Day 1027 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing green satin Miu Miu courts with silver ankle ties
Shoes:  Miu Miu green satin courts

Last week the shoe Gods were shining on me and I added a few more pairs to my collection. I like to be a little extravagant when my parents aren't here to catch me with parcels. Seems a shame to waste such an opportunity! You know that way when you see something and want it, then it becomes the only thing you can think about? Well I got like that with these shoes (very quickly) and yet they are very plain for me. You may recognise them though, as I have them in pink (with gold ties) and wear those often. I bought them from Yoox years ago for a really decent price but at one point even considered selling them to make way for fancier styles. This was before I'd worn them. Once I put them on, I just fell in love with them. I've developed a 'thing' for satin shoes, which definitely stemmed from this pair and they are such a vivid colour they always make an impact, even if they aren't patterned or fancy. Sometimes I change them up (removing the straps, adding shoe clips) but there are times I'm in need of and thankful for a simple, classic court.
So I've kept in the back of my mind that if I ever stumble upon another colour (bearing in mind these date back to SS08) they might be worth snapping up. This emerald green pair popped up, funnily enough on Yoox again. They were probably more than twice the price I paid for the originals and certainly more than I was willing to pay. So I kept an eye on them (as usual there was literally one pair left in my size) and I did have a 20% off code floating around in my inbox, which had me tempted. Then an email came through regarding a 30% off promotion and I checked to see if these were included and amazingly I could use my 20% off code too. Obviously, I was much happier at that price, even if it was more than I paid for the pink. The rich green is just beautiful, I could stroke and admire them all day! This colour have since sold out, but they do come in black (also with silver ties) if you're interested. I'm planning a haul post of these and some other things I got (maybe Prada, shhh!!) on Pink Haired Princess later in the week, so I won't show you any product shots just now. You are getting a sneaky look at my new shoe-room in the background though, whoop! Do you like these, do you own any satin shoes or are they a little too 'bridesmaidy'?

Fit: 4 1/2" heel.  True to size, mine are a 38.5 (as are my pink) a half size larger and fit fine.
Comfort:  No issues with these. side view of high heeled green satin Miu Miu court shoes with ankle tiesclose up of feet in green satin shoes with silver ankle ties

    1. It was very lucky because it was running out and I could use it on 3 orders and hadn't used it at all yet. Satin shoes do always make me think 'wedding' shoes.

  3. They are a lovely color and I love the shape of the shoe but I don't like satin shoes, purely because anytime I've attempted to wear satin shoes in the past it has always rained :(((

  4. They are simply amazing and in pink with golden as well! This green is beautiful and yes, sometimes a traditional court is good, why not! True, hide the parcels if people, even parents, don't like to know you got more shoes... a well known feeling :) But I understand when you say when you see something... it has to be yours after some time! Well done, these ones are amazing!
