Hello! It's been a while since I've had time for The Shoe Girl Styles It and indeed any blog post really! Such is the way over Christmas and New Year and don't you just hate that inbetweeny period? Like I have no idea what day it is, what time it is, what I should be doing...! I'm one of those people that once Christmas day itself is over, is keen to get back into my regular daily routine and eat normal food again too! Anyway here we go styling these shoes. If you are new to TSGSI or have forgotten the routine in it's absence, then I pick a pair of shoes and make 3 outfits throughout the week for them. One is high street, one is high end and the other is plus size. I usually try and mix up the looks to give as much inspo as possible. So today, I have my plus size outfit for you.

Day 1097 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Take A Chance Irregular Choice 

Hello, just a quick-ish post for you today as I've been feeling unwell this week. You've seen these shoes once before (here), but I wore them for real last week and thought you'd be interested in seeing how I styled them. They were released after the initial launch of dice heels at Schuh and Irregular Choice and as I'd already bought the Poker Joker boots, I couldn't afford these too. I'm not sure if I'd have gone for these over the boots if they'd both been available at once, it would've been a hard choice. You might recall I managed to get a pair in my size when I had saved for them and there were very few pairs left. My usual size 5/38 were insanely small though and I ended up having to return them and by then they'd gone completely and no store in the country had any left, so I wasn't sure I'd ever get them. Obviously seeing them on my feet now, you know that did happen and having worn them for a couple of hours, I can say without a doubt you need to size up in these.

Shoes: Irregular Choice Snuggle Bunnie 

Hello lovelies, I'm feeling a bit stressed this week. This time of year usually is a bit frantic, what with present buying and more going on in general, but I just can't escape that feeling of there not being enough hours in the day to do everything I need to do. The amount I carry over each day on my to-do list is ridiculous! I felt so satisfied last week, rattling through all those Shoesday posts, but that feeling was short-lived. Hey ho, hope your week is faring better. Today I have another new season style to show you, Snuggle Bunnie. I wanted these from the get-go, for sure. I stalked them so bad until I had funds for them (or rather got to the point I was worried they were going to go and buckled and bought them). The only thing that slightly concerned me was the heel. It's a little lower than I'd usually go for and I say that having bought several lower (for me) styles over the past couple of years. I find I'm liking having a choice of heel heights and I've said this to you before, but the super high heels are appealing to me less these days. That said, I am finding these just a touch too low. An extra centimetre or two would make all the difference to me. Of course I'm being very choosy and actually in every other way these shoes are perfect.

Shoes: Irregular Choice Santa's Ninth 

Hello, today is Sunday, the final day of my extra Shoesday Tuesday posts this week. Today I bring you the wonderful new Santa heel for 2016. You may remember a few years ago I bought Dreamy, the very first Santa shaped heel by Irregular Choice. I'd loved the gnome heel which had come out earlier that year, so the festive version ended up becoming one of my most worn shoes! Last year, the Santa heel returned, this time with furry reindeer uppers, complete with metallic antlers and googly eyes. Last Friday the newer variation launched and I'll admit I felt really guilty contemplating buying them when they were so similar to the year before. Now I've got them in my hands though, I can see a lot of differences between the two and besides that, I fell head over heels for them, so there's no way I'm returning them!

Shoes: Irregular Choice Secret Squirrel 

I'm back again for another squirrel instalment! How are you enjoying the daily Shoesday posts so far? These are the final squirrel heels I tried, so far you've seen Furry O Nutty which I'm keeping and Nibbles McNutty that I'm returning. This pair, Secret Squirrel, I really want to keep too, even although I told myself I could only have one. I knew it would be a hard decision. They are indeed another green pair, but once more completely different in style and the shade of green.

Shoes: Irregular Choice Furry O Nutty 

Hello lovelies. Yes, it's not Tuesday, but I'm bringing you Shoesday styles all week long. "Get in", as my nephew would say! These are the second squirrel heels I have to show you, Nibbles McNutty from yesterday are here. This pair are called Furry O Nutty. Like seriously, can we talk about how brilliant these names are? I want them for that alone, without even seeing the shoe! Furry are unlike anything else in my collection, so definite keepers for me (my family were pretty adamant about it tbh). That's not to say I haven't seen something like them before. I'm going to put a photo up on Instagram later, it'll make you chuckle, but I basically rocked this style in 1984. As slippers of course, not shoes! Don't they remind you of baffies? I'm sure my Granny had very similar ones to these, minus the squirrel heel obviously!

