Day 1259 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Poker Joker
Shoes: Poker Joker | Irregular Choice

My only shoe buy from the IC summer sale and my third variation of this style (4th of the heel).  Last week, I shared the very beautiful Ava's Aviary birdcage heels from several years back.  The dice heel was first introduced in August 2015, with Poker Joker in two colourways (I bought the sequins ones).  Then three sequins PJ's launched as part of the Bring Back collections in 2021, with a further two pairs released earlier this year.  You may remember I bought a pair, but I was holding out for these ones to go into the sale.

Day 1257 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Quartz Order
Shoes: Quartz Order (camo) | Irregular Choice

Apologies for the late post and no-show last week, I've been struggling after an optician's appointment. As it's been years, I'm not accustomed to being out of the house, so I'm absolutely exhausted. Last time, I showed you my bargain Garden Gala and today, I have another too-good-to-resist purchase from Unrulyu a while back.

Day 1254 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Merrie Melodies Looney Tunes
Shoes: Merrie Melodies | Irregular Choice (Looney Tunes)

Today I have the second part of my Looney Tunes haul from Irregular Choice after the Saturday Morning ankle boots last week.  Unlike those, the style today wasn't an IC exclusive, so is available from most stockists and also came in a darker colourway.  The cloud and Tweety Pie portion of the heel is exactly the same as last time, though the platform, as I mentioned last week is mirrored gold.  As I said then, while I like the slightly reflective nature of it, I do think it looks a bit cheap.  You'll see I have one downward looking bird and one sitting up to attention.  I think both were a bit droopy on the boots.

Day 1252 - Shoesday Tuesday

Vivienne Westwood Vargas Elevated
Shoes: Vargas elevated | Vivienne Westwood

If I threw you a curveball last week with the (almost) flat Irregular Choice Booyah, then you'll feel much more at home with these high heels and big platforms.  When I got these shoes last month, they immediately went onto my favourites list, I absolutely love them.  They'd been on my radar, but I hadn't been keeping a close eye on them until the sales started.  Luckily for me, the place that had them the cheapest and still in my size, made further reductions just days later, so there was no hesitation, I bought them right away.  They were the last pair and have since gone in most sizes elsewhere, so I was very lucky.  I actually own these on Stardoll and wear them a lot there, which was what made me look them up again.  It always makes me weirdly satisfied when my virtual me and the real me own the same clothes!

Day 1251 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Booyah
Shoes: Booyah | Irregular Choice

I finally made it into the shoe room, emptied the overspill and photographed a few recent new pairs for you, so there's lots to look forward to in the coming weeks.  I thought I'd choose something very different (for me) today, after something a little more regular, Odette swan heels, last week.  These sandals/trainers/platforms/flatforms? launched last Spring/Summer and I liked them right away, even although they are far from my usual style.  I'm a sucker for fur, it must be that!

Day 1236 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Pixie Dust
Shoes: Pixie Dust | Irregular Choice

A right oldie for you today. These super high platforms debuted for AW13 with various uppers. Marble Moose, Toffee Splatter and Antonella, I've shown here before. Tic Tac Toe, I've never owned (they seriously grew on me, I wish I did have them) and I don't know why Pixie Dust haven't appeared here until now, as I've had them all this time. They also came in green, I don't think there was a big enough contrast between the two to justify owning both. MM however came in three very different colourways that I'd happily buy all of!

Day 1234 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Trixy gold unicorn heels
Shoes: Trixy (gold, black/multi) | Irregular Choice

Finally something launched at Irregular Choice that I like! We've been seeing some older styles brought back in new colourways (remember the Poker Joker dice boots I showed you a couple of months ago?) and last Friday was the turn of the unicorn court shoe, Trixy.  There were two options along with matching Magic Pony handbags.

