Yay, I eventually bought myself some birthday shoes! My b'day was back in May, but I hadn't seen anything at the time and I wasn't going to buy something just for the sake of my wee tradition. I'd rather wait until something special appeared. I'd actually seen these elsewhere, about three times the price I bought them for and even that would be significantly cheaper than the original retail price. I've also seen them in black and white zebra stripes or a plain blush pink, but leopard was my favourite, so I was so excited to find them.

Another Irregular Choice exclusive colourway for you this week from the lightning bolt heels collection. I bought both the IC exclusives as the prints and colours appealed to me most. You can see my furry, unicorn courts here.

Day 924 - Mama's Still Cooking Too Much For Supper

Shoes: Leopard print 'Edna' Irregular Choice
Some days just don't photograph well, whether that was down to me actually looking like a sack of spuds or the camera making me look like that, I don't know! I got a shock today though, when it came to editing the images and realising I didn't have all that much to work with, yikes! It usually comes the day after you've had a particularly nice outfit/hair/makeup too. It's like an ancient blogging law that you can't look good two days running. It's to keep you grounded and stop your head from getting too big! Anyway in the flesh, my makeup was so soft and pretty and my hair was kinda awesome. The dress, I'm never too sure about if I'm honest. I don't think the colour does anything for me and it does make me look sack'o'spud like in real life as well as on camera. Plus it was creased to bits and I just ironed it last week, annoying.com. I added a belt to try and give the sack shape but meh, don't think it helped. Add to this the fact my Mum came out with me on my walk to "hold my dress down" as it was a little windier than I/we realised. Gosh, how embarrassing is that? I did put on an underskirt, but I shoulda had on leggings or maybe a weighted hem like the Queen! Such is life as a girl...in a potato sack ; )
Wearing: Beige polka dot dress H By Henry Holland, belt taken from another dress.
Fit: A little snug, but I wouldn't size up personally. Just over 4" heel.
Comfort: Very comfy and no walking problems.

Day 866 - In The Circles I've Been Running, I've Covered Many Miles

Shoes: Leopard print 'Edna' Irregular Choice
Absolutely pooped today after shopping. Yesterday I decided to 'put away' my winter boots that had been sitting around for ages. This involves a lot of upheaval because the shoe situation is out of hand and there are piles of boxes everywhere. So while I was doing that I decided I may as well grab a few IC's out of their cupboard and do a seasonal switcheroo. Anyone with OCD would be going nuts because I had to go in 'blind' as there was just enough space to open one door (and not fully) and so I couldn't see in, I just had to reach and contort until I got a box out. I ended up switching shoes which are now in the wrong boxes (eek) and many I couldn't even reach, but hopefully by the time I have to switch back for winter, they'll all be in their own shoe-room. Maybe. Anyway I was so knackered I couldn't even stand or get my lunch (hence why I didn't go out) and I have three bruises on my arm from wedging it in the door (!) I did grab some good shoes though! So today I didn't exactly feel up to shopping, but it was successful as I managed to get a usb hub, longer usb cable to go into the usb port at the back of my PC and also a usb camera card reader (I've been using my old broken camera to upload pics from my dslr as there is no way of attaching it to the pc). All for £1 each (yes I know I already ordered the cable from Amazon but I got impatient and couldn't wait any longer). Crisis averted, thanks for all your advice by the way. Also thanks to Emma for letting me know about this leopard print dress which I already own in floral and heart prints : )
Wearing: Leopard print dip hem dress and beaded cardigan Primark, shiny snake leggings New Look, elephant necklace gift, peacock and crocodile rings gifts, lace flower ring Miss Selfridge, nude quilted bag Love Moschino.
Fit: A little snug, but I wouldn't size up personally. Just over 4" heel.
Comfort: Very comfy and no walking problems.