Day 1092 - Shoesday Tuesday (Extra)

Shoes: Irregular Choice Nibbles McNutty 

Hello, hello. I'm so excited that I've managed to blog three days in a row! Shoesday Tuesday is my favourite type of blog post because I used to love my regular OOTD/SOTD posts, so now I'm no longer able for that, this is the substitute. So yeah, I'm pretty excited to be revealing a new pair of shoes to you on a daily basis. I still have plenty more posts to start off next year and the remainder of this one, so no worries about using them all up here. Ok, so squirrels are the latest character heel instalment from Irregular Choice. As much as I love to see new interpretations of classic characters, it's always completely thrilling to see brand new animals or people. The squirrels are reasonably low, more along the lines of lambs, pandas, flamingo than the deer or bunnies and unicorns and so there's no platform on any of the 8 available colourways. There's three different styles and I bought one from each on Friday and somehow managed to pick the green colourway in each style! Well if it ain't broke...! I'm not keeping them all, I just couldn't decide online and wanted to see them in person.

Shoes:  Irregular Choice Sparkling Slipper (Cinderella) 

I didn't want to say anything yesterday, until I knew it was achievable, but I'm aiming to bring you Shoesday posts every day this week! I'm still dealing with the Photobucket/image hosting issue, so am trying to do an hour of that a day (re-uploading all of those photos). It's slow going (there's no way an hour a day will get it finished by August, but it's all the time I have right now) and monotonous especially as I'm just covering old ground and constantly uploading and re-uploading the same photos. So I've had to pause The Shoe Girl Styles It posts for now as they are just too time consuming to manage every week, so I figured I'd treat you elsewhere! Plus, I have tonnes of shoes to get through and it'll literally be Christmas before I finish Cinderella and show you the new squirrel and Santa heels. So I had a mass try-on yesterday, photographing them all, which was the hard (physical) part, so hopefully I'll manage to post them all this week for you. There's a lot to talk about regarding sizing on those new ones, so I wanted to do it while they were current.

Apologies this is almost a week late, I wrote about my brief hiatus over on Pink Haired Princess earlier tonight, so that should explain my absence.  I've been desperate to show you these shoes too, so I was getting really agitated having to wait!! I had a feeling these would be the pair I'd really like (before release) but both Call Me Cinders and Home Before 12 (metallic pink with gold glitter) had been delayed and were released a couple of weeks after the initial Cinderella collection, so there was a bit of a wait.

Shoes: Irregular Choice Gracious Dreamer 

Hello, I have my second pair of Cinderella shoes for you today and quite a lot to discuss. So before I start, I have to say these are not my preferred choice of colour, I only bought these when my silver 5's turned up and were too big for me, but I figured I might as well photograph them for you. The silver had since sold out and so instead I bought the size down in the gold, just to see if they'd fit and if so, I'd have to keep searching for the silver in the size down. Let it be said, this is the first time I've ever worn size 4 in Irregular Choice (and I can only think of one other pair of shoes in my adult life from any brand, that were a 4) so this is unheard of for me really. The 5's are massive all over. I can almost get my whole finger down the back at the heel and my Mum claims her entire hand can fit in the front! The vamp is low cut and scalloped, which kind of adds to the gaping to be honest. The shoe is also very hard and covered in glitter, so not the most pliable (?) or fluid with your foot (almost works against my foot shape), so there is considerable gaping all around the shoe.

Hello, how are you today? Last week wasn't a particularly good week, so no Shoesday Tuesday or TSGSI posts, but today I have my new Cinderella shoes. They launched on Friday and I placed a couple of orders (3 styles) with different places (as one pair had gone by the time I got to the front of the virtual queue). So I had two pairs arrive on Saturday (gotta love the £1 next day delivery with Schuh) and then I placed another order as I was a bit unsure of sizing on the pairs I received. One of those (in the size I needed) wasn't available for next day delivery, so they came today, but the other arrived on Sunday. My IC order was dispatched yesterday so should be here tomorrow.

