The Shoe Girl Styles It: Vivienne Westwood Red Mary-Jane 3
Can you cast your mind back a few weeks (I know, terrible blogger) to the red patent shoes I styled? I've already shown you my high-street and plus size looks, so this is the high end one. I've just been so pushed for time lately, that I haven't had the chance to keep up TSGSI. I wasn't 100% happy with the look I chose anyway, so the set got abandoned, until I had time to tweak it. I was initially going for my go-to nautical vibe, which I can't resist with shiny red shoes (because it always looks stunning), but this is a slightly different take on it.
The shoes are Vivienne Westwood red mary janes £350 and I teamed them with this Whistles skirt. Instead of going for stripes, I went for checks and big and bold at that! After a lot of playing around (contrasting striped tops mostly), I settled with wearing it with this Kenzo t-shirt, with an Eiffel Tower print. I just love this Dolce & Gabbana new season bag. With the skirt print so bold, you can definitely get away with the contrasting vertical stripes in the bag and I adore the cross-stitch flower in red on the flap. I finished the look with these Valentino sunglasses, which are hugely reduced. What do you think, do you like this look?
Worn with: Kenzo 'The Eiffel Dadge' t-shirt £85, Whistles navy gingham skirt £110, Dolce & Gabbana stripe rose Sicily bag £1700 and Valentino 'Rockstud' tortoiseshell sunglasses £49.99 (sale).
