Yay, I eventually bought myself some birthday shoes! My b'day was back in May, but I hadn't seen anything at the time and I wasn't going to buy something just for the sake of my wee tradition. I'd rather wait until something special appeared. I'd actually seen these elsewhere, about three times the price I bought them for and even that would be significantly cheaper than the original retail price. I've also seen them in black and white zebra stripes or a plain blush pink, but leopard was my favourite, so I was so excited to find them. I had my choice of sizes, so decided to go a half size up (38.5/5.5) as I usually find D&G a bit small. I've taken a picture of the sole, so you can properly see the toe shape, as it's obscured by the fur fabric on the uppers, but they have quite a narrow pointed toe. I didn't necessarily find the shoe small, but I think with that toe it would be uncomfortable and pinching, even just the half size smaller, so I'm glad I went up. They are quite a stiff hard shoe, so not immediately comfy. The heel is a stiletto with a very narrow tip, but I found them comfortable and wasn't wobbling on them. Again it's hard to see with the fur fabric, so I've photographed the tip.
In stock photos they look quite slim fitting, I've seen much shaggier, longer haired furry shoes from D&G, but actually these were a little crazier than I expected. With the pile being so dense, it adds a lot of depth to the shoe, so at the heel and toe, it looks like the shoe is too big (against your foot), when the base shape fits perfectly, it's just the thick fur making it look bigger. They are very toey...so if toe cleavage isn't your thing, you might want to consider tights or maybe this shape just won't be for you. I'm not mad on toe cleavage to be honest, I wasn't digging how these looked with bare feet (especially from my point of view above, looking down). The fur is fake, but very soft. The matching leopard print box and dustbag, had me drooling!
Wearing: Black fishnet tights, old similar here (affiliate link).
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, no platform. Slip on. True to size, though a narrow shaped toe so I bought a half size up and there's no heel slippage.
They look okay but not really a leopard print fan!
