Day 1260 - Shoesday Tuesday

Charlotte Olympia Xena
Shoes: Xena | Charlotte Olympia

Last week I shared my third pair of Poker Joker dice heels and today I'm switching it up to non-Irregular Choice.  I was really happy to get my hands on these Charlotte Olympia shoes from AW16, a couple of months back.

Day 1043 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: 'Beryl' Orla Kiely for Clarks

Hello, hope this week is treating you well so far. Decidedly winter...not really cold, but where's the daylight? We're putting the lights on earlier each night and leaving them on later in the morning. I hate this time of year for that reason, makes blogging (taking photos) a bit of a nightmare.

Day 979 - I Used To Bite My Tongue And Hold My Breath

Shoes: Black croc 'Barrs' Aldo

Photobucket is still being a pain in the rear, so it's taken hours to upload these few photos. Literally. I've emailed customer support, so hopefully they'll get back to me with an idea of why everything is going so slow. Anyway here is my outfit from Thursday last week. I've completely overdone it the past few days and have been paying the price for it since (it's just been unfortunate everything happened in the one week). However I haven't been shopping since long before Christmas and now that the kids are back to school and the sales have died down, I was hoping it was quieter and easier for me to shop (it was). I came home with a random mix of things (underwear, duvet cover, doll, dresses, earphones). I've still to try the clothes on to see if they fit, it may be another trip to return them if they don't, but we'll save that for next week I think! Comfort was key with this outfit and remember my stories about the opticians? Well I'm browsing the underwear in Debenhams and who comes up behind me, but the lovely lady from the opticians. Was I wearing my glasses like I should be? Eh, no. Busted!

Wearing: Black jersey dress and Barbie leggings Primark, duck ring Topshop, rabbit ring Miss Selfridge, fox ring Evans, green Charming bag (just seen) Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, back zip, elasticated strapping, almost 5" heel.
Comfort: So easy to walk in and comfortable.

Day 866 - In The Circles I've Been Running, I've Covered Many Miles

Shoes: Leopard print 'Edna' Irregular Choice

Absolutely pooped today after shopping. Yesterday I decided to 'put away' my winter boots that had been sitting around for ages. This involves a lot of upheaval because the shoe situation is out of hand and there are piles of boxes everywhere. So while I was doing that I decided I may as well grab a few IC's out of their cupboard and do a seasonal switcheroo. Anyone with OCD would be going nuts because I had to go in 'blind' as there was just enough space to open one door (and not fully) and so I couldn't see in, I just had to reach and contort until I got a box out. I ended up switching shoes which are now in the wrong boxes (eek) and many I couldn't even reach, but hopefully by the time I have to switch back for winter, they'll all be in their own shoe-room. Maybe. Anyway I was so knackered I couldn't even stand or get my lunch (hence why I didn't go out) and I have three bruises on my arm from wedging it in the door (!) I did grab some good shoes though! So today I didn't exactly feel up to shopping, but it was successful as I managed to get a usb hub, longer usb cable to go into the usb port at the back of my PC and also a usb camera card reader (I've been using my old broken camera to upload pics from my dslr as there is no way of attaching it to the pc). All for £1 each (yes I know I already ordered the cable from Amazon but I got impatient and couldn't wait any longer). Crisis averted, thanks for all your advice by the way. Also thanks to Emma for letting me know about this leopard print dress which I already own in floral and heart prints : )

Wearing: Leopard print dip hem dress and beaded cardigan Primark, shiny snake leggings New Look, elephant necklace gift, peacock and crocodile rings gifts, lace flower ring Miss Selfridge, nude quilted bag Love Moschino.
Fit: A little snug, but I wouldn't size up personally. Just over 4" heel.
Comfort: Very comfy and no walking problems.

Day 842 - All The Dreams Sing Their Song

Shoes: Green 'Venus' Irregular Choice

It's rather apt that this green look falls on St Patrick's Day although that's a fluke, because the outfit is actually from Friday and I had a few technical hitches on posting/editing at the time. I had my sister 'rescue' these shoes from the Irregular Choice closet for me to wear over winter (she's the only one small enough to fit in, once I've cleared the 'shoe mountain' in front of the wardrobe), but forgot I had them until recently. We're about to start work on our house in August so I can't see me switching my seasonal pairs over until after then and by then we'll be back into winter anyway (although it's never left currently), so I may not get to wear all my wonderful summery IC's this year. I'm hoping to inherit an actual shoe-room in the renovations, but don't want to get my hopes up in case it doesn't materialise. It would be epic if it did happen though! The thought of no more floor to ceiling piles of boxes and balancing on steps to reach pairs makes me giddy, although I would have to seriously continue downsizing my collection before then (yes even a dedicated room wouldn't be big enough to hold my current collection). So I should probably point you in the direction of my little eBay sale happening today (Sunday). I've had a lot of negative experiences which resulted in me giving up eBay altogether last year, but I'm starting afresh this year with free shipping on all UK orders and the equivalent has been deducted from international orders. I've only got a few things up there because it took forever to list them last week, but I want it all to go!