Day 1228 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Pooch Perfect
Shoes: Pooch Perfect | Irregular Choice

These were another sale purchase recently, which I've had my eye on since they launched.  Remember the dog heeled Bougainvillea a couple of weeks back? They were from the same collection and if these boots had the doggy heel, they'd have been perfect for me.  The heel here is a little boring, but the shoe uppers weren't that exciting , so the combination of the two would've been perfect.

Day 1214 - Shoesday Tuesday

Irregular Choice Edina
Shoes: Edina | Irregular Choice

Although I bought these a couple of years ago, they are actually from Irregular Choice's AW12 collection, so quite an age now.  They feature this interesting layered, wooden heel, which is the only pair I have in this shape.  I miss these days, when higher, but still manageable, heel heights were in abundance.  I guess I'm in the minority as almost everything now is a mid heel height.

Day 1211 - Shoesday Tuesday

pink and lime green zebra patterned sequin boots
Shoes: Hot Stuff | Irregular Choice

These were my third pair of thigh high boots in this style from Irregular Choice.  They were part of the Halloween collection a couple of years ago.  As with previous styles (Satine and Finders Keepers), I worried about their flexibility, especially at the knee when sitting (in the wheelchair) and given that the uppers are entirely sequins (which tend to be stiffer), I only bought these when they were drastically reduced, as I wasn't sure I'd be able to wear them often.

Day 1206 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing black knit ankle boots with Eiffel Tower heel and Paris poodle tights
Shoes: Black Eiffel Tower heeled sock boots | Vetements

I had hoped to have something from my Irregular Choice Sanrio order to show you today, but unfortunately it's not arrived yet. I don't know if I'm keeping all I bought, the collection was quite big and making decisions quickly isn't something I'm good at. I like time to think!  I'd rather return something I didn't need, than regret not buying it in the first place and it selling out. I definitely splurged when it came to the bags and accessories, so I'd feel guilty if I kept all that. I got a few pairs of shoes, but I mostly fell in love with the trainers and boots, which I don't wear, so at least they were easy to discount. I've said it before, but it's really hard to justify shoes and bags to myself at the moment when I'm never leaving the house and it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon. I've completely lost all desire to go out and our town is just hoaching with mostly non-masked holiday makers, students and visitors. It would be stressful rather than enjoyable, going out in that.

Day 1205 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing jewelled T-bar shoes with acrylic seahorse detail and fishnet tights
Shoes: Hippokampos | Irregular Choice

Another old Irregular Choice sale buy I got a long time ago, but haven't shared yet.  These also came in green, which we all know I'd usually be drawn to, but I really loved the multi-coloured gems on the black pair. The other pair were just one colour. I also love the multi-coloured trim, edging the shoe and the strap, it's stunning in real life, such vivid colours and a reptile finish.  This shoe is just crazy embellished, they really threw everything at it, yet they're still pretty subdued compared to others in my collection.

Day 1204 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing fishnet tights and Dolce and Gabbana furry shoes
Shoes:  Furry leopard print courts | Dolce & Gabbana

Yay, I eventually bought myself some birthday shoes!  My b'day was back in May, but I hadn't seen anything at the time and I wasn't going to buy something just for the sake of my wee tradition.  I'd rather wait until something special appeared.  I'd actually seen these elsewhere, about three times the price I bought them for and even that would be significantly cheaper than the original retail price.  I've also seen them in black and white zebra stripes or a plain blush pink, but leopard was my favourite, so I was so excited to find them.

Day 1201 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing dalmatian print sandals with fluffy neon marabou trim
Shoes: Nicole marabou dalmatian | Sophia Webster

These were another of my birthday shoes from last year, but a pair I'm not intending keeping.  I spoke about it here, I do really think they are awesome, just not sure they are practical enough, even although I'm not known for my sensible shoes! I have to apologise again for the blunder last week...blogging a pair I'd only blogged 6 weeks previous.  My life is that mundane, I didn't even notice until a couple of days later!!  The words did feel familiar, but I had no inclination when editing the photos (idiot), but I just put it down to already reviewing them on PHP.  Wow, what a doofus, even my ever-forgetful Mum was making fun of me for this mistake!

