Day Three Hundred & Eighty Six - Springify

Shoes: Pink 'Bucks Fizz' peep toes Shoemissy

A beautiful day here today, clear skies and bright sunshine, although still a little cold. I've taken to wearing a hat, scarf and sunglasses most days (like to be prepared for it all)! I decided to 'springify' an otherwise black outfit, with this gorgeous pastel blue dress and these shoes picked up the pink flowers from the dress. The dress has lovely detailing on the shoulders and the skirt has gores, so it hangs beautifully.
Wearing: wrapover floral dress New Look Limited Edition, black stirrup leggings and vest Primark.
Fit: True to size, 3 3/4" heel and small platform.
Comfort: Very easy to walk in, another low heel for me and very comfy too.

Day Three Hundred & Eighty Five - New Look

Shoes: Navy heeled brogues New Look

I've had quite a busy weekend. I've been listing loads of items on eBay again and even had time to make a little video of my animal rings which can be found on my YouTube channel or pop over to Pink Haired Princess and see it there.
Wearing: navy floral dress and blue leggings New Look, sunglasses and coat Primark and although I don't have many 'fashion rules', I never wear navy and black together or brown and black, but I couldn't find another coat, so just popped this on and hoped nobody saw me! I'm also just out of the shower and my hair is in pin curls, so that's why I'm wearing the scarf-and yes, my hair is now a different shade of pink, all lilac has gone : (
Fit: True to size, lace up, 3 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Fine, such a low heel for me though!

Day Three Hundred & Eighty Four - A Sight For Sore Eyes

Shoes: Black leather and wooden 'Sight For Sore Eyes' platforms Office

Wow, the boobs are out today, haha! I bought this dress the other week in green and it was just too tight across the bust, so I returned it and found they had more stock (tonnes more sizes and colours). So I bought a bigger size and got it in green, peach and black! It has a lovely pleated bodice which although is aesthetically pleasing, it doesn't really mould to ones curves, so it kinda squishes your boobs and seeing as I have a lot to squish, it's a little revealing. My Mum told me not to bend over, but quite honestly I'm packed in here for good-one of the plus points of having a large bust, it's highly unlikely you ever accidentally 'fall out' of your top or dress! A combination of my ever increasing bust and growing older means I usually try to cover up, but I just thought 'what the hell' today, besides there's really nowhere else for them to go!
Wearing: Hawaiian floral print black dress (with pockets-how cool), black leggings and black cardi all Primark and black belt Dorothy Perkins.
Fit: 5 3/4" heel and platform over 1 1/2", adjustable buckle fastening. True to size.
Comfort: They have a rubber sole, so that helps, but you do have to be careful because you can wobble every so often! The heel is chunky enough that you have a reasonably solid base though. Comfort is fine.

Day Three Hundred & Eighty Three - A Royal Affair

Shoes: Raspberry patent strappy shoes (worn without ruffle) Matalan

It was another lovely day, albeit a bit windy which was good considering Prince William and Kate were visiting. I often wonder if these Royals realise the work (and money) that's involved preceding their visit. The town has been utter chaos all week with press everywhere, security checking every drain, lamp-post and anything else. Bins have been taken off the street as they are an eyesore, various items have been removed for security reasons (even although they were nailed into the ground) and fresh paint has been applied anywhere that stands still long enough. My Dad works for the University and was given brand new boots to wear (he's retiring soon, so really doesn't need them and was not directly with William at any point!). Dad also had to give the names, addresses and dates of birth of all his team that were working in the area today. Guests at the event were not allowed bags, cameras or phones and they needed their passports with them (after security checks obviously) and had very strict guidelines on what to wear. All that fuss for a couple that lived here (pretty anonymously) for 4 years and which I'm sure have seen wheelie bins, chipped paint and casual attire!

Wearing: Pearl Lowe for Peacocks peter pan collar dress which is so see-through, so I need a slip underneath (also very creased-oops) and black tights.
Fit: Very narrow toe box, these are my regular size. 4 straps with adjustable buckles. Heel 4 3/4" and concealed platform.
Comfort: With the narrow toe, they will probably ache after a few hours, but I didn't have any issues today.

Day Three Hundred & Eighty Two - Rock On

Shoes: Black mesh boots with tassel Christopher Kane for Topshop

Spring is here today! The sun is out (hence the reason my face looks a totally different colour in the pics below depending on how bright the light was in that moment!) and it's reasonably warm. I went out for my daily walk and didn't wear a cardi or scarf with my short sleeved coat! I even wore sunglasses...well that was more to cover my face because I wasn't wearing any makeup! I've been struggling to find the right outfit for these tights for some time now...not sure I totally nailed it, but I liked the contrast of black with the pink floral lace. Plus these boots are totally rock chic further contradicting the sombre, ladylike dress and girly tights.

Wearing: Black short sleeved shift dress ASOS Curve, pink floral lace tights Miss Selfridge. Sunglasses Primark (last year), unicorn brooch on hat Miss Selfridge.
Fit: True to size, full length zip. 5 3/4" heel and roughly 1 1/2" platform.
Comfort: The huge rubber sole definitely helps balance out the skinny heel and they really grip when you walk, which is great.

Day Three Hundred & Eighty One - Kitty Prat

Shoes: Cat print mary jane platforms Shoesone

Ah, I'm in a bit of a terrible mood today. Some idiot decided to leave me neutral feedback on eBay (thus ruining my 100% positive), all because the makeup item she bought was a tester (which was completely obvious from the photo and if she missed that, it was mentioned several times throughout the listing, not to mention that I wouldn't selling a £38 eye palette for a fiver if it were the retail version!). Silly woman has just pissed me off! I got ready to go out in this dress I bought yesterday, then my leggings kept falling down, the boots I wanted to wear-the zip kept sticking, then I was too hot and bothered and had wasted half a day for nothing and didn't bother going anywhere!

