Day 683 - It's So Out Of Line To Try To Turn Back Time

Shoes: Blue tartan 'Heather' Irregular Choice

Another day where I thankfully managed to escape the rain, it's been quite pleasant to get a few half-way decent, dry days!  This is the dress I picked up in the River Island sale the other day.  I didn't expect it to fit given that it was only a 16, but it's very comfortable and was only a tenner, bargain! These shoes I have wanted for sooo long and finally snagged them on eBay.  The colours are just perfect for this dress too, which was rather freaky.

Wearing: Yellow floral sundress River Island, leggings Primark, cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, turquoise hair bows H&M, bunny bow Yama Yama Pretty Mama, flower clips Debenhams.
Fit: Slightly roomy in my regular size. 4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 682 - Those Words Of Yours Ain't Working Anymore

Shoes: Black peep toes with metal heel Marios Schwab for Scorah Pattullo

Quick post and a quick outfit today. These shoes were sitting out after a little rearranging yesterday. I fancied a bright outfit though, so paired it with this dress. I'm sure I mentioned last time how much I adore the colours in this, it's beautiful. I also always try and take as many pictures as possible of these heels, because they are so fantastic, a wee metal structure!

Wearing: Tropical floral dip hem dress Red Herring at Debenhams, black leggings Primark, cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, belt taken from another dress, scarf M&Co.
Fit: True to size, quite narrow at toe, 4 1/4" fabulous metal heel.
Comfort: Easy to walk in but squish your toes a little.

Day 681 - I'll Have You Spending All You Got

Shoes: Green velvet 'Coralina' Messeca

The forecast was rain all day today, so I was pleasantly surprised that it remained dry and I got out for a wee bit of fresh air.  This dress is rather odd, not sure if it's just mine or they're all like this, but the belt loops are about an inch below the armholes.  Who has a waist up at the top of their arms?  My boobs are there (!) so there's no way I can use the loops, I'll just ignore them and tie the belt around my 'real' waist.  Evans when it comes to maxi-dresses, certainly provide for those in the petite end of things.  I've noticed this with other dresses from there, that they stop off the ground, almost ankle length on me and I'm no giant.  Tall girls may struggle.  Overall the dress felt quite flattering, although I'm not convinced sleeves do much for in general!  They usually make me look or feel a bit bigger, although I ended up popping a cardi on to go out, so I don't suppose it matters.

Wearing:  'Nancy' maxi-dress Swan by Clements Ribeiro for Evans, shoe scarf gift, earrings Claire's.
Fit:  Mine are a US7.5 and I have a little room in length but otherwise true to size.  5 1/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform.  Back zip fastening.
Comfort:  No issues with these and easy to walk in.

Day 680 - I’m Just Too Far From Where You Are

Shoes: Beige pom pom 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

Hello chickies!  I popped out for a spot of shopping today without trying to spend too much money (rather difficult).  I was quite restrained and managed to get a pressie for my friend (which was the whole point of going), a dress in the River Island sale for £10, Primark jammies at £8, some sale hair-clips for £2.50 along with a couple of cute pairs of Floozie pants in the sale and Henry Holland tights reduced to £4! I also used £15 of my Beauty Club points in Debenhams for a Guerlain gloss, so it only cost £6 and she threw in some perfume samples! Plus I was matched for the new YSL foundation, which I'm sooo excited about, although I have to go back for my sample because they'd run out.  There was no rain today which seemed like heaven after the crap weather we've had lately.  Funny story though while waiting in the queue in Primark, I felt something at my feet.  This girl (about 11) was trying to drag her brother away as he was sitting on the floor playing with my pom poms!

Wearing:  Key patterned dress H by Henry Holland, swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, leggings Primark, shoe scarf gift, Mr Fox brooch Claire's, unicorn ring Red Herring at Debenhams, fox rings Miss Selfridge, bag Irregular Choice.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 679 - Peebe, Peebe, Who's Peabo Bryson?

Shoes: Alphabet and number 'Wrap Me Up' Heatherette/Irregular Choice

I'd always quite fancied these shoes but wasn't sure they were particularly flattering when on the foot, from pictures I'd seen. They recently came up on eBay (rather cheap), so I decided to get them and see what I could do with them (not one to let an ugly shoe get the better of me!). They came with blue straps above and below the purple one which thread through the central yellow t-bar and each ties with yellow fabric at the back. I toyed with the idea of completely removing the yellow t-bar (cutting it off) and therefore disposing of all other straps. It seemed a bit drastic right away, so I tried some other things first. The lowest strap, doesn't sit right, it felt like it should go under the foot or under the shoe given the position it was in. While the top strap wasn't as awkward, it felt like it was too big around my calf (and wouldn't go any tighter) and it just kinda flopped over the middle strap, which by the way fitted perfectly. So I took out top and bottom, left the middle, folded down the top yellow loop and played around with the tie (threading it through the loop at the heel) until I was happy with it. I may even still cut the yellow ties shorter, but I was quite happy with the finished article. The t-bar didn't drastically gape nor did the top loop pop out, so it was fine.

Wearing:  Birdcage maxi dress Ruby Rocks, cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, sunglasses Primark.
Fit:  These are a half size larger and fit fine.  4 1/2" heel.
Comfort:  No issues with these.