Day 1199 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing Ursula sandals with fishnet socks
Shoes:  Elegant Evil | Irregular Choice

Last week Irregular Choice ran a sale on their Disney stock and although there wasn't much left in my size that I didn't already own, I've had my eye on these for a long time.  I bought both the Ariel globe heels on launch day, alongside accessories and some Belle things, so these had to go onto the wishlist for another time.  I think they're really different, certainly from the other Disney pieces I own and seeing them up close, I wasn't disappointed, they are every bit as wonderful as I expected them to be.

Day 1185 - Shoesday Tuesday

close up of legs and feet wearing pencil ankle boots with concept heel
Shoes: Chalk It Up | Irregular Choice

I knew I jinxed myself the other day in this post by saying I was really organised with blogging just now! I've been so distracted by other things these past couple of days that I'm hastily trying to piece this post together last minute. Anyway, these were another sale buy from Irregular Choice; I was trying to drastically limit my full-price buys last year because money was/is tight (I miss eBaying!), so I had a lot to buy when sale time came. That's actually reminded me that I still have to pay for these on Klarna! Anyway, I really liked these when they launched as part of the Fun & Games collection last year (not to be confused with the Gaming collection my last two posts came from). This collection was really fun; snakes and ladders, chess, the big wheel and then these pencil items. There's a bag, which I also have, a court shoe and then these boots.

Day 1184 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing wedge shoes with toy car theme and mesh socks
Shoes: Spaghetti Junction | Irregular Choice

Another week, another Irregular Choice sale buy!  Like High Score last time, these were from the Gaming collection for Summer last year.  They were also another IC exclusive colourway.  The other option was a bright rainbow finish, which I also liked, but something about the contrast between the black and white with green glitter really drew me in.  Again, their weight or lack of, really surprised me.  This is a super lightweight wedge.  They are a bit tricky to get into at first, with the circular part of the road.  I found just pushing my foot in slowly, bit by bit and pulling that circular part up little by little worked best, rather than trying to do it in one move.  The strapping is elasticated slightly on the inner side which I've photographed below (8th image, visible slit in the red strap).

Day 1183 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing patterned gaming tights with pinball themed wedge shoes
Shoes: High Score | Irregular Choice

The Irregular Choice sale came to a close this week, so I bought the final pieces I'd had on my wishlist (well the bits that were still in stock). Then I got the guilts, even although I've been coveting them since they launched last year! I was in two minds about whether or not to keep these ones, but after trying them on with these tights, I decided they were a keeper. Unfortunately the photos turned out quite dark and brightening them just made the tights look white (when they aren't) and I was getting that moiré thing going on too, so I've stalled on this post all day! However, here we are.

Day 1177 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing pink metallic ankle boots with checked jersey dress
Shoes: Anastasia | Irregular Choice

I went on the hunt for something to photograph today as I think I've shown all my most recent buys.  I got these in the January sales last year, they are from AW19.  They are really plain for me, but there's something about that simplicity that I'm really drawn to here.  They came in 3 different mirrored metallic shades and for once, I didn't buy the blue option!  I know, who am I?  If you're new here, I have more than a tendency to buy blue/green colourways over anything else!  However this very pale pink really appealed to me.   There's only little bits of black trim around the cuff and a bow across the front and even the bow is 'sensible' by IC standards.

Day 1171 - Shoesday Tuesday

LED light up boots in dark with rocket shaped heel
Shoes: Warp Speed | Irregular Choice

At the end of last month, the Irregular Choice 'Space Station' collection launched. A colourful range of footwear and accessories including the box/sole design from this season, a brand new concept heel and an original way of giving us lights. The boots I bought are Warp Speed (in black) and I fell in love at first sight with the design, as it reminded me of my old poodle ankle boots, a favourite of mine. These fit a little looser, with the flap not being quite as close to the leg and no option to wear them folded down, but still the overall shape is there and I'm loving it.
