Day 744 - The Radio's Playing Some Forgotten Song

Shoes: White Mash'a'Mallow Kandee 

By golly, it's horrid outside today (see last pic)! Dreich, dark, misty, rainy and you can barely see what's in front of you. Inside there's hardly any light either, I completely forgot how little we get in winter and it makes taking photos really challenging. So it was out with the hat to try and protect the hair (the little that was exposed has now drooped rather horridly) and this was a rather comfortable and cosy outfit for the day. I could hardly get into my wardrobe this morning after a bout of cleaning yesterday that left me with bags (of plastic, paper, rubbish and charity-shop) piled up after I whoosed it all to one side before bed last night. Why is it that whenever you're in a cleaning-mood, it doesn't last long and you're left with remnants that you don't wish to tackle?

Wearing: 'Frida' floral dress Swan by Clements Ribeiro, leggings and coat Primark, cardigan Bonmarche, metal bow belt Topshop.
Fit: Small, take a whole size up.  5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" double platform.
Comfort: A hard shoe that is so heavy it wants to pull away from the foot, which leaves you walking a bit 'clumpy'.  I think with tights they'd be comfier as they rubbed the balls of the foot at the sides.

Day 675 - Honey Got A Booty Like Pow, Pow, Pow

Shoes: Yellow and blue 'Ruth' wedge London College of Fashion & New Look 

It was supposed to rain yesterday but didn't thankfully, so I got out for a wee walk.  I thought I'd wear a really bright outfit because it was a bit dull outside.  I love the little hula-girls on this dress I bought the other week.  These wedges are certainly a work-out for the legs.  I'm not saying they are difficult to walk in but you do just have to remain aware that you're high-up and have further to fall!  It takes concentration when walking to ensure you're not going to step on something that will make you topple and they're very heavy to lift!

Wearing:  Frill dress H by Henry Holland (and belt taken from other HH dress), cardigan Be Beau at Matalan,  leggings Primark, hairband gift.
Fit: True to size, 6 3/4" heel and 2 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Didn't have any issues with them hurting...you have to be careful at walking (really concentrate), but I managed quite a good pace without toppling!

Day 669 - In My Dreams You Are Still Here

Shoes: Brown studded sandals Primark 

Good evening chickadees!  I feel like I've kinda lost my mojo this past week or so.  My outfits either don't feel that great or aren't coming across well in the pics.  This dress is absolutely beautiful, so I thought it would be a good choice, but the photos make it look kinda unflattering (I really don't look amused in the full-length shot do I?)!  It's only a size 16, so I was chuffed to bits it fitted, but I don't think I'm doing it justice here...think I got the proportions wrong perhaps or the cardi made it look frumpy!  It just hits my knee, so I don't think I'd be comfortable bare-legged in it to be honest, plus it wasn't warm enough for that today, so I felt I needed the leggings (tights seemed too wintery).  Anyhow, it was another outfit that just kinda happened along the way when actually I'd planned on wearing several other things!

Wearing: Blue floral dress H by Henry Holland (Debenhams), navy leggings Primark, shoe scarf gift, swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, tan belt (taken from dress H by Henry Holland).
Fit: True to size, 2 adjustable buckles fastenings, 4 1/2" heel and small platform.
Comfort: A bit of a struggle to get on and off (and they leave horrendous trap-marks) but comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 661 - I'll Make A Hearse Out Of Your Rolls Royce

Shoes: Black studded sandals Primark

On Saturday I was meeting a couple of my old Uni pals for a belated birthday lunch.  It was one of those days where I really wasn't in the mood for going out and even getting ready was a chore 'looks too wintery, feel too fat, too short' etc. My bedroom looked like a clothes-bomb had hit it by the end of the morning and right before I left the house I had yet another change of heart and whipped off my other ASOS maxi to replace it with this one that I'd worn last week, which is more comfortable.  I was scrambling about for accessories at the last minute (!) and paired it with these sandals which haven't seen the light of day for years and as much as it pained me to do so, I wore black with tan accessories (me and my black/brown never together phobia)!  It was a lovely day (sunny but not too hot) and great to see the girls and hear their stories.  The Prada sunnies were a hit as was the dress and I felt alright in my outfit after all that.  I got some lovely pressies too, including this Shamballa bracelet, so sparkly under lights! I hadn't managed to take any photos before leaving, hence the multiple 'on-the-bus' shots!

Day 541 - Lovely Lilac

Shoes: Lilac suede stud heels River Island

Hello, this outfit is from Sunday. I had every intention of going out on Saturday but ended up cleaning my window inside and out instead (stormy weather and residue from melted 'gel gems' are a bitch). I actually find cleaning very therapeutic and much prefer it to tidying. I don't do much of either these days given that after 2 minutes of it-I'm completely knackered, as was the case this weekend. My arms and legs were killing me! So this was a rather rushed but pretty outfit on Sunday. These fleece lined tights are the most opaque tights you'll ever find and I'm going in search of more, next time I'm shopping. Ignore the crazy hair, it was needing washed and I knew I would be wearing a hat, so brushed the curls out and backcombed it until I looked like Jedward's long lost sister.

Wearing: Lace print dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black fleece lined tights and cardi Primark, hat gift, butterfly and bug brooches from my advent calender this year!
Fit: A little bit small fitting, 5 1/2" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Had no issues with these.
