Day 758 - Sometimes In My Tears I Drown

Shoes: Pale blue patent mary-janes New Look

Hello! I had a day in my jammies yesterday to recover from the day before, but am back today! I wanted to be able to take this dress from summer into winter with thick tights and a cardi and it worked because there's black in the floral print, so it didn't look too 'summery'. You haven't seen these shoes for ages, I think it's been at least 2 years!  I was on tip-toes on a stool reaching over piles and piles of shoe boxes, to find them in the furthest corner on top of my wardrobe!  I guess that's why I haven't worn them much lately!  I also rediscovered this floral coat today too. I have the dentist tomorrow (yep twice in one week-lucky me), so the post might be a little late.

Wearing: Floral dress Dorothy Perkins, cardigan Bonmarche, black tights and floral coat Primark, pom pom hairband Miss Selfridge.
Fit: These are quite narrow, I bought a size up. 4" heel.
Comfort: Super comfy.

Day 675 - Honey Got A Booty Like Pow, Pow, Pow

Shoes: Yellow and blue 'Ruth' wedge London College of Fashion & New Look

It was supposed to rain yesterday but didn't thankfully, so I got out for a wee walk.  I thought I'd wear a really bright outfit because it was a bit dull outside.  I love the little hula-girls on this dress I bought the other week.  These wedges are certainly a work-out for the legs.  I'm not saying they are difficult to walk in but you do just have to remain aware that you're high-up and have further to fall!  It takes concentration when walking to ensure you're not going to step on something that will make you topple and they're very heavy to lift!

Wearing:  Frill dress H by Henry Holland (and belt taken from other HH dress), cardigan Be Beau at Matalan,  leggings Primark, hairband gift.
Fit: True to size, 6 3/4" heel and 2 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Didn't have any issues with them hurting...you have to be careful at walking (really concentrate), but I managed quite a good pace without toppling!

Day Four Hundred & Seventy Three - All The Fun

Shoes: Yellow and blue 'Ruth' wedge London College of Fashion & New Look

Had a busy day yesterday and didn't get the chance to get anything computer-wise done. I just wanted to show you the shoes I wore on Wednesday before settling into 'Irregular Choice Month', which I'm quite excited about. I'll hopefully get my IC shoes from Thursday uploaded today too, then we'll get into the swing of things.

Wearing: Pearl Lowe for Peacocks spotty peter pan collar dress, black tights, black cardi and hair scarf Primark.
Fit: True to size, 6 3/4" heel and 2 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Didn't have any issues with them hurting...you have to be tres careful at walking (really concentrate), but I managed quite a good pace without toppling! It's a long way to fall down if you do though!

Day Four Hundred & Forty Two - Dotty

Shoes: Black and white polka dot 'Lampard' ruffle shoe boot New Look

You may recall me purchasing these shoes a short while ago. I haven't worn them at all so that kinda says it all really. They are gorgeous, they really are, I love the shape, the size of the heel and platform and the fabric-I'm just not keen on the plastic lining which acts to reinforce the sheer fabric.

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: Probably true to size, they are a little large on me and I ordered a size up. Back zip, 1" platform and 5 1/4" heel.
Comfort: I'm not sure how comfortable that plastic would be after a while but can't really comment because I haven't worn them.

Day Three Hundred & Eighty Five - New Look

Shoes: Navy heeled brogues New Look

I've had quite a busy weekend. I've been listing loads of items on eBay again and even had time to make a little video of my animal rings which can be found on my YouTube channel or pop over to Pink Haired Princess and see it there.
Wearing: navy floral dress and blue leggings New Look, sunglasses and coat Primark and although I don't have many 'fashion rules', I never wear navy and black together or brown and black, but I couldn't find another coat, so just popped this on and hoped nobody saw me! I'm also just out of the shower and my hair is in pin curls, so that's why I'm wearing the scarf-and yes, my hair is now a different shade of pink, all lilac has gone : (
Fit: True to size, lace up, 3 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Fine, such a low heel for me though!

Day Two Hundred & Forty Six - Cartoon Vuitton

I bought these shoes ages ago, but haven't worn them outdoors yet because I bought them to DIY! I was pretty obsessed with the Louis Vuitton beaded, shaped heels last winter and wanted something similar and thought the circular shape of this heel was as close as I was going to get. I've been on the lookout for suitable beads or pearls ever since, but none have been quite perfect. I do have a bracelet knocking about that *may* be suitable, so that's my crafty job for next week. They are very cartoonish and remind me of the Jetsons for some reason! Can I also mention how much I love the 'real' buckle, so easy to fasten and very adjustable, yipee!

Day Two Hundred & Seven - To Buy Or Not To Buy?