Wearing: Navy polka dot pussy bow dress Primark (cute sleeves), navy shimmery leggings also Primark. Technically these shoes are black, but they do verge on navy for me.
Fit: I needed a size larger in these, buckles strap is adjustable. Platform around 1 1/4" and block heel 4 3/4".
Comfort: Well I didn't get far in these shoes, but I can't foresee any problems, certainly they are easy to walk in.

Day Three Hundred & Eighty - In The Pink

Shoes: Pink leopard platform 'Wilma' boots Senso Diffusion at Solestruck

If you follow my facebook page you'll have been given a sneak peek (and exclusive image) of the shoes I was wearing today (you can find my page by clicking the button to the side >>>). I figure I need to wear these boots as often as I can before it gets warmer and they always make me feel fabulous. Outdoors they are just sooo bright-stunning! I tried to show you them from a different angle today.

Wearing: Off-white and black lace bow dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black tights, double flower ring (the smaller of the two) Miss Selfridge and single ring (but double flower-complicated huh?) Primark along with the usual layers.
Fit: These are a US9 and quite roomy inside for me, but there's just enough room for me to get them on and off. Platform 3.5cm and heel 5 3/4".
Comfort: Not the comfiest shoes I've ever worn, but there weren't any specific issues I had with them.

Day Three Hundred & Seventy Nine - I Heart Syd

carvela syd shoe bootShoes: Taupe and navy patent 'Syd' shoe boots Carvela at Kurt Geiger

You may notice a slight difference to the layout of this post today. I'm just trying it out-let me know if you really dislike it! I'm glad to be 'back' after my busy week. I sold a ton of stuff on eBay this weekend, so I've been packing up parcels all morning-that's the majority done now though. I have to tell you the conversation I overheard from some school kids when I was out walking today. "Do you know Ben...?" "He's a Jew...like a proper Jew"! Kids huh?!

Wearing: I totally crushed this dress taking these photos-sorry about that! It's far too shiny to take a decent photo anyway. It's by ASOS Curve and has this strange ruched middle which isn't what I would call 'ruched', it's just kinda lumpy and too big, so I needed this Topshop metal bow belt to pull it in. Heart tights Primark (so comfy) and the usual outer layers.
Fit: 5 1/2" skinny heel and 1" platform. Small inside zip and the strap is elasticated for ease of getting on and off.
Comfort: You know what? Sometimes the shoes that look 'killer', actually aren't. I found these easy to walk in, although the arch support isn't that great, after a while they may ache.

No Shoes Today : (

Absolutely shattered from looking after my little nephews today-such hard work! We have them tomorrow and Friday too, so it's unlikely I'll get any shoe pics up (never mind getting properly dressed, wearing makeup, showered..) but we'll see...!

Day Three Hundred & Seventy Eight - Not So Wow

Shoes: Black suede 'Wowzers' Irregular Choice

I realise my outfit pics, really do get more and more crap as time goes on! It seems I'm not cut out to take decent images of my clothing, especially when it's mainly black or ultra bright. I do try though and the emphasis of this blog is always on the shoes...but I just feel I'm letting you all down little with my useless photography! In the shoe shot, I do have another leg and foot in that pic, but somehow managed to completely hide it-pretty sneaky!

Wearing: Floral chiffon dress Peacocks (has a frilled layer underneath and short flared sleeves). Black leggings and cardi. Fit: 4 1/2" heel, bought my regular size and they just fit in length.
Comfort: A great heel to clomp away on, easy to walk in.

Day Three Hundred & Seventy Seven - Brighten Up

Shoes: Ivory and black patent 'Parkie' platforms ASOS Premium

I had a lovely visit from my little nephews yesterday. They're just back from a fortnight in Disney World, Florida! I haven't seen them since New Year and I've missed them sooo much. Anyway, I didn't have time for photos yesterday, but managed today. I didn't think I'd get out as it was bright and sunny one minute then torrential rain the next, which turned to big hailstones, it was white outside! However it cleared up later.

Wearing: Bright coral devore style dress Peacocks, black tights and black cardi and my new hair colour (horrid pic!).
Fit: Very small made, I had to go up a size. 5 1/2" chunky heel and 1 3/4" platform.
Comfort: They are not going to be for everyone, but they are reasonably easy to walk in-once you get used to the rocking effect and the heel is very stable. I had issues with all the grit outside getting stuck in the soles and making me wobble though!

Day Three Hundred & Seventy Six - Perky Pink

Shoes: Pink floral and metallic bow knee high boots Irregular Choice

Yesterday I decided to venture into the 'IC shoe closet' again! I'm actually despairing a little of how untidy my room is right now-I just keep shifting things around as there's nothing I want to get rid of or throw out. So I decided to put back the couple of pairs I've worn recently and swap them for a few other pairs which will sit out in my room until I brave the move another time! In my defence I have tidied up a little in front of the wardrobe, partly because I got buried under an avalanche of shoe boxes, handbags and carrier bags when I started to mess with the pile! I think last time you saw these boots I used a side view, so here is how they look from the front.

Wearing: Ruby Rocks black patterned dress, Primark black leggings and waterfall cardi. Fit: True to size, I bought a size up for leg room and because they were the only size left! Full length zip. Almost 4" carved perspex heel.
Comfort: Really easy to walk in, lined with poodle print leather which may rub after a while.
