The Shoe Girl Styles It: Iron Fist Care Bears Stare Heels

As I mentioned yesterday, The Shoe Girl Styles It will be focusing on the new Iron Fist collection this week. Today I have a couple of items to show you from the wonderful Care Bears collaboration. We've already seen whimsical My Little Pony designs in seasons past, which I was super excited about, but I love this combination too. Initially I was going to just use the shoes (which I'll get to in a moment), as I realised it might be difficult to include my usual plus-size look when IF don't strictly cater for larger sizes. However I decided to persevere with a look I was planning anyway and adapt it for plus size.
So the shoes are Iron Fist Care Bears 'Stare' £58.99. Depending on which site you're looking at them on, the pink colours can vary from pastel to bright (as you can see from above and below and I actually had to change my dress because of this). Now I've bought several IF items of clothing over the years with varying success in fitting them, but I thought in my outfit, I'd use this adorable printed shirt. I'd wear it completely open (this was my intention anyway) and obviously that gives you more room without fear of buttons popping open! Plus it has this weird draped cut-out at the back, which I'm thinking will also give a little extra manoeuvrability, as well as the fit being oversized. The cuffs also unbutton, so it's only really around the armholes and across the shoulders and top of the sleeves that you'd have to worry about. 18-20 I'm sure would fit it, likely a 22 and possibly even a 24 depending on arm room.  I'd wear a fitted dress underneath, like this one from the plus range at BooHoo, it also comes in pink (though the website says "red") which looked great with the shirt, not so hot with the bear on the shoes. I finished with this Punky Pins necklace because the shirt is open and the neckline quite low on the dress. I could see the shoes switched out and replaced with biker boots or ankle boots too for a more edgy, casual thang! I've actually convinced myself I need this blouse now, definitely going on the wishlist! What do you think of this look? The Shoe Girl Styles It: Iron Fist Care Bears Stare Heels
Worn with:  Iron Fist Care Bears 'Clouds of Caring' blouse £36.99 (sale), BooHoo Plus 'Mandy' dress £20 and Punky Pins wooden tattoo bird necklace £9.99.

  1. Care bears were MY toy when we were young (my sister was My Little Pony). I feel all nostalgic seeing these, especially the beautiful shirt although I'm still not convinced by bears on shoes (except for Squeezy) x

    1. Aww brilliant! We had homemade Care Bears, probably because we couldn't afford the real thing. My Mum's friend made them for a craft fair at church. Mine was the green Lucky Charm, my little sister had the yellow Sunshine one and I think my older sister was pink with either hearts or a rainbow on it.

  2. I don't really remember much about the Care Bears from being younger, but the print on the shirt is cute!

    1. I've seen bits of the modern cartoon on TV, they are pretty cute, though their voices can be annoying!
