Day 517 - Lipstick And Lace

Shoes: Black and silver spike 'Corso Como' Fashionista's by Kurt Geiger

Yesterday was my nephews christening, a lovely day. I was really happy with my outfit although my jewellery was a little rushed and if I'd had more time, I probably would've picked some different rings. However it all came together reasonably well. The dress is just amazing, one of the most beautiful I own and totally to my taste. The skirt is so full and lace is my favourite fabric and the scalloped edges on the hem and sleeves are another wonderful feature, I could go on and on! I always get a hint of nerves when doing my hair and make-up for special occasions because I'm the type of person that tends to do something wonderful one day then when it really counts I make a mess of it. I used to forever scold myself for that when I was drawing or painting for competitions or my portfolio! Anyway it turned out alright, clearly I never retouched my powder though as I was like an oil-slick when I got home and my face rarely gets like that, so some photos were extremely shiny, not nice, haha!

Wearing: Black lace 'Peggy' prom dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, large polka dot tights, bow brooch (worn in hair), large pearls all Primark, black ring Miss Selfridge, pewter ring Topshop.
Fit: True to size, not much to keep your foot in at the front (fyi my pair are a 1/2 size larger than I usually take), 5 3/4" heel and 3/4" concealed platform.
Comfort: Not the easiest to walk in and some level of discomfort however I'd worn these all day for 2 days previously to break them in and that definitely helped.

Day 516 - It Shouldn't Happen Like That

Shoes: Black croc 'Barrs' Aldo

Got my hair bleached today and been wandering around the house in jammie bottoms and high heeled shoes in preparation for Sunday, not a good look, heehee! This outfit is from Thursday, the dreaded day which took 3 attempts to get through to Dundee, simply because I needed to return a dress. Five blooming hours it took and I'm in a great deal if pain because of it-I hate when things don't go to plan. Anyway, thankfully I had on my old faithfuls that are super high but super comfy. It was milder that day but I still wasn't brave enough to go in leggings and bare feet, so I popped on these little sock things for some warmth. I actually ended up wearing sunglasses most of the day but with my winter hat on too, don't you just love Scottish weather?!

Wearing: Black jersey dress Ruby Rocks, leggings, key necklace, bee ring all Primark. Hat gifted, brooch my Granny's, grey tights/socks gifted, pearl ring gifted, flying unicorn ring and wolf ring Miss Selfridge, other ring ?
Fit: True to size, back zip, elasticated strapping, almost 5" heel.
Comfort: So easy to walk in and comfortable.

Day 515 - Tweet Tweet

Shoes: Taupe and navy 'Syd' Carvela at Kurt Geiger

Sorry I've missed a couple of posts this week, I just need to catch up. I didn't make it out of the house today, so there's no post for that but these are...from Tuesday. I really wanted to try out my new fleece lined tights, fyi best invention ever! They are a little tight at the top of the thighs for me, but otherwise they're pretty damn amazing. I don't think they make my legs look more chunky, I don't think you would notice how thick the tights are. I did wear a different dress, took the pics then realised this dress looked and felt better so changed again (been doing that a lot lately).

Wearing: Navy bird print dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, navy cosy tights and boat print scarf Primark.
Fit: 5 1/2" skinny heel and 1" platform. Small inside zip and the strap is elasticated for ease of getting on and off.
Comfort: These were pretty comfortable and they actually aren't too difficult to walk in considering the height.

Day 514 - Twice As Wild

Shoes: Leopard 'Wild Thing' boots Irregular Choice

I'm running a little behind, so this is yesterdays outfit. I popped through to Primark for a wee nosey, if you've been on Pink Haired Princess or my YouTube channel, you'll have seen the haul video yesterday. I almost missed the bus in the morning because I couldn't decide which shoes (or jewellery) to wear...I wanted something warm and comfortable and honestly every day I just stand in front of my wardrobe and think 'I have no shoes/dress to wear' it's ridiculous because I have tonnes! Maybe it's a case of too many. I just don't feel ready for winter though and I'm getting really worried that I'm wearing super wintery footwear now and what will I wear when it's proper cold? It could be an excuse to invest in some more boots, although I have no room for any more so probably not! I maybe need to get back into selling on eBay for some cash, although it's been giving me a headache lately hence my avoidance of it. The other shots of the boots were taken on the bus as you can see, hence the not so in focus-ness of it all. the close-ups of my face are the before and after. I was rather dishevelled when I got home because it was like a hurricane outside, my street always seems to get the wind worse too, so I was standing on the doorstep having a complete Marilyn moment with my coat blowing up around my neck!

Wearing: Black jersey dress with gold buttons, large owl pendant, black coat, leggings, hair bow, owl and panther rings all Primark, bunny and frog rings Miss Selfridge.
Fit: Quite roomy (surprising given that these are marked a US7 and IC!), full length back zip and 4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 513 - Unpretty

Shoes: Metallic 'Sanai' peep toes Faith

I'm not feeling very prettiful today! I really wanted and needed a lie-in, but there was a loud thud (still don't know what that was) just after 7am, my sister got a couple of texts which I heard beeping through the wall and two people came to the door. Seriously, what's a girl to do to get some beauty sleep? So then I woke up in a mood, have wasted 2 hours of my life watching The 'crap' Factor on TV tonight (it was really rubbish), my hair needs washed and this dress was making me look stumpy. Phew, that's all! Oh no, actually a pair of shoes I've been waiting for all week arrived and they don't fit, boo : ( Hopefully get a good sleep tonight and be back on my game tomorrow. Hope you're all having a good weekend. The metallic straps on these shoes (and the platform and heel) look an olive green shade in one light then deep burgundy in another, pretty cool.

Wearing: Mink floral dress Dorothy Perkins, cami worn underneath, leggings and swallow print scarf all Primark.
Fit: True to size, zip opening, 4 3/4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.
