Ach, this set has been driving me nutty this week and I'm still not totally sold on it, but let me know what you think. The shoes, oh the shoes. I went to buy these yesterday along with the Collectif mermaid dress I've been lusting after and both were gone in my size. These shoes haven't been out a week and already there's only size 4 and 8 left. Whaaaat!
They are Iron Fist Care Bears Share Bear platforms £53.99. So my final outfit wasn't finalised and probably that deal with the shoes put me in a bad mood and I've gone back and forth trying to perfect this look. Usually my high-street set is the easier one, as there's so much choice, unlike plus size, where I'm constantly looking for things that don't exist. I wanted the coordinating Care Bear leggings to be in it and it seems I falter with patterned leggings. More so in a Polyvore set than real life I think. I don't do leggings as trousers, the top needs to be long enough to cover the top of the leggings, but anything I picked looked naff. I somewhat like this grey shirt dress, which has the advantage of a sheer bottom half, side splits (can't see how far up they go) and the option of unbuttoning as much of the lower section as you like. Why? To show off the fabulous leggings of course. There's ample opportunity with this dress, for the leggings to still play an important part. I'm not sure I'd keep that belt and I'd unbutton a few of the top buttons too. I think it could kinda work. I finished with this grey fringed sale bag (bar-gain), because I was frankly shattered after that! Sometimes I procrastinate or over-think things and it's vicious cycle that makes me not want to post, when I'm not 100% happy with my outfit. What do you think, is it really that bad?
