? Beautiful boots today that got many admiring glances.

Day One Hundred & Thirty One - Looks Can Be Deceiving

A beautiful sunny day today, but freezing once you're outside. I decided to go with the weather and wear a more summery shoe but team it with lacy socks for a little bit of warmth. These shoes look incredibly high, but actually your foot feels very flat in them, I suppose the large platform reduces the heel height.

Day One Hundred & Nineteen - Got It All Going On

Can't believe how fast we are speeding through these shoes now. Just seems like yesterday that I was making my 100th post. Very proud of myself for going shopping today and buying nothing for myself. I only went to TK Maxx and Matalan and they were both rubbish! I consoled myself with ordering some animal themed jewellery from ASOS when I got home. Had a change of shoes today to something more durable because I was wearing a suede pair and thought it was going to rain (my toes were freezing though). A lot going on with these shoes, metallic platform and heel, peep toe, slingback, zip, buckles and straps and laces. I really love them though.

Day One Hundred & Fifteen - Another Planet

Another dreich day, but I managed out for a quick walk and instantly felt like I was back in high school. I was wearing this huge furry hat and knitted cape and all the school kids were coming back from lunch and decided to poke fun and laugh at me all the way along the street. Eugh, I'm so glad I don't ever have to go through all that again. I hate people who can't accept others who are a little different to them. Anyway, that put a little downer on my day! Wearing gorgeous shoes though which fit perfectly (quite a hard task when it comes to IC).

Day Eighty Six - Towering High

I adore these shoes. They are unbelievably huge and almost make me supermodel tall! My doctor even remarked that they were 'real statement shoes'! It was slightly warmer today and for once didn't rain, so I thought I should take advantage with the open front, toeless gladiator style. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Day Eighty - Vintage Fan

The design on these shoes is wonderful. The fan shape across the heel is the type of detail you would expect to see on vintage shoes while the stitching is very art-deco inspired. Similar in shape to my Candyfloss shoes, they have an angular heel and this squared off, block toe. One of the more wearable styles over the years, for those afraid of the IC craziness!

Day Forty Seven - When The Stars Didn't Shine

So my Mum and sister were looking forward to spending the day with the lovely Ronan Keating and Aidan Quinn, but it wasn't to be. Why would they be mixing with a Hollywood actor and boyband singer you may ask? Well, every year a host of celebs invade our wee town to play golf in the Dunhill Cup. My Mum adores Aidan (added bonus that he's in our fave show ever 'Third Watch') and both love Ronan-so they were going to follow them around the course for the day (it just so happened both stars were playing together, perfect!). Unfortunately the wind really picked up last night (gale force!) and it was postponed at the last minute. Mum is going on holiday tomorrow, so she's really disappointed that she's missed them, but my sister will go (as she does every year) to watch.

I'm really in two minds about the shoes today. They feature this gorgeous little Blythe image, a polished wood wedge heel and even have the word 'Blythe' stitched around the back. However the platform wedge makes my foot very flat and I can't really walk in flat shoes, I like having height, so I'm thinking about selling them. They are so special and unique though that I'm having second thoughts. However I must admit that I haven't found the perfect outfit for them yet (hence why they've gone unworn) and doubt I will, so I think my mind is made up.