Day 851 - Sometimes I Wonder If It's All Worth My While

Shoes: Leopard print 'Kitten' Irregular Choice Loves Heatherette
I had another trip to try and find the MH doll I want today. Twice in one week is a bit excessive for me, although in saying that I was literally 5 minutes in the shop and sitting on the bus the rest of the time (and the walking was no more than my usual walk). It's been beautiful and sunny here today (no, really!) and I needed my sunglasses the whole journey through. Then when I got off the bus....proper snow! I wasn't really prepared for that, so had to wrap my scarf around my head to protect my hair from getting wet (!) and I was absolutely white by the time I got inside. Exactly the same on the way back...coming home to bright sun, strange! I'm thinking of wearing my Flopsy bunny shoes tomorrow, any ideas on what to wear them with?
Wearing: Neon floral dress H By Henry Holland, black leggings Primark, cardigan Bonmarche, all rings Topshop, quilted bag Love Moschino, hair flower gift, tan belt taken from another dress.
Fit: True to size, 4" heel, slip on.
Comfort: Really easy to walk in and comfortable.

Day 815 - I Will Be Late, Don't Stay Up And Wait For Me
Shoes: Pink leopard platform 'Wilma' boots Senso Diffusion at Solestruck
I almost forgot I had these booties, I haven't worn them for ages. I remember when I first purchased them, seeing them on a blog with a completely monochrome outfit and they looked so striking against the black and white. I thought I might try that yesterday and was initially looking for my Dorothy Perkins 'lace' printed dress, but found this instead (one of these days my wardrobe will actually engulf me, it's so full and so difficult to find anything). I liked the look, just a shame the boots are as flexible as cardboard (!) and therefore not very comfortable against bare ankles (probably not helped by the fact they are bigger than I'd usually wear). I got home with the skin rubbed off my ankles and bleeding a little, thank goodness I didn't wear them any longer or it would've been an even bigger mess!
Wearing: Scribble heart peter pan collar dress F&F at Tesco, black leggings and polka dot coat Primark, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: These are a US9 and quite roomy inside for me, but there's just enough room for me to get them on and off. Platform 3.5cm and heel 5 3/4".
Comfort: Can rub at the ankles.

Day 802 - I Went From Quite Filthy To Filthy Rich
Shoes: Leopard 'Wild Thing' Irregular Choice
I've worn these boots so many times, I've almost run out of interesting angles to show you! I don't think I've ever taken a picture of the back before though. I got this dress ages ago (along with the Eiffel Tower one I wore the other day) and it's only now I've got around to wearing it. It's actually really cosy (good considering it is extremely cold today) and very comfortable too. I love the flash of leopard print around the waist and the collar, which goes into a deeper V at the back. Considering the snow has gone from the main streets (due to the gritter being round a gazillion times over the weekend), I decided I'd venture out when it was dry (and without rubber soled boots). I literally had like a 2 minute window without more snow, rain or sleet! The wind is something terrible, we're getting battered to bits on the east coast. I wanted some fresh air though and boy did I get it, it actually hurt my face, it was so painful and numb within seconds. Like I said it's been falling all day but thankfully not sticking....then tonight I opened the blinds to look out and it was completely white, road included, eeeep!
Wearing: Leopard print collar shift dress Dorothy Perkins, fleece lined tights and coat Primark.
Fit: True to size, full length back zip and 4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 774 - Haters Can Make Like Bees With No Stingers
Shoes: Leopard print 'Edna' Irregular Choice
Time got away from me today and it was later than usual until I made it out for my walk. 4pm and it was practically dark as you can see from my last pic (and this was taken directly under a lamp-post)! I hate the lack of daylight during winter, I think I'm actually starting to suffer from SAD! I love this dress though, I wore it loads last winter as it's so versatile. This time I decided to pair it with mustard tights (fleece lined for the cold) and saw these shoes sitting out and decided to wear them when the weather allowed!
Wearing: Star print dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, belt gift, fur hat, mustard tights and coat Primark, unicorn brooch on hat Miss Selfridge.
Fit: A little snug, but I wouldn't size up personally. Just over 4" heel.
Comfort: No issues.
