Day 901 - I'm Pouring Crimson Regret And Betrayal

Shoes: Black and red polka dot bow 'Sandra' Red Herring at Debenhams

I bought these shoes a couple of weeks ago on a whim!  Mum and I were in Debenhams and I thought they looked cute, it turned out they were on offer and I left with them.  I don't shop like that nowadays, so I did feel a sense of guilt afterwards.  My shoe-shopping habits have changed a lot over the past few years.  I tend not to buy 'cheap' or high-street shoes  It's basically designer or Irregular Choice these days and that's not a snobby thing,  it's all down to lack of space.  I simply don't have room for more shoes, as much as I'd like them, so I've had to change to quality over quantity and avoid falling into the trap of buying them in every colour 'because they're only £20' and instead save to buy a really special pair.  I actually doubt I have many shoes left in my possession from the first year or so of this blog, because I've given away or sold (quite literally) hundreds of pairs to make room.  So as much as I love the Minnie Mouse cuteness of these (exactly the reason I spotted them), they hurt like hell on their first outing and I'm a little mad at myself for not pausing and considering the purchase.  I don't think I should punish myself or hate on the shoes for one silly little relapse though, I just have to try harder next time!  What are your shoe shopping habits like? Do you buy purely for comfort or style or price or just anything you like?

Wearing:  Red floral dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black satin bow brooch Primark, hairband in full length photo (I ended up taking it off because it was too hot today) gift.
Fit: A snug fit, small platform and 5" heel.
Comfort:  The snug fit meant my toes were hard pressed against the tip of the shoe and that got very uncomfortable when walking.  No blisters or rubbing.

Day 900 - But You Didn't Know All The Ways I Loved You

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

I'd noted last week that I was nearing my 900th post, but then today I completely forgot about it! I was wrecked after shopping yesterday, but today was too beautiful to stay indoors. We popped out in the afternoon for a wee wander and thankfully there was an (albeit warm) breeze, because it was super warm. Well as warm as I can cope with (just over 26). I hate when it's so hot and you feel like you're actually sizzling and frying. This guy I know is in Dubai and it was 44 there! I honestly think I'd just shrivel up and die in that heat! Anyway back to my 900th day of shoe-blogging and these were my first or one of my first ever designer pairs. I love them just as much now as I did then. I also love the dress, although it's the hardest thing to keep crease-free!

Wearing: Floral maxi dress ASOS Curve and lily hair clip ASOS, green beaded cardigan Primark, Minimal Baroque sunglasses Prada (not shown).
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 899 - When I'm Not With You I Lose My Mind

Shoes: Black skull 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood & Melissa

So today I went shopping. You know when you just need to get out?  Well it was one of those days. My Debenhams beauty card had been burning a hole in my pocket, so I went to get a certain concealer and they didn't have my shade. All wasn't lost though, I ended up picking up some reduced bargains at the Lancome counter instead and was very happy that I'd resisted purchasing them full-price. I also got unicorn jammies in Primark-I was so excited. Plus a new bra, which to be blunt, shapes me in a way that you could lay a tray on my chest, up and out! It's going to take some getting used to, I feel like Lady Gaga/Katy Perry with the gun/firework bra. I might just knock someones eye out! It was also a day for hair appreciation, especially with the old ladies. One spoke to me before lunch, then sat and watched me, mesmerised the entire time. Uncomfortable ; )

Wearing: Heart print dip hem dress, black leggings, green beaded cardi, coral flower ring and sunglasses Primark, Liberty ring Topshop, other ring my Granny's, spike ear cuff and lily hair clip (part of set) ASOS, pansy clutch bag Accessorize.
Fit: True to size, adjustable slingback, 4 1/4" heel.
Comfort: Easy to walk in, but pinched my toes after a while.

Day 898 - You Taste Like Whiskey When You Kiss Me

Shoes: Amethyst globe 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

It's been a bit of a hectic week for me so far, with my nephews to look after. I've been pushed for time all round, so this outfit is from yesterday. I can't recall the weather or what I did, but I found this dress which hasn't been worn (obviously) since the warmer weather last year. I know I've been wearing my Lady Dragon's a lot lately (especially these, my cherries and the aqua/coral hearts), but it's summer, so I'm getting my wear out of them while I can. I do own lots more colours that seem to be at the bottom of 'shoe-mountain' and having found two spiders in the vicinity, I'm not keen to disturb the site! I'm hoping by the time next season comes, I'll have my shoe room and clambering on top of stools, using coat hangers to reach and grab shoe boxes and almost being killed by shoe-box avalanches (happens a lot) will be a thing of the past. I might also get my second wardrobe back, which is completely inaccessible for shoe-mountain right now and filled with IC's. Oh what an easy life it would be ; )

Wearing: Yellow floral sundress River Island, black leggings and cardigan Primark, orchid flower hair clips ASOS.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size (narrow in the toe).
Comfort: No issues.

Day 897 - I Feel So Lucky, You Wanna Hug Me

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

I was helping to look after my nephews yesterday. Usually my Mum goes to their house to babysit, but seeing as it's the summer holidays and they don't have school or nursery, they came here instead. It was absolute bedlam. As cute as they are, they are three very wild and very loud boys! I think it's taken having grandchildren for my parents to realise just how lucky they were with three easy to amuse, well behaved girls ; ) I had 20 minutes in the morning to get ready, so there was no time for Monster High Monday again, just an easy to wear dress, comfortable shoes and simple makeup.

Wearing: Giraffe print maxi dress Primark, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.
