Day 1004 - Shoesday Tuesday

Wearing Irregular Choice Lucky Lady pewter boots
Shoes: Silver 'Lucky Lady' Irregular Choice

With all the limited editions and 'character heel' releases these days, I rarely get to buy from the main Irregular Choice range (lack of money and space).  However, that doesn't mean I don't see anything I like, quite the opposite!  This season I had my eye on a few pairs of boots, which I always see as good investment pieces.  Winter feels like such a long period, that anything I wear during it will be well worn.  With IC not necessarily being 'trend' led pieces, I have boots from years ago that don't look out of place now, so whatever I buy will last a long time too.  I took advantage of a recent discount code then, to buy these Lucky Lady boots.

Day 965 - I See The Way He Makes You Smile

Shoes: Pewter glitter 'Gosford' Topshop

Quick post today of my outfit from yesterday. I went shopping for Christmas gifts after stressing about not being organised. Last time I was in a shop was October, long before Christmas was in my head! Plus I didn't expect other things to crop up every week, getting in the way of Christmas shopping. Anyway, I only have a couple more presents to get, but can't see me making it out of the house again before Christmas, so it'll have to be down to someone else to get for me. It really sucks being unable to just pop out to the shops when you feel like it-although I'm sure able-bodied people struggle due to work and having an actual life! Anyway, needless to say I'm wrecked today after carting home half a toy store! There wasn't much time for photos before leaving and it's getting dark scary-early now, but I managed to get decent enough shots of my outfit. I know I'm killing everyone with this dress, because it's really hard to find, but it's sooo ridiculously comfortable to wear and for the amount I paid, I'm going to wear it lots! I always feel like I have to hold the skirt out, so you can properly see Ariel (second full length shot)!

Wearing: Little Mermaid Ariel dress Hot Topic, leggings Primark, swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, Ariel and seahorse rings (taken from a set) H&M kids, turquoise ring my Grannys, pearl ring gift, flower midi ring Matalan.
Fit: True to size. Heel 4 3/4" and small concealed platform.
Comfort: Didn't have any issues with these.

Day 916 - You Change Your Mind, Like A Girl Changes Clothes

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

As you can probably tell, lunch with my friend last week took it's toll. I haven't been out of the house since. It's a bit frustrating, but my health is just a mess right now and I have to roll with it. However I did manage to get out today as our town is host to a street fair for a few days, with market stalls and funfair rides taking over the town centre (these huge rides are plonked smack bang in the middle of the road between all the old buildings, with the streets closed to traffic). It's one of the oldest markets of it's kind in Europe dating back to medieval times. When I was little it was this amazing big event that signified the end of the school holidays, but it's kinda lost it's magic now. Anyway, history lesson over, although I didn't totally feel up to it, I haven't been for years and rather than wait yet another year (it's the last day today), we popped down for a wee nosey. It's quite hard for me to get to when in the wheelchair, cobbled streets, lots of people and obstacles do not mix. It was dry though (Mum got soaked taking my nephews yesterday) so I got up and dressed quickly. I'm wearing the same shoes I wore in the last post, purely because they were still sitting out! Despite only being out for an hour, I'm already hardly able to move, so I doubt I'll get out much this week either. However, my hair is straight today in preparation for me colouring it (much to the amusement of my sister this morning, who laughed at my pathetic, wispy, flat hair-although I did manage a wee beehive as you can see), so hopefully I'll get that done this week. I'm quite excited as it's been so bleugh lately and a colour refresh always makes me feel better.

Wearing: Red floral dress H By Henry Holland, black leggings and green cardigan Primark, Fafi scarf MAC, earrings Mawi.
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 915 - I Promise I'm Not Trying To Make Your Life Harder

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

At very short notice, my old friend from Uni announced that she was coming to visit. I haven't seen her in at least 10 years, although we keep in touch via Facebook and with cards and presents on birthdays, Christmas etc, so I was really excited that she was able to come and see me. I can remember her being one of the first people (outside of the girls on my floor at the Halls) that I met and luckily it turned out she was in my class (nobody else on my floor was, which may not sound strange to some, but our Uni was very small and the rest of the girls were split between two courses and already had buddies to start the first day with and I was stressing that I knew nobody!).  Before I'd even properly spoken to her, I knew we'd be friends and she became my closest classmate.  I didn't have the bond with her that I had with my flatmates (we were like sisters), but we share a lot of interests and tastes, so she's always been really easy to get along with and yesterday was no different.   I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day (we went out for a very long lunch) as we talked constantly and she's slightly mental (always has been) and giggles almost non-stop, which can be annoying and yet contagious! I haven't laughed so much in years, my face actually hurt!  I'm paying for it today (and last night) with headaches and pain all over, but sometimes you just have to push yourself, if it's a one-off thing and it meant I got to feel a little 'normal' for the day.

Wearing: Floral dress Dorothy Perkins, grey leopard print cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, brooch Primark, pony ring, bracelet and pearl ring gifts, turquoise ring my Granny's, orchid hair clips ASOS, Minimal Baroque sunglasses (not shown) Prada, pink floral Charming bag Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 900 - But You Didn't Know All The Ways I Loved You

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

I'd noted last week that I was nearing my 900th post, but then today I completely forgot about it! I was wrecked after shopping yesterday, but today was too beautiful to stay indoors. We popped out in the afternoon for a wee wander and thankfully there was an (albeit warm) breeze, because it was super warm. Well as warm as I can cope with (just over 26). I hate when it's so hot and you feel like you're actually sizzling and frying. This guy I know is in Dubai and it was 44 there! I honestly think I'd just shrivel up and die in that heat! Anyway back to my 900th day of shoe-blogging and these were my first or one of my first ever designer pairs. I love them just as much now as I did then. I also love the dress, although it's the hardest thing to keep crease-free!

Wearing: Floral maxi dress ASOS Curve and lily hair clip ASOS, green beaded cardigan Primark, Minimal Baroque sunglasses Prada (not shown).
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 889 - Hi, I Got A Little Place Nearby, Wanna Go?

Shoes: Black 'So-Yeon Sarah' London College of Fashion and Irregular Choice

I had to wear a coat today : ( What's happened to the nice weather? It was properly cold (even although the temperature said otherwise) and it's been so dull. Anyway I was planning on wearing more summer-like shoes, but spied these and thought it had been a while since I last wore them. I popped in some thin insoles as they are slightly too big when I'm walking in them, but my regular size were too small. They kinda rubbed on one heel and not the other, so they still need some breaking in. Anyway, I'm hoping my summer shoes and dresses are going to get an airing again before autumn sets in!

Wearing: Plant pot dress Dorothy Perkins, black leggings, vest top and cardigan all Primark, bow gift.
Fit: Run a little small, these are a full size up. 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: A hard shoes that needs breaking in.
