Day 926 - It's Our Party We Can Do What We Want

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

With my Monster High Monday makeup yesterday, I decided to keep that bright theme going into my outfit with these Barbie leggings.  As much as I love them, I struggle to find dresses (I own) that work well with them.  The majority of mine are already printed and/or too long to wear with leggings.  I did have on my maxi dress with sheer black skirt originally, but I didn't like it so changed into this dip hem one last minute.  Can't say I was enthralled with it either, but I loved my Bertie boots with the leggings.  Then again, they make everything look fierce!  I really needed to wash my hair but had to wait in for a parcel, so that's why it's all tied up (and looking very dishevelled after my wee walk in the sunglasses pic).  Weather wise, we've had a bit of a reprieve since the wintry weekend and it's brightened which is pleasant.

Wearing:  Heart print dip hem dress Primark, Barbie leggings Miss Selfridge, cardigan Bonmarche, Fafi scarf MAC, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 919 - Living From A Tip Jar, Sleeping In My Car

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

Had a wee trip to the shops yesterday as I needed to get something for a friends daughter. The shops weren't that good or maybe I was just in one of those "I don't need it" moods. I got a couple of new Primark dress (£8 each), so it was good for my bank balance! I would've come home with one or two more (in the same style) but they didn't have my size. I wasn't quite sure what the weather was going to be, but figured the days are running out to get away with wearing a maxi and cardi. I kinda wanted some colourful shoes to brighten the whole look, but I love these Bertie wedges so much and have always known they would look awesome paired with this dress. After my Monster High Monday, I decided I liked the bold green on my eyes so much that I'd wear it again. I think it looks striking against my hair.

Wearing: Cat face maxi dress ASOS, leopard print cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, unicorn ring Miss Selfridge, flower midi ring Matalan, butterfly cameo ring Primark, earrings Mawi, green Charming bag Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 897 - I Feel So Lucky, You Wanna Hug Me

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

I was helping to look after my nephews yesterday. Usually my Mum goes to their house to babysit, but seeing as it's the summer holidays and they don't have school or nursery, they came here instead. It was absolute bedlam. As cute as they are, they are three very wild and very loud boys! I think it's taken having grandchildren for my parents to realise just how lucky they were with three easy to amuse, well behaved girls ; ) I had 20 minutes in the morning to get ready, so there was no time for Monster High Monday again, just an easy to wear dress, comfortable shoes and simple makeup.

Wearing: Giraffe print maxi dress Primark, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 739 - I Never Want To Play The Games That People Play

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

My Christmas shopping is well under way and I got a couple more things today when I wasn't even looking. I kinda can't afford it all right now, I'd rather spread it out until Christmas, but hey at least I'm organised! I have sooo many people to buy for and the majority of my friends have kids now, so it's multiplied massively over the past couple of years. Anyway, comfort and warmth was key for this outfit and I ended up changing into my black cardigan (warmer) and my polka dot coat too and added some chunky black earrings, which I ended up removing at lunch because my ears were hurting!  I was freezing by the time we got home, even with all my layers!

Wearing: Marilyn Monroe t-shirt Born Idol (ASOS Mens), black skirt and leggings Primark, leopard cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, 'Smiley Fish' clutch Irregular Choice, key necklace, bee and bright turquoise rings all Primark, light turquoise ring my Granny's, pearl ring gift, flying unicorn ring Miss Selfridge.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 720 - Everything That's Good In Me I Owe To You

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

I was so organised today because I knew my nephews were coming out (well two of the three), because it was the middle cutie-pie's birthday. I had my outfit all sorted, makeup done and pictures taken for the blog, all before midday. Then after they left, a parcel arrived from ASOS and I ripped straight into it and wore two of the new items, changing my outfit completely! Most unlike me to wear something something new so soon! It was a beautiful day though and I know my wear for this dress will be limited come the colder months. I probably should have tried something a little more inspiring on my feet, but these Bertie wedges were sitting out and I'd happily wear them with anything, all the time. The dress is a massive hit with me-I just feel so comfortable in leopard print (probably because I looked like a 6th Spice Girl in my late teens/early 20's) and maxi's have become my chic-in-an-instant must-have! My second lot of pictures didn't turn out nearly as well as the first, sods law really!

Wearing: Leopard print jersey maxi dress ASOS Curve, elephant head belt ASOS, cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 711 - I'm An American Idol Gettin' Money Like Seacrest

Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie

Due to a server crash on Photobucket, I've been unable to blog since the weekend (as I couldn't upload any images), sorry about that. These things happen and although I'm paying for a service that I can't use which is annoying (not to mention leaves me with a backlog of work to do), there's no use getting mad as there's nothing you can do about it. I'm happy to be back anyway, it was a rather hectic weekend, with lots of eBaying! I rather overdid it with more than 80 things up for sale over 2 days. I had just under 30 parcels to send out in the end, which was a mammoth task and I'm not sure I'd like to do it again (although it was rather satisfying to get rid of so much stuff). By Monday I was seriously knackered, so had a long shower and just popped out without any makeup on and I have to admit this outfit is rather thrown together and not very imaginative! I was searching for another pair of shoes which were about 7 boxes down in a great pile and spied my faithful Superstar's and decided they'd do instead. I have a lovely outfit from y'day coming up and will hopefully get out today too (trying to soak up the last days of summer)!

Wearing:  Nancy maxi dress Swan by Clements Ribeiro, London print scarf River Island, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.
