Shoes: Grey brocade thigh high 'Teena' boots River Island
I really must apologise for the quality or lack of, of photos in these posts. I must get a new camera, but until then it's the mobile I'm afraid. I have never worn these boots outside before, mainly because they're a bit of a hassle to get on. The zip goes from top to bottom up the back (even over your heel) and although they feature a large elasticated section and split on the opposite side, I've always found them quite snug. Yesterday though, I thought I'd give them a try and zipped them up in one go, first time! If anything, they are now quite roomy. It's really strange because my weight has stayed the same for a month or two now, yet I'm really starting to feel thinner and noticing a difference in my clothes...and boots, it's great! I still have a long way to go to get back to what I used to be before my illness, but I'm in no hurry considering I've gained the weight over the last 10 years. Anyway about the rest of the outfit...not sure if I should've kept it a little more simple considering the style and pattern on the boots. I think I just got so excited that they fitted and chucked on the first dress I could see, that would sit above the boots! I'm loving that I'm getting to wear ridiculous high heels in the middle of winter by the way-I could forgive the strong winds if they're a replacement for ice, snow and slush!
Wearing: Yellow seagull dress Fearne Cotton at Very, hat, cardigan and tights all Primark.
Fit: True to size, elasticated section and full length zip. 5" heel and 1" platform.
Comfort: A little rigid at first (especially when sitting or walking up/down stairs) but after 10 minutes or so, they get a little more flexible. No other issues.

Day 556 - All Fur'd Up
Shoes: Brown suede and fur ankle boots 'Pier' L.A.M.B.
I'm still running a day behind and boy did I wear cool boots today, not that these aren't. My LAMB booties make their TSGD debut (as also owned by Nicki Minaj) and I was really surprised by how comfortable and easy they were to walk in, because the heel is very slender. Every time I wear this dress, I don't quite know what to do with the middle section. It's supposed to be ruched, but I'm not sure how it supposed to look, as the rest of the dress is already quite big on me and this just emphasises that even more, there's absolute oodles of room in the waist. A wide belt creates strange bulges underneath but a slim one isn't much better as you can see. Then I couldn't decide how to wear my hat...with a little bit of hair sticking out or all tucked in? Given that it was mega windy (again), the only option was "all in" (although I think I prefer the hair one), to minimise the chances of it blowing right off my head, but I've shown it both ways and all cosied up with my coat on!
Wearing: Print dress ASOS, mustard tights and fur hat Primark, tan belt taken from another dress, fur trim coat Boutique at M&Co.
Fit: 5 3/8" heel and 1 1/2" platform, lace-up, true to size (these are a US7.5)
Comfort: Surprisingly these were very easy to walk in and there were no issues of discomfort.

Day 555 - Gone With The Wind
Shoes: Black and white 'Teeze 20' Bordello
Yesterday was storm number...whatever, I'm losing count, we're getting them that frequently. Why we didn't get a warning about this one like 'Hurricane Bawbag' I don't know, because it was even worse than that and did eventually get the highest, red alert. I was supposed to be going to Dundee but the bridge was closed and I decided I wouldn't leave the house at all. Then by afternoon it had calmed somewhat and I decided to brave it. I've said before I find extreme weather rather exciting, but there was nothing much to see or feel when I went out for my walk (I was rather disappointed). The news footage of that ferry in the water (sailing along on it's side practically...boke), the industrial wheelie bin flying down the street like a paper cup and the Forth Road bridge floating up and down in the wind (double boke) were unbelievable. Sadly a lot of homes are still without power or badly damaged and two men were killed-that side of things, I don't like. The wind is getting up again today and apparently there are more gales predicted for tonight.
Wearing: Black jersey dress, cardigan and leggings all Primark, fur trim socks Flirt at ASOS.
Fit: You need to size up on all Bordello Teeze. These are a US8. Inside zip. 6" heel and just over 1 1/2" platform.
Comfort: They hit my ankle bone in an awkward place and are a very 'hard' shoe, so not the most comfortable but easy to walk in.

Day 554 - Roadkill
Shoes: Brown fur 'The Beast' Irregular Choice
Yesterday was my first venture outdoors since Christmas. It was freeeeezing! You'll possibly recall me going on about needing a new winter coat and this one is so beautiful, even if it did cost 3x as much as I wanted to pay for one. It's really good quality though, slightly too big which is a pity but they didn't have a smaller size. It has a huge fluffy fur collar and cuffs, then I wore these boots and my wee fur hat too, maybe overkill or roadkill (it's all fake I assure you), but it was necessary on such a cold day. I've lost my little corner for taking shoe photos, so had to do an 'up in the air' shot (how tragic is it, that I have zero space for taking pics in my room?), I also kinda forgot that I didn't take outfit shots until I had my coat on and for some reason I can't quite recreate the close-up, full length mirror shot I managed the other day.
Wearing: Navy spot dress with peter pan collar, swallow cardigan both Dorothy Perkins, navy leggings and fur hat Primark, fur trim coat M&Co Boutique.
Fit: True to size, a little big in the heel (not as much as Long(er) Lashes etc though). Slip on, adjustable buckle on strap. Heel 4 3/4" and platform 1 3/4".
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 553 - Happy New Year
Shoes: Green glitter 'Hysteric' ASOS
Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been unwell this past week and haven't had the energy to go out or get dressed since Christmas day. I've been huddled up in a warm, fluffy blanket watching cheesy films which always seem to involve dogs, New York and Christmas...why is that? Anyway, yesterday I did get dressed, although didn't go anywhere-it was just so nice to wear makeup and sparkly shoes though. My sister and her family came to visit and it was mayhem as usual, but lovely to see them all. I decided this was my last chance for a very festive outfit and chose this gorgeous red lace dress, which turned out to be be much nicer in person than I anticipated from the preview pics. The lace feels very delicate and this is actually a size smaller than I normally wear in Pearl Lowe but fits me perfectly. I tried to get some full length shots again, but they didn't turn out as well as last time. I'm purely using my mobile for taking pics right now, so the quality isn't that great unfortunately. These green glitter platforms were supposed to be my Christmas shoes, but then I bought the Topshop pairs and wore them instead. I hope you've all survived Hogmanay and are looking forward to the year ahead.
Wearing: Red lace dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black tights Primark, fox, frog and bunny rings Miss Selfridge, duck ring Topshop, earrings Mawi, belt gift.
Fit: True to size, adjustable buckle on strap, 1 1/4" platform and 5 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Didn't wear them outside, but didn't have any issues with them.