Hello lovelies! I'm still undecided with my next shoe purchase. Once I make my mind up that I will get them, I chicken out again, aaagh! The shoes in question are by Charlotte Olympia, a designer that I admire and I've always really wanted to own a pair of her shoes. I could afford them and although it wouldn't bankrupt me, it would leave me struggling slightly for yet another month. I really like them and it's a good deal on them (not to mention they're the only pair left in my size), but then there are other designer shoes that I could spend less on (although they perhaps aren't as lustworthy). So, do I take the plunge or not? I'm still eyeing up plenty of other shoes including the blue Bambino by Irregular Choice-I love the floral heel on it (wish my pink pair had that).

Day One Hundred & Ninety Three - Up or Down

My auntie and uncle visited yesterday and I haven't seen them for a year as they live on the Isle of Wight. My nephews also came out, so it was pandemonium. I can't lift my arm above my waist without severe pain caused by lifting my nephew onto a wall on Saturday, repeatedly! Ouch! Anyway, I thought rather than leave you pictureless (although technically I did seeing as I only uploaded it today), I have worn my boots with the top folded down. You saw them in winter as over the knee boots, so this is actually how they are supposed to be worn. Seeing as I won't make it to another winter on The Shoe Girl Diaries, I thought I'd show this image even if I didn't wear them yesterday.

Day One Hundred & Eighty One - Crocodile Tears

I am so behind with everything today. I coloured my hair yesterday, then had a migraine and had to go to bed, so I didn't have time for posting yesterday. This morning was spent browsing and buying from the MAC/Liberty collection and then I spent all afternoon trying to 'work' this new hair colour. Being darker, I can get away with much more dramatic makeup, but that's about the only plus, I otherwise hate it. I rushed todays photo and it shows, because these boots are really nice, but don't look great here. I'll maybe try and retake the images later or tomorrow, but didn't want to leave you picture-less for another day. *updated with new slightly better pic, decided these are lovely in the flesh but very unphotogenic!*Black patent croc concealed platforms New Look

Day One Hundred & Sixty Seven - One Shot

I'm currently making a mental wishlist of Irregular Choice shoes from the new collection. Let's just say it's very long and requires the throwing out of several pairs to make room. I'm at the stage now where I literally have no more space, so need to do the 'one pair in, one pair out' rule. Kinda like a Saturday night in a busy nightclub! Have a good weekend!

Day One Hundred & Fifty One - Tweedle Dee

I'm running a day behind with posts, sorry! And now my camera battery has died so I'll have to take photos tomorrow of the adorably cute boots I'm wearing today. So, yesterdays shoes were these peep toes, I had a very lazy day. For some reason I just couldn't be bothered doing anything and sat in my jammies until 6pm, terrible I know!

Day One Hundred & Forty - Bambi Or Granny

Today I bring you my most 'sensible' pair of shoes/boots. It's really snowy and icy out there and I didn't fancy looking like Bambi on ice (I actually looked more like a Granny learning to walk!), however, I brought out my trusty rubber sole wedge boots. Ok, so they still have a 3 1/2" heel, but that's practically flat for me. They are a lovely burgundy shade and brown leather when folded down. I wore mine 'up' today but perhaps if this weather pursues, I'll need to wear them again with the flap down, would that be cheating or count as another pair of shoes? Lol.

Day One Hundred & Thirty Two - Heel Toe, Heel Toe

An apology first of all for no post yesterday. I was looking after my two little nephews and there wasn't a spare minute to take any photos, plus I didn't go out all day so never wore any shoes. I'm shattered today though, both boys are extremely cute (I'm sure all Aunts say that) but very tiring! Now onto todays beautiful and bright shoes. It's not often I find it difficult to walk in heels, but I was nearly struggling with these. The placement of the heel (it goes straight down from the back of the shoe) means you really have to walk heel first and kind of build up momentum to bounce along so it doesn't look too awkward. Also I think I've become used to wearing platforms and these have a 4 3/4" heel without any at all, so definitely not dancing shoes! I love the large buckle fastening though, it's so easy, no fussing with elasticated buttons or tiny little buckles!

Day One Hundred & Twenty Four - Birthday Blues

Just eaten way too much at my Dads birthday lunch, yummy home baking, Cadburys mini-eggs and birthday cake! Good times! Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Day One Hundred & Eighteen - On A Pink Platform

I haven't stopped all day today, I'm knackered! Going shopping tomorrow (so it will be a delayed post), trying to find something for my Dads birthday. Why are men so difficult to buy for? The sandals today are like a trendy, heeled version of the Scholl pairs you get. They are really cushioned inside which make them super comfy, I used to wear them all summer. I just found them whilst tidying my room, I'm fighting a losing battle with all my shoes at the moment, where do you put them all?!

Day One Hundred & Sixteen - Old Faithful

These shoes are old favourites of mine. I bought them for £20, years ago, before heeled brogues became fashionable. They seem to be that perfect mix of casual and dressy and pretty much go with everything, so I always reach for them.

Day Sixty Five - Sparkly Season

After Christmas shopping yesterday, it put me in the mood for some season sparkle. The glitter on these mary-jane heels is very fine and perfect for daytime wear.
