Day 896 - I Can Get A Free Drink For Flipping My Hair

Shoes: Turquoise floral 'Can't Touch This' Irregular Choice

Yesterday my sister and I went to see the matinee screening of Despicable Me 2. I can't say I was looking forward to it (even although I love the first film), because health wise I've been struggling lately and the slightest little thing has repercussions and sitting for that length of time in one position was never going to be a good thing. Anyway the cinema was busy, I was uncomfortable but the film was good but not amazing. I just wish it was the girls on screen all the time (especially Agnes) because they're all just too cute and I get a bit bored with the minion stuff. Ok, they can be funny, but not quite as hilarious as the Dad sitting behind us thought (he literally laughed every time he saw a minion, like before they even did anything). I stretched these shoes a little in the morning, wearing them around the house with super thick socks, because this style can be quite snug fitting to begin with.  I just love the print and already own this style in other colours, so know how comfortable they can be (these could be better because unfortunately they have the harsh gold lining that I don't like).  I also got to wear my new pretty sundress from Primark and am thankful that I layered it up with vest, cardi, leggings and skirt, because it was rather chilly in the cinema despite the sunshine outside.

Wearing: Floral striped sun-dress, black net skirt (worn underneath), black vest and black leggings Primark, cardigan Bonmarche, orchid hair clips ASOS, red belt gift (Madeira).
Fit: Snug fit at the start, adjustable buckle, 4" perspex heel.
Comfort: I could feel the lining of the strap rubbing, but otherwise no issues.

Day 895 - My Heart Breaks A Little When I Hear Your Name

Shoes: Turquoise & Coral Heart 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

Well, here's the new hair colour!  It happened a day later than expected, because I haven't been keeping very well this week. Yesterday though, I got to unpin my hair and see what it really looked like! It's very similar (if not identical) to how it used to be (circa 2011) when I still had pink in the ends of my hair and did a full head of Atomic Turquoise (which turned the ends purple). This time though, I had to use Ultra Violet on the ends which were still a light lilac/grey shade and Crazy Color 'Bubblegum Blue' mixed with Atomic Turquoise for the rest of my head. It was a bit of a plaster as I usually pile my hair up onto my head as I'm colouring, but the ends had to be left down to get an idea of where to apply the purple, but the effect was worth it. You can't see much of the purple here because my hair was really curly and therefore shorter but I'm sure on other days when the ends hang down a bit and I don't have a huge (but OMG how freakin' beautiful?) flower obscuring it, you'll see it better!

Wearing: Neon floral dress H By Henry Holland, black leggings Primark, leopard belt Dorothy Perkins, lily hair clip ASOS (part of set).
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, adjustable slingback, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 894 - I Had A Gun, A Big Gun

Shoes: Amethyst globe 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

No 'Monster High Monday' today because I was feeling a bit bleugh this morning and left it until pretty late to get dressed. I applied minimal makeup (quickly) and tried to do something with my hair! I bleached it last night and seeing as I haven't had time to order any dye, it looks like I'll be making up a concoction from the colours I have left. There's no conditioner or styling products in it today (so it's ready for colouring), so it was an absolute nightmare to brush after I washed it and it's a bit difficult to style. However, I managed a little beehive with what little hair I have, which was quite impressive! The ends (which you can't see) weren't bleached but have lost so much purple, they're a dirty grey shade! We'll see what it ends up like on...Wednesday, as I'm colouring it tomorrow afternoon. A tiny little bit about this outfit (how perfect are the shoes with the dress?), I've had this dress for months and it's a plum colour which clashed horribly with my purple hair hence why I've never worn it. So seeing as I'm blonde for a day, I decided to give it a whirl.

Wearing: Plum swallow print dress New Look, leggings Primark, hair scarf M&Co, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size (narrow in the toe).
Comfort: No issues.

Day 893 - This Tunnel's Dark, But There's A little Light Glowing

Shoes: Beige Lady Dragon Cherries Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

Yesterday I popped out with my friend and her baby (well he's 2 now, so technically not a baby any longer) for a catch-up. We went to a local farm....yeah, the outfit was decided before I knew where we were going. It was a lovely sunny day and we had tea and scones and a good ol' chat. I was definitely overdressed (I could actually feel the looks I was getting as soon as I stepped out of the car) but if you can't wear Westwood shoes, a fancy dress and designer handbag and sunglasses to see chickens and lambs and walk over hay and chicken-wire, then when can you?! Swinging my leg over (without flashing) to sit at a picnic bench in a pencil skirt wasn't actually as tricky as I imagined! I've been suffering since though, my health is just crap right now (even more so than usual), I just can't cope if I've done any sort of activity, no matter how trivial (I was only out for an hour). So I spent all evening just lying down, doing nothing and I'm shattered and dizzy today.

Wearing: Blue polka dot wiggle dress ASOS, red belt gift, Charming clutch bag Love Moschino, pearls Primark, zebra, mouse and bunny ears rings Topshop, unicorn ring Red Herring at Debenhams, Minimal Baroque sunglasses Prada (not shown).
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 892 - When They're So Alone They Find A Back Door Out Of Life

Shoes: Hessian 'Can't Touch This' Irregular Choice

Feeling pretty shattered today after going shopping yesterday. I really needed out of the house though. I ended up buying the most beautiful dress. It's absolutely stunning. I saw it last time I was shopping (which was ages ago) and I could see the potential even on the hanger. It's from Coast and is much pricier than what I'd usually pay for a dress, but I tried it on, just to see if it would fit and then I could subsequently stalk the hell out of it. See when I put it on though, that was it. Like picking up a fluffy puppy in a pet shop and having to put it back....there was no chance! It was just so beautiful and it's the type of dress that suits a curvier girl, because I've looked at it online and the model is in no way doing it justice (it's too heavy for her). I don't actually have anywhere to wear it though, no weddings coming up, however I might just try and work it into day wear, despite it making me look proper fancy!

Wearing: 'Postcard' dress Monsoon, lace camisole M & Co, green pearl cardigan and pearls Primark, pained rabbit rings Topshop, flower ring Miss Selfridge, skull hair bow gift, nude quilted bag Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, adjustable buckle, 4" perspex heel.
Comfort: Difficult to buckle up but no other issues.

Day 891 - What Really Hurt Me Is I Broke Your Heart

Shoes: Turquoise & Coral Heart 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

A beautiful day today and you can probably tell these shoes were the inspiration and starting point for the whole outfit. I wouldn't usually think to pair turquoise with coral or peach, but seeing as both colours are in the shoes, I played on it for the rest of my look. This dress is a couple of years old, but I still really love it, it's one of those feel-good dresses, even if you do get an eyeful of your own cleavage every time you look down! The little jacket I don't wear very often, because the colour and style are tricky to work into my wardrobe, but it looked pretty with this dress. My hair is desperately needing re-coloured, so I disguised as best I could with an oversized bow my friend made for my birthday.  The makeup completely clashed, but it is Monster High Monday today and I didn't plan the two together!

Wearing: Floral shift dress Dorothy Perkins, floral bolero Primark, skull bow gift.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, adjustable slingback, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.
