Day 913 - Malcolm In The Middle, That Was Big When I Was Little

Shoes: Mint green courts with stitching detail Alexander McQueen

Hola! Been a bit of a lull this week because we've had rain or else I've not felt up to getting dressed and going out. This outfit is from Wednesday, when I was thankful for some fresh air. Although it's not been too hot, it's been very humid. I decided to play up the pastel colours, combining mint and lilac and keeping the look soft with this grey leopard print cardigan. Same went for my makeup, pastel shades and trying to break out of the same smudged look I've been wearing for months! The dress is supposed to tie around the back, but the sash is so big, I think it looks pretty at the front in a bow.  I thought you'd appreciate some extra photos of the stitch detail around these courts, in shimmering threads.

Wearing: Lilac midi spot dress Dorothy Perkins, leopard print cardigan Be Beau at Matalan.
Fit: Run quite large, heel 4 1/4".
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 864 - There Ain't No Breeze Big Enough To Slow Me

Shoes: Mint green courts Alexander McQueen

Leopard print two days in a row! Sometimes I feel like a contrast from the previous day, other times I'm in the mood for similar looks. It was super windy outside, so I struggled to get a photo of my shoes where my skirt wasn't blowing all over the place. Thankfully it is fully lined and isn't the type to blow right up, just all around! I had tears streaming down my cheeks from it being so blustery, had anyone seen me they'd have wondered why I was crying! It's just so nice to get out in the sunshine though and without a coat, it felt like winter was going to last forever!

Wearing: Pleated leopard print maxi skirt Primark, grey Henry twins t-shirt H by Henry Holland, belt taken from another dress, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: Run quite large, heel 4 1/4".
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 700 - I Got It Locked Up Like Lindsay Lohan

Shoes: Mint green courts with stitching detail Alexander McQueen

Erm wowzers, today we hit Day 700!! How mega is that?  I've had a bit of a disruptive week-I hadn't been outdoors since last Tuesday and was starting to get agitated, so got all dressed up and ready to go out this Tuesday, only for the heavens to open with one of the worst downpours I've seen in a long time (and we've seen a lot lately)! This time complete with thunder, which I secretly find rather exciting!  So that day was a total waste of makeup!  Wednesday was rain again, Thursday was thankfully dry and here's the outfit.  It was actually boiling yesterday and I'm not very good in the heat, even if I was only out for 5 minutes.  I continued with my designer shoe spree (not actually intentionally); the perfect pastel addition to this gorgeous dress.  Now I'm not really a flag waving, bunting hanging, 'proud to be British' type of person (no, not even after the Olympics), but this dress is totally something I could get behind.  I love kooky prints with landmarks and this one has London's finest (I love me some London).  I managed to snag it in the sale after drooling over it full-price and then stalking the website once it had sold out until I found a random size 16.  I kinda wish it didn't have the little sequins on it as I feel it doesn't need it, but it's got a lovely full skirt and I like the retro detailing to the bodice.  I'm guessing the light was playing tricks with my one brown/one white leg in the full-length shot, rather funny I think!

Wearing:  Jubilee dress River Island, black cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, straw hat Miss Selfridge, belt taken from another dress, 'Mischief' sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: Run quite large, heel 4 1/4".
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day Four Hundred & Seventeen - Mint Ice Cream

Shoes: Mint green courts with stitching detail Alexander McQueen

On Friday it was my little sisters 29th birthday, so we went out in the afternoon with our nephews for ice cream at Jannettas. I had a Scoopy Snack which is cookie dough ice-cream layered between giant choc-chip cookies-so yummy! Suffice to say, the diet went out the window that day! I didn't have time to take all the outfit photos that day, so some details are missing.

Wearing: Scenic print dress New Look, pink belt Dorothy Perkins, shell bag River Island, rings Primark (the ring in the fotd photo is Miss Selfridge but I changed my mind about wearing it), pearl slides in hair gift, skull cameo pearls Miss Selfridge.
Fit: Run quite large, heel 4 1/4".
Comfort: No issues with these, although my feet were still hurting from the day before!

Day Two Hundred & Twenty Eight - Minted

Lot's going on today as my Mum and Dad came back from their holidays last night and I have a weeks worth of stories to fill them in on! Also had my nephews out again today, that's been 5 days in a row and I'm shattered, they are so boisterous! Wore my lovely Pearl Lowe for Peacocks dark mint floral dress and these mint court shoes (which are slightly darker than in the photo); so pretty. I think I'm going out for lunch tomorrow with my Mum for my b'day and my friend is coming down from Aberdeen on Saturday for lunch-I think it'll be a birthday week!
