Day 1175 - Shoesday Tuesday

blue star print knee high boots with red and white striped hat shaped heel
Shoes: The Cat In The Hat | Irregular Choice

I've finished my festive footwear posts, so this week, I have another recent purchase, The Cat In The Hat boots from the Dr Seuss collection.  This collection was split into 2 parts, with CITH coming first, then The Grinch in time for Christmas.  I didn't buy anything from that launch...there's several things I like, but I can't afford them after all the Christmas stuff.  I also technically couldn't afford these and therefore didn't buy them on launch day, but a birthday voucher I'd been saving for something else (but ended up getting for a better deal elsewhere) meant I saved quite a bit.

Shoes: Nutcracker | Irregular Choice

I have my final festive footwear from the recent Irregular Choice collection to share tonight. On launch day, these immediately caught my eye because of the pretty, pastel colours and how different they were to the other more traditional red, gold and green pairs.  I thought the same thing last year about Sweet Ginger Love, which were (very sadly) too low heeled for me.  They of course, tell the story of The Nutcracker with the soldier on one shoe and sugar plum fairy on the other.  I was a ballet dancer when I was younger and we put on The Nutcracker production one year, I must've been 11 or 12.  I got to be a...rat, the King Rat, but still a rat.  I was gutted, I wanted the big dresses and layers of net, but alas we had to stitch a tail onto grey leggings from Happit and rummage through a pile of charity shop 'treasures' our teacher bought (I ended up with an oversized mustard shirt and cropped sequin waistcoat).  We had swords and had a whole dance situated around sword fighting.  Not the glamour I hoped for!  Anyway, it was my birthday at the time and my childhood school friend bought me a teddy bear with a red bow around it's neck and I named it Clara, after the main character in The Nutcracker.  I still have Clara, for about 20 years, I couldn't sleep without her, she went everywhere with me, even just overnight stays.

Shoes: Sleigh Ride | Irregular Choice

Hello, back with another Christmas style from the recent Irregular Choice launch.  I was supposed to post last week, but was plagued with migraines on top of a cold.  I've still got the cold, I just can't seem to shift it.  Anyway, last time I showed you the advent calendar boots and the boots today are another really innovative concept.

Shoes: Advent Adventures | Irregular Choice

Look what arrived today, just in time for opening!  Let me start by saying the Christmas collection this year from Irregular Choice is literally jaw-dropping.  The light up fabric we were introduced to in the Space Station collection features, the Santa heel is back (yay) and glittery, there's musical heels, paint your own Santa heel and these, advent calendar boots.  If you can't think it up, IC will!
