Irregular Choice Festive Footwear: Day 14

I have quite a lot to get through today, so I'll try not to witter on too much. I shared our very first Irregular Choice Christmas scarf yesterday, from the new collection, if you missed that. My Pink Haired Princess, Festive Beauty blog will be up shortly (cats, if that entices you...) and as always, check the bottom of the post for a wee treat.
So these shoes, were my third pair of Santa heels. Santa's Ninth launched in 2016, the year after the fluffy Rudy I showed you the other day. Now, for some reason that I can't remember, I don't seem to have shared a proper in-depth review of these on Pink Haired Princess. I do remember they launched at the same time as the squirrel heels and I did fit reviews here for all of those (3 squirrels and these heels). Looking back folders, the spinning Cinderella heels (which were delayed and launched after the rest of the collection) also came around the same time, so perhaps I was busy with all that and never got round to it. I have the photos stored...but you'd be amazed at the amount of those you've never seen! So, I have several batches to share today. Let's start with a comparison with Rudy Rudolph.
Remember I bought those in the size up and since learned that my usual 5/38 would be fine, so Santa's Ninth do look smaller that way. SN have darker brown uppers, made from a lurex type fabric with gold threading that feels quite rough to touch. The antlers are very different with them being much skinnier on SN and stitched down onto the side of the shoe. It's only that one small twiggy bit that is 'loose'. sitting up on the foot  In that sense, they're a little trickier to get into, as you have to get your foot under and often have to fix that loose one from folding under. The fact R are quite big on me means my foot easily slides in anyway, but I really think these shorter, less spindly antlers (they're more like a tongue on a trainer or shoe) that are only fixed at the base, are easier to wear. I think SN look more realistic  and prettier though!
The other big difference is the nose. Remember it was red metallic on R, well it flashes on SN or "glows", I should get my festive terminology right! It's activated by walking and came before rechargeable USB variations, so there's no on/off switch or different settings. If I could link you to this GIF I made at the time, I can't find where I stored it on my computer or even how to upload it to this blog post as a moving image, so rather than waste more time, it should work on that link (if not, try this).  The eyes on SN are embroidered, you had those googly toy eyes on R.
The Santa heels are exactly the same throughout and this is one of the smallest heel bases for a character (if not, the smallest now that I think of it).  Most characters take on a wedge like appearance, but the Santa/gnome is a definite separate heel.
I've definitely worn SN more than R, but that's mostly down to the other pair being too big. I found a fair few outfit shots, but have picked out a couple to show you them from different angles. Don't they make my feet look tiny?