Shoes: Blue Carni Val Irregular Choice

Hello, how are you all today? Another outfit from the "archives" this week. Well actually this one was just in August, so not too long ago. I had a trip to....you guessed it, the doctor! This might've been to discuss the blood test results and decide what to do next.  No idea really, these appointments are beginning to blur. Anyway, I was feeling rather inspired this day and was like "I'm just going to go for it and wear something a little off-beat, because I can". You've seen this Collectif skirt before. It's a deeper turquoise than it photographs and the black spots are flocked. It's really high waisted (and came with detachable braces which I never wear), so essentially sits just under my bust and I was in a bit of a quandary as to what to do on top. Usually I'd tuck the top in (even though it makes me look booby), but as I was wearing this cardi, it didn't feel right. The cardigan is a little cropped, so it didn't cover the lower waist seam of the skirt, but I don't think that mattered. Then the shoes, oh the shoes.

Oh what a day! I've been tearing my hair out since the image hosting website I use, went down last night. If you've been on the blog since, you'll have been rather confused by the fact there was broken image links instead of photos. It's been a total nightmare and there was nothing I could do (other than send off a few stern emails). I'm truly P'd off by the "sorry for the inconvenience" replies. Err, my whole blog was down, that's a little bit more than an inconvenience. Anyway, it's back up (for now) and I'm running around like a dafty trying to finish all the blog posts I had set-up for today and yesterday and praying that overnight it remains there, so I can get more done tomorrow. I'm starting my trio of outfits with my high-street set.

Now that I've shown you all my Alice shoes, it's time for an oldish OOTD post! I've just checked back my photo albums and these images were taken around 4 months ago. They might seem a little familiar, because I shared some photos on my Instagram and Facebook at the time. As you know, I don't get out much these days, but I believe I was going for blood tests at the hospital this day (exciting stuff). I'm noting my tactic of wearing something to distract me from the needle! I ended up bruised after this one actually, probably because the tourniquet was on for half a day. Honestly, it took forever as she tried (in vain!) to find a vein (not happening) and in the end just went in blind. I was probably asleep from boredom by this point. The more often they struggle with my veins, the more anxious I'm becoming about blood tests. I like to know they are going straight in, confidently and not dithering about, wiggling the needle or taking it out and trying again, just do it already!

Shoes: Irregular Choice Alice blue My Cup Of Tea 

It's been a bit of a hectic week, so Shoesday is a little later than usual. I really wanted to continue with my final pair of Alice (from the 2nd collection) though. You're probably aware that I initially bought these in the size up and the pink in my regular size. After trying both, I decided I wanted to keep the green, but in the smaller size, typical! I didn't really have the funds at the time, so I've been waiting to re-purchase them and in that time I did toy with the idea of not bothering at all. I've spoken about how much I loved the colours on these but wished they had the glitter elements from the pink pair, so that coupled with the fact I already owned two other styles with this heel, I thought perhaps I could live without them.  I'm so glad I changed my mind and did go for them again, they are so very special and whenever I opened the box, I knew I'd made the right decision and would have been upset if I'd left them.  Taking these photos and looking through them, just cemented this fact.  They are so pretty and even the bow situation is bothering me less and less.

Last month I began working my way through my latest Alice buys for Shoesday Tuesday.  Today we have the final pair, only because I sent one back before I'd had the chance to photograph them (but have plans to repurchase in a different size when funds allow) .  I will be reviewing them on Pink Haired Princess sometime this week though, as I managed to get those photos taken before the return.  This week I have the striped version of these ankle boots I showed you in sequins a few weeks ago.  They are very different to one another, so without a doubt you can justify both pairs with no guilt!

I feel really odd showing you these shoes and this whole outfit, when I'm currently sitting sweltering after the hot and humid day we've had (and indeed have had all week). I actually prepared these sets over a month ago, so probably should've shown you them then and the weather would've been boiling ever since! If you like that, I personally hate that no-air, stuffy feeling or worse, melting, which I am doing right now! I was totally in full-on Autumn/Winter mode last week, with the darker nights and looking forward to Santa coming (!) but I feel like it's on hold, for now!

Hello lovelies. Ok, so I'm interrupting the regular shoes and OOTD posts for the next month or so, to show you my Irregular Choice Alice goodies. I'm starting with these fabulous ankle boots, which I bought in both colourways. Firstly, let me say (though I'm sure I have already) how excited I was that there were 3 boot options in this range. This collection really catered for everyone with heels of all heights; flats, mid, what I'd call low high heels (like these) and then the big teapot/teacup higher heels. Then for styles we saw pumps, a court, mary-janes, ankle boots and even a knee high boot (be still my freakin' heart). Why do boots excite me so much? I genuinely don't know, but they do.