Wearing: Green floral dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, leggings and coat Primark.
Fit: Run slightly large (not enough to go down a size), 4 1/4" heel and small concealed platform.
Comfort: Very comfy and easy to walk in.

Day 804 - Now Let Me Show You The Shape Of My Heart

Shoes: Black croc 'Barrs' Aldo

My goodness I'm tired today!  I don't know why because I slept until at least half ten this morning! I feel like I've been drugged, I literally can't keep my eyes open....oh dear!  I also spent the day getting ready to go out and timed it just when the downpour of rain/sleet/snow started!  Then when it stopped, the pavements looked slushy and slippy and I thought, there's no way I'm going out in that with ordinary shoes on as I'll just fall over!  So then I spent the afternoon battling to stay awake, yawn!  You're therefore the only people that get to see this outfit.  Wow! See you tomorrow if weather permits; I'm away to eat a Cadbury's Flake for some energy ; )

Wearing:  Grace lace skirt Swan by Clements Ribeiro, Barbie chiffon top Miss Selfridge, mustard tights Primark, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: True to size, back zip, elasticated strapping, almost 5" heel.
Comfort: So easy to walk in and comfortable.

Day 732 - I'm A Space Bound Rocket Ship & Your Heart's The Moon

Shoes: Bronze 'Lacey' Faith

Normally these shoes hurt like hell, they have a tendency to rub at the ankle and heel. I haven't worn them since 'Day 307' back in August 2010! So I wondered if they would work with socks...a bit of a difficult one given that they are technically sandals and with an open toe. I wondered if I was bordering on 'British Grandad on his hols' territory! I think it may have worked though...just. It did the trick for helping out my legs anyway, no issues whatsoever!! This cardigan is new, from Granny-shop Bonmarche! I can't tell you how difficult it is to find a little black cardigan this season. It's jumpers everywhere, so in a bout of desperation, Mum and I wandered into Bonmarche, where I've never been before. It was filled with a lot of Granny-ish things right enough, but thankfully I found a wee cardi. It's slightly longer than I'd have liked (it feels a bit boxy), but it'll do and it's not like I had any much of a choice.

Wearing:  Floral dip hem dress H by Henry Holland, cardigan Bonmarche, pearl bow clasp Primark, socks gift.
Fit: True to size, 5 1/2" heel with 1 1/2" double platform.
Comfort: Normally they rub but there were no issues with my socks!

Day 689 - It's The Dream Afraid Of Waking

Shoes: Purple croc 4 buckle courts Matalan
Shoes: Wine 'Whitney' Irregular Choice

A two-shoe post for yesterday.  I ended up changing at the last minute from the strappy shoes into the platforms, because I knew I had a lot of walking to do (well a lot for me) and I could already feel the purple ones rubbing my heel from wearing them around the house.  Shame, because they were super gorgeous! I had popped out shopping and managed to get soaked 'running' from my house to the bus-stop (which is literally across the road), not good!  Onto the dress and this is the one I was talking about the sizing issues with.  I had heard it was on the larger side, so had already sized down to an 18 and ordered a 16 with it.  I tried the smaller first and it still felt large, so I ended up re-ordering a 14 and had it been produced in a 12 that probably would have fit better!  I guess then it's supposed to be quite loose, but I hate feeling like I'm wearing a tent.  The fabric is sheer (not to the point of seeing everything underneath, but shadows/outlines of your legs are visible in the light) and I certainly wouldn't have paid £75 for it.  It's got pockets (good) and it's just a nice, simple dress to throw on.

Wearing:  'Frida' floral dress Swan by Clements Ribeiro, leggings and cardigan Primark, shoe scarf gift, bag Gossipi, unicorn ring Miss Selfridge, leopard ring Primark, other two rings part of set H&M.
Matalan
Fit: True to size and I love the 4 buckles because they are quite large and not those fiddly little ones you often get these days. Heel 4 3/4".Comfort: You feel safe enough, like I said the back of the heel/straps can rub after time.
Irregular Choice
Fit: True to size, 5" heel and double platform.
Comfort: Very comfortable and no issues.
