Shoes: Navy polka-dot 'Aphrodite' Irregular Choice
This post from yesterday took longer than expected-I seemed to take a gazillion photos (way more than usual) and working my way through (editing) them took forever! Now I should probably warn you that if polka-dots aren't your thing, you're going to be severely 'offended' by this outfit. I didn't envisage wearing all these items but it sorta just came together and I thought why the hell not? I bought the shoes a month or so ago and the fit isn't that great-I considered returning them, then wondered if I could get over the issues and I think with time they'll feel somewhat comfier. The dress is another newbie and I have to admit to placing around 6 orders with Evans for their Clements Ribeiro dresses lately. I've returned 3 bag-loads of stuff and was a little exasperated with trying to find the right fit. I'm finding them very generous basically, to the point of 'dropping' 4 dress sizes with one (!) It makes life difficult when you're not sure which size to buy of what, hence the constant re-ordering and I'm still on the look-out for a couple more in smaller sizes but stock is extremely limited now they've all popped into the sale. This one was actually smaller than the rest; the 16 was too tight across the bust and this, the 18 is a much better fit, albeit a bit baggy around the hips and waist and the lengths of the dresses are definitely more suited to taller ladies (I wasn't sure if this was bordering on an unflattering midi-length although the addition of a belt hoiked it up a bit). Anyhoo-one piccy below I have a corsage in my hair (my hair was icky and I tested out several options before finally settling for the spotty heart) and I just loooove days when you get the perfect eyeliner flick. I usually go through phases of it looking crap, then looking great. I could've stared at it all day y'day though! Toodle pip, hope you have a good evening, I'm noticing weather warnings for rain tomorrow here (fabulous!).
Wearing: Lace and print '21' dress Swan Clements Ribeiro, polka dot heart fascinator Primark.
Fit: Tight across the foot, fine in length, just under 5" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: No major issues, the 'caged' toes might irritate and the tightness of the band across the foot would get sore after a while.

Day 686 - Nothing In The Sky Said Run For Cover
Shoes: Peach 'Take A Bow' Irregular Choice
Hello! This outfit was from...Thursday? Yeah, Thursday, I haven't been out since. Lack of motivation, bad weather and tonnes to do, all contributing factors to that! I wasn't completely sold on this outfit, I actually probably never feel 100% comfortable when it comes to wearing separates. The outfit didn't look too bad in real life, but looking at the pictures I think it comes across a little weird, like the skirt is too long or I just look a little swamped by the whole thing. Anyway as you'll notice it is actually a skort rather than skirt. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd wear hot-pants, so there you go. It's basically full shorts with a skirt over the top which is split down the centre front. If it's windy (which it was), the skirt blows open and you can see it's shorts underneath or I suppose depending on the way you sit, you'd notice, but otherwise you'd be unaware and just think it's an ordinary skirt. I doubt I'd ever wear it without tights, given that I'd rather my inner thighs were seen by as few people as possible! I couldn't find shoes to go, got a little frustrated then at the last minute spotted these. Again I'm not entirely sure I'd pick them to wear again, but hey-ho. Also my hair looked fan-freakin-tastic on Thursday and comes across as looking like s*** in these pics, what's up with that?!!
Wearing: Floral skort Kelly Brook at New Look, Barbie vest Miss Selfridge, tights, black vest (worn underneath) Primark, cardigan Matalan, belt taken from another dress.
Fit: True to size, just over 4" heel.
Comfort: No probs with these today.

Day 685 - We Were Never Meant For Do Or Die
Shoes: Green spot 'Johnson' Menbur
I thought I'd manage to get caught up on posts today, but haven't, never mind. So here's my outfit from Wednesday. I'd bought these tights last week and was desperate to involve them in an outfit, not sure I did them or the shoes justice here or maybe it's just that my camera wasn't cooperating. Fishnet and net covered satin shoes aren't the best of fabrics for a camera! As for the shoes, you'll maybe recall me wanting them aaaages ago and I finally bought them a few months back and haven't worn them until now. I added some shots below of the actual shoe seeing as I didn't think my foot shots were all that great. Oh and I'm loving wearing my MAC Viva Glam Nicki lipstick this week-don't know why I was so afraid of it, just being bold and wearing it as bright as possible!
Wearing: Bird print dress Dorothy Perkins, alphabet fishnet tights House of Holland.
Fit: Slim fitting, heel just under 5".
Comfort: I felt very stable in them, this was my first outing though so I'm not sure how they'll perform for longer periods.

Day 684 - The Fields Are High And The Fruit Is Ripe
Shoes: Scribble 'Ablaze' ASOS
This was my outfit yesterday after I popped over to Dundee to go to Debenhams. I actually managed to talk myself out of several sale items in other places and just came home with my YSL foundation sample which was the point of the whole trip. Who knew I actually had willpower?! It was supposed to be pouring with rain, but I managed to miss it completely (phew) but had opted for a rather 'sensible' pair of shoes in preparation for it. It's quite difficult to dress for all weathers, I guess layering is key and I've never been very good at that. Again I'm taken aback with the mayhem these shoes cause, I had two old ladies quite literally pawing at my shoes and rings (em, give me my hand back please!) in the bus shelter which seemed to amuse them and scare me slightly! Anyhoo, I am in the middle of trying to write at least 5 posts (at various stages) all at once which is rather difficult, so I best get on. Hope you're managing to stay dry in this strange summer...!
Wearing: Floral dress Red Herring and hair clips both Debenhams, horse and unicorn rings Miss Selfridge, blue stone ring my Granny's, turquoise ring, stirrup leggings and cardigan all Primark, bag River Island.
Fit: True to size, lace-up, 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Comfortable and easy to walk in, the tops can rub after a long period.