Hello, it's been a little over a month since our last TSGSI, but today I finally have my third post. I actually had this organised a while ago (along with another 3 future sets), but have been too ill and too busy to publish it. Naturally in that time, the bag sold out, so today I changed the whole look and actually much prefer it. You'll likely need to familiarise yourself with the other two. We had a monochrome dungaree look for plus size and a bold striped co-ord set for high street.

Shoesday Tuesday, on time, two weeks running, I'm winning! I had another not too bad day today, so managed to shoot these new shoes and also edit the photos, all without falling asleep. I shan't jinx myself by saying much more!  The shoes are the latest character heel from Irregular Choice, beautiful swans. You can read my review of them here and also of the green ones here. The pink (or "white" as they are officially titled) are the pair I have chosen to keep.

Aigo, I've been trying to post this for the past few weeks, but it's taken until now to finish. I'm not going to moan about it, I'm really struggling just now and I realise it must be annoying for you too, missing the usual features and putting up with sporadic posting, but unless a miracle happens, there's nothing I can do and I just have to keep trying when I feel able. So back to shoes and I have a full outfit for you again. I had an appointment with the doctor, which was a bit of an episode that truth be told, I can't be bothered typing about (too much drama)!  I struggled with my footwear this day, because it rained on and off (quite torrential) and I realised almost all of my shoe collection (and especially IC's) are suede (or suedette) or made from some colour, finish or trim that I wouldn't want getting ruined in the rain.

Hello chickies. I apologise for the absence again; life has been very hard lately. It's such a frustrating time for me, when I'm feeling this ill, but still have a head filled with blogging ideas, that I'm unable to complete. I didn't finish my last series of TSGSI (the lovely Camilla Elphick coral reef shoes) and I truly hate not concluding things; it's really been playing on my mind if I'm honest. However my last set just wasn't coming together and since it's been so long since, I've abandoned it in favour of starting afresh. Sorry if you came here hoping for my final look! Last week was the only 'recreational' one, the others have all been hospital appointments unfortunately. I'm still not doing great and have about 3 draft posts documenting what's happened recently, but haven't any energy to finish them. Oh the irony!

Hola! Now that I've finished my Star Wars series (!), I have a full outfit for you today. I've had to get dressed quite a bit recently and sometimes I've photographed it, so I'll see what's salvageable for blog posts! Surprisingly this wasn't a doctors appointment, but a trip out for ice-cream to Nardini's. We were attempting to try out my new wheelchair and get me out more (or at all!), plus it had been my birthday earlier in the week (this was back in May). I ended up so wrecked after this, that it's not the type of thing I could do regularly unfortunately. I skipped the ice-cream part and instead opted for a scone (becoming quite a scone fiend) and a piece of Millionaire which I was going to bring home, but managed to eat there too (well I gave some to my sister, who managed a sundae and that)!

Shoes: Irregular Choice Star Wars Day Of The Trooper

Hola!  Last week I had to give Shoesday Tuesday a miss because I had soooo many photos of these gorgeous shoes, that it took me longer than I anticipated to go through them.  Instead I made a video of me walking in them, which you hopefully saw if you subscribe to my YouTube channel.  If not, do it! There is more to come, wink, wink.  So these are the second pair I have to show you from the 2nd wave of Irregular Choice Star Wars.  From the previews, I'd decided these were my favourite and the one pair I was definitely going for.  My first foray into a non R2D2 heel too!  The heels on these are Stormtrooper heads, really chunky with a pearly finish which I hadn't appreciated in the stock photos.  They have colourful sugar skull patterns to match the wonderfully bright, embroidered uppers.

TSGSI is back after a brief break. I was getting myself in a muddle over my previous sets. I still had one final look to do and it just wasn't coming together and then too much time had passed and it seemed a bit late to bother with it. I fully intended to start afresh the week after, but I've been falling asleep lately during the day (literally can't keep my eyes open) or just feeling so lethargic that I can't blog. However, I got a wee request for TSGSI and usually I wouldn't choose a pair of shoes that aren't readily available, but I love a little challenge.

Hello, Shoesday Tuesday on...Wednesday!! I am so tired right now that I can't keep my eyes open-I keep falling asleep during the day, which isn't normal for me. I feel like someone has just drained me and I'm struggling to find the motivation to blog, when it's hard enough keeping my eyes open, y'know? I was really excited about these shoes though, so wanted to blog about them (especially as they are back in stock), even if it is a day late.
