Day 1259 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Poker Joker
Shoes: Poker Joker | Irregular Choice

My only shoe buy from the IC summer sale and my third variation of this style (4th of the heel).  Last week, I shared the very beautiful Ava's Aviary birdcage heels from several years back.  The dice heel was first introduced in August 2015, with Poker Joker in two colourways (I bought the sequins ones).  Then three sequins PJ's launched as part of the Bring Back collections in 2021, with a further two pairs released earlier this year.  You may remember I bought a pair, but I was holding out for these ones to go into the sale.

Day 1255 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Bunny Palette
Shoes: Bunny Palette | Irregular Choice

Another relatively recent purchase for you today, but sadly one I've not been able to keep.  Last week I reviewed my second pair of Looney Tunes, the Merrie Melodies heels, if you missed those.  As you'll be aware if you're a regular reader of the blog, Irregular Choice began making "Paint Your Own Heel" shoes a couple of years ago.

Day 1250 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Odette
Shoes: Odette | Irregular Choice

Another scorcher today, I've been struggling since I woke this morning, it's just so muggy.  The current weather warning ends here at midnight, so I'm hoping for a better sleep, but won't bet on it.  Once more I'm having to rely on old photos for this post and have just realised I didn't have any of the back view (I took these photos back in 2019 for the shoe challenge on Instagram, so wasn't intending them to be used for my fit reviews here) and I wanted to familiarise myself with the sizing, but although I know where the shoes are, I can't reach them.  In this heat, I'm refusing to exert myself, so I won't be moving boxes around the shoe room.  I'll update this post once I reach them, if anything changes, but I think I remember the sizing.  Last week, I posted the very old Shimmy Pom Pom if you missed that.

Day 1249 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Shimmy Pom Pom
Shoes: Shimmy Pom Pom | Irregular Choice

Another unusual wedge shaped heel for you this week after Dotty Love last time, although I didn't think I'd be able to post at all. I actually have a couple of new pairs of shoes to show you, however this heat is killing me, it's unbearable. There's absolutely no way I was attempting to empty the shoe room overspill, then shut myself in and wear tights/pose for photos in said incubator. I expected to do my usual and find some old photos on my laptop, but it's even been too hot for that. I'm sleeping more (probably because the heat makes it too difficult to sleep at night) and any attempt to sit with a hot laptop near me has failed quickly the past few days, I just can't concentrate or focus.  I honestly don't know how people manage to go about their lives and work in this.  It's been somewhat cooler at times today (i.e. enough for me not to have the fan on full-blast), so I did manage to scavenge some old photos of a much older style, dating back to 2007, but as I'm typing it's boiling again and it's early evening!

Day 1248 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Dotty Love
Shoes: Dotty Love (red) | Irregular Choice

Another heart themed pair from my photo archives this week, after the cut-out heart heeled, Rosie Posy last time. I have previously fit reviewed Dotty Love actually, as I bought them in two colours. They launched for SS15 and I got the red and blue, but they also came in black (all with a white base).

Day 1247 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Rosie Posy
Shoes: Rosie Posy | Irregular Choice (Rosanna Gault)

Like Teddy Toes last week, my shoes today are also from SS17.  Back in 2010, Irregular Choice collaborated with the London College Of Fashion, where Rosanna Gault and So Yeon Sarah had their designs made, in a very limited collection.  Rosanna was asked to rework her cut-out heart heel and floating platforms for SS17, where we were treated to 6 more variations.  I ended up with 5 of those, some of which I've not yet shared here, though they all fit similarly.

Day 1245 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Arctic Slide
Shoes: Arctic Slide | Irregular Choice

Another oldie for you this week and something a bit different from my usual heels.  Last time, I posted my fit review of the Glazed & Confused platforms from SS19, coincidentally the pair today are also from that season.  These were part of the Family Reunion collection, celebrating 20 years of Irregular Choice.  That collection (I've stated before), is one of my favourites and remains so-I can't think of another since, that's had me as enthralled.

Day 1233 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Love Is All Around
Shoes: Love Is All Around | Irregular Choice

These boots came out in SS18, but I think I picked them up in one of the Irregular Choice online hidden gems sales.  They are of course, based on a much older style known as Can Can, which also came in court shoe form.  Personally, I love the shape of the boot.  The heel is a lot shorter than I'd usually attempt, but the slightly weird shoe-boot shape, just draws me in.  That said, this style just aren't comfortable for me and I need to realise that!  I first had the black and white zig-zag patterned pair (iconic pattern, but I eventually sold them).  Then I bought the green paisley fabric with the swans on, in a size-up and they were the incorrect pair in the right box, so were actually 2 sizes bigger and had to be returned.  These I bought in my regular 5/38, but they're just not right on me.

Day 1232 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing unicorn seahorse striped tights and matching ankle boots
Shoes: Daisy Dreams | Irregular Choice

When I spoke last week about having to compromise on certain aspects of footwear these days, these boots immediately sprung to mind.  Daisy Dreams launched for SS19 and while I instantly loved the theme and colours, the heel height was really off-putting for me.  With such a large platform, it essentially takes the heel down to a very small 2 1/4", which means your foot is almost flat inside.  It's nowhere near the elevation my feet are accustomed to.

Day 1228 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Pooch Perfect
Shoes: Pooch Perfect | Irregular Choice

These were another sale purchase recently, which I've had my eye on since they launched.  Remember the dog heeled Bougainvillea a couple of weeks back? They were from the same collection and if these boots had the doggy heel, they'd have been perfect for me.  The heel here is a little boring, but the shoe uppers weren't that exciting , so the combination of the two would've been perfect.

