Day 1040 - Shoesday Tuesday
Shoes: Irregular Choice 'Tea Leaf'
Yo peeps, what's happening with you this week? It's winter now huh? Well technically 'autumn' but you know what I mean, it's "changed". I actually don't mind the shift in the weather too much, it's more the lack of daylight that I hate. I don't have SAD or anything, but it's a nightmare trying to take decent blog photos! I'm already trying to think ahead and see if there's anything I could photograph now, before we're reduced to dim light for a few hours a day and darkness for the other 20! There's plenty more weeks of unseen shoes in Shoesday Tuesday to come though. Definitely enough to see this year out.
I bought these in the sale over summer, but haven't had the chance to wear them because I haven't been out since. They need stretched anyway, they are really tight on me. I kinda figured they would be (most of my shoes with heels like this are a little snug, even though the uppers vary), but they are painfully tight. Had the bigger size been an option, I'd have gone with those, but they only had a 5, so I risked it. I'm pretty confident I can wear them with thick socks (although it's doubtful I'll even get them on, there's literally no spare room in them) and stretch them a bit. I adore the colours and the art-deco print and fan detail look unlike anything else in my collection. You know that heel is always a winner for me too. What do you think?
Fit: Just under 4" heel. Small and tight, I'd go for the size up.
Comfort: Painful just now until they are stretched, but the heel is easy to walk in.

Aww, these are really pretty! I think I was getting them confused with something else, as I didn't think they had this heel, but were shorter.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, trying to think which ones they'd be. I love the colours in this heel and with the contrasting purple.
DeleteI'm a huge fan of irregular choice, I love these shoes. So pretty!

Me too Lucy x
DeleteI love IC, as I have told you, and these shoes are no exception, I loved them! IC has that problem, I noticed. I used to buy my normal number, and suddenly they started to feel tight. Reading now, I see that it can't be that my feet grew, rather that IC had kind of changed the sizes... don't know!

It's funny, I bought another pair at the same time (same heel) and they were tight but definitely bigger than these.
