Day 1060 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Irregular Choice Alice In Wonderland One Lump Or Two?

Apologies that this is a day late. Yesterday was pretty hectic, then the photo editor I use, went down, so I couldn't do anything until today. If you are still on the lookout for some Irregular Choice Alice In Wonderland shoes, I compiled a list of shops still with stock, all over the world and some helpful tips on how to stalk! I spent all of today shooting my Alice pairs that arrived yesterday, so hopefully those posts will go up over the next few days.
In the meantime, I have my first pair, on my feet and I've got lots to say about the sizing of all of these, firstly that I guessed well! The shoedoo sense I spoke about mostly worked here. I thought these particular shoes looked hard and small. They have a very curved shape, so it's difficult to get your foot in and along. My only concern sizing up, was that they might be so heavy that they slip off my heel if they are slightly too big. Well the shoe is indeed very heavy. One of the heaviest character heels I'd say. Part of that will be the platform as well as the heel. Where the vamp cuts across my foot (on the bony bit), they are very tight (even in the bigger size), but that's good because there's no question of slipping out of these. I could've probably at a push, slipped my heel out if they didn't fit so snugly at the front, but there's very little wiggle room. I doubt I'd have even gotten into the 5, so I'm very pleased with the size up. The heel didn't feel particularly high to me (I'm actually quite surprised at it's measurements), but the chunky platform helps a lot. I've only quickly tried them on, but wasn't aware of my feet clunking the teapots together when walking. They don't stick out (the back or sides) as much as I first thought. I would say I noticed more with the arms of the dinosaur heels and R2D2. There's loads of details on these, which you'll see better in my close-up photos once I publish those. What do you think of these, like them on the foot?

Fit: 5 1/4" heel and 1" platform. I found the size up tight across the front of the foot, so would definitely recommend sizing up.
Comfort: Nice and cushioned inside, very heavy to lift but don't foresee any issues with the chunky heels hitting each other.

  2. They do have some pretty little details (the cards etc) but when I tried these on I thought they were just too heavy.

    1. They are VERY heavy! I've heard some people are finding them a bit clompy to walk in.

    1. I haven't worn mine for long periods yet, but I'm so glad I sized up because they are still really tight.