Day 1208 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing pastel Sanrio print tights with Hello Kitty plane court shoes
Shoes: It's Time To Have Fun | Irregular Choice x Sanrio

The next pair of Irregular Choice shoes I bought from the Sanrio collection, are these winged courts.  Last week I shared the Playing Dress Up boots if you missed those.  The pair today, I was most unsure of when ordering, but as I said in my first impressions post, they really went up in my estimations when I saw them for real.

Day 1201 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing dalmatian print sandals with fluffy neon marabou trim
Shoes: Nicole marabou dalmatian | Sophia Webster

These were another of my birthday shoes from last year, but a pair I'm not intending keeping.  I spoke about it here, I do really think they are awesome, just not sure they are practical enough, even although I'm not known for my sensible shoes! I have to apologise again for the blunder last week...blogging a pair I'd only blogged 6 weeks previous.  My life is that mundane, I didn't even notice until a couple of days later!!  The words did feel familiar, but I had no inclination when editing the photos (idiot), but I just put it down to already reviewing them on PHP.  Wow, what a doofus, even my ever-forgetful Mum was making fun of me for this mistake!

Day 1198 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing gingham glitter court shoes with unicorn heel
Shoes: Paint A Friend | Irregular Choice

Here's the final Irregular Choice 'Paint Your Own Heels' style from the collection that launched last month.  Like the bunnies last week, the plain unicorn heel was initially released last year (I blogged about them here) and once more I felt these were different enough to own both.

Day 1188 - Shoesday Tuesday

close up wearing organza frill ankle socks and fuzzy bunny heeled shoes
Shoes: Hop Along | Irregular Choice

In March 2016, Irregular Choice released another variation of their bunny heel. There was just one style (Hop Along), sold alongside three colours of Bunnie Love; a perspex heeled court with bunny ears and pom pom tail. As much as I loved the new heel, the colour put me off. White isn't exactly practical and I already had the glitter bunny heeled Bunnykins in white lace that had launched the previous Christmas. I couldn't justify it, so instead bought the pink Bunnie Love, which I had to send back twice because I wasn't happy with them (frayed and snagged ribbons and some marks to the uppers), so I didn't get anything in the end from that launch.

Day 1184 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing wedge shoes with toy car theme and mesh socks
Shoes: Spaghetti Junction | Irregular Choice

Another week, another Irregular Choice sale buy!  Like High Score last time, these were from the Gaming collection for Summer last year.  They were also another IC exclusive colourway.  The other option was a bright rainbow finish, which I also liked, but something about the contrast between the black and white with green glitter really drew me in.  Again, their weight or lack of, really surprised me.  This is a super lightweight wedge.  They are a bit tricky to get into at first, with the circular part of the road.  I found just pushing my foot in slowly, bit by bit and pulling that circular part up little by little worked best, rather than trying to do it in one move.  The strapping is elasticated slightly on the inner side which I've photographed below (8th image, visible slit in the red strap).

Day 1175 - Shoesday Tuesday

blue star print knee high boots with red and white striped hat shaped heel
Shoes: The Cat In The Hat | Irregular Choice

I've finished my festive footwear posts, so this week, I have another recent purchase, The Cat In The Hat boots from the Dr Seuss collection.  This collection was split into 2 parts, with CITH coming first, then The Grinch in time for Christmas.  I didn't buy anything from that launch...there's several things I like, but I can't afford them after all the Christmas stuff.  I also technically couldn't afford these and therefore didn't buy them on launch day, but a birthday voucher I'd been saving for something else (but ended up getting for a better deal elsewhere) meant I saved quite a bit.

Day 1173 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice Christmas ankle boots with Santa sleigh skyline
Shoes: Sleigh Ride | Irregular Choice

Hello, back with another Christmas style from the recent Irregular Choice launch.  I was supposed to post last week, but was plagued with migraines on top of a cold.  I've still got the cold, I just can't seem to shift it.  Anyway, last time I showed you the advent calendar boots and the boots today are another really innovative concept.

Day 1172 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing irregular choice red glitter advent calendar boots
Shoes: Advent Adventures | Irregular Choice

Look what arrived today, just in time for opening!  Let me start by saying the Christmas collection this year from Irregular Choice is literally jaw-dropping.  The light up fabric we were introduced to in the Space Station collection features, the Santa heel is back (yay) and glittery, there's musical heels, paint your own Santa heel and these, advent calendar boots.  If you can't think it up, IC will!

Day 1157 - Shoesday Tuesday

close up of blue PU shoe with applique sea animals and pearls and white fur trimmed top on foot
Shoes:  Irregular Choice Fuzzy McFrosty

Hello gang!  Here's the next of my Family Reunion character heels.  The polar bear was a brand new character for this collection, although the heel itself is just the original panda (later a gold bear) in a different finish.  It's brilliant, it really is.  I love the whole concept of the shoe, I think it's so, so clever.  However, this post is more about the fit, so let's get onto that.

Day 1131 - Shoesday Tuesday

side angle of legs in black fishnets with cow print ankle boots and Woody Toy Story heel
Shoes: Irregular Choice Disney Toy Story 'You Are A Toy!*

Hello gang! It's been a long time since I've been able to post here. I've been sitting on these photos for a looong time!  Since May actually and I was editing them on the train during my London trip, hoping nobody was sneaking a look over my shoulder and seeing them before they should!  Without fail though, every Tuesday, I've had a migraine and/or spent the entire day sleeping. It's been rather freaky how regular it's been, so Shoesday was never getting a look in! This week though, I'm going for it, so here's my first pair of Toy Story boots.
