Day Four Hundred & Twelve - Work It Out

Shoes: Flying teddy bear 'Cortesan' Irregular Choice

Hiya! I'm trying to play catch-up...I did get out yesterday but didn't have time to post pics. Every day when I decide which outfit or shoes to wear I have a different approach. Yesterday I wanted to wear my new Playing Koi lipstick by MAC, it's a very peachy nude and led me to wear this bright peach prom dress and the only shoes I could think that would tie in were my Office 'Pentlow Prom' peep toes. However I wore them not so long ago and decided to have a rummage and see what else I could find. These shoes were perfect and not as matchy/matchy as the Office pair would have been. I often forget I own them (and the matching bag) and it's a shame because they are really fabulous-I love the print, colours and because I bought them a size larger they are actually pretty comfy!

Wearing: Peach prom dress and vest underneath, black leggings and sunglasses all Primark.
Fit: Cortesan styles fit small, so I bought a size larger and although they're possibly a little too big, they are much comfier than my smaller pairs. 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Being a size larger they are somehow much easier to walk in and much comfier!

Day Four Hundred & Eleven - Quick!

Shoes: Grey suede and pink 'Zayna' by Zandra Rhodes

Here's yesterdays shoes. I'm hoping to get out today when there's a break in my eBaying but we'll see! We've been having lovely weather this week, but I feel I've been too busy to really enjoy it-I fell asleep yesterday afternoon and then woke up in a panic that I had so much to do and had missed the sunshine!

Wearing: Straight out of bed and chucked on my (rather crushed) ASOS Curve floral maxi-the shoes were maybe an unusual choice to put with this dress, but I think it worked. Cardi ? and sunglasses ASOS.
Fit: True to size, perhaps a little tight across the foot on me. Heel 5 1/4", platform 1/2". Adjustable ties at heels.
Comfort: Wow, these shoes are so cushioned! Very comfy and easy walkers.

Day Four Hundred & Ten - Give Up

Shoes: Quilted 'Phoenix' shoe boots ASOS Premium

I've been babysitting today so haven't had time to brush my hair never mind anything else. Yesterday I had to go to Dundee to return some things. I can't say it was an enjoyable trip-we had to pick the most crazy bus with more than one loony tune aboard! Once there it was almost impossible to get to the shop with traffic lights not working (playing chicken with cars whilst in a wheelchair is not a good idea but we didn't have a choice-it seems drivers stop for nothing) then I had to get out at one point because the car park has been dug up and we couldn't get the wheelchair down a rubble slope without tipping me out. While a builder commented I was 'missing a colour' clearly in reference to my hair (makes a change from 'get your tits out' I suppose)! On the way home there was a bunch of annoying...I want to say kids, but they were old enough to know better, just being real smart asses up the back and playing some game about '...in my pants'?? It was either 'I've got' or 'don't have' (can't quite remember) '...Justin Bieber in my pants', then 'Never Say Never in my pants'. What the hell?

Wearing: Black floral 50's dress Dorothy Perkins, worn with black frill skirt underneath for fullness, black leggings, rose ring and charm necklace all Primark. Double flower ring Miss Selfridge.
Fit: Premium styles tend to be smaller made, I needed a full size up in these and yet they still look tiny! Heel 4 5/8", lace up front.
Comfort: My legs were absolutely aching last night, I don't know if it was these shoes or maybe I've not been walking much the past few days-the shoes themselves didn't bother me and they're easy enough to walk in-they might be quite high though for some people without any platform.

Day Four Hundred & Nine - Special Day

Shoes: Kandee Diamonds spike platforms

So this was my outfit yesterday! Decided to break out the big guns for Mothers Day! I must admit my walking was tentative, small and sloooow steps. The hotel had such a plush carpet that it was very uneven to walk on anyway, never mind the ridiculous heels. They are in general ok to walk in but it's the fear of the heel breaking that worries me, sometimes you think you've just stepped on it funny and it's going to buckle beneath you and I'd cry if that happened! By the end of the day, my feet were slipping forward because i was hot and this is where I would probably have been ok with my usual size, but I bought a size up because I was worried they wouldn't fit.

Wearing: I wore black eyeshadow (Urban Decay Perversion) and winged it out which I never do but the new hair encouraged it! I didn't get many decent outfit pics yesterday though, sorry. The black floral prom dress is from Matalan and has net underneath and a matching belt, worn with my bow cardi New Look, lilac and black flowers in hair a gift, fluffy fox ring and swan ring The Jewellery Box, Sindy In Paris handbag Helen Rochfort and pearls my Granny's.
Fit: You could probably just take your regular size in these, I bought a size up (not that you can buy these shoes now anyway, super exclusive only 60 pairs made)!! Are you ready? 6 1/4" heel and 1 1/2" platform!
Comfort: Ok I admit they aren't the easiest to walk in or most comfortable, more for sitting or 'short walk' events!

Day Four Hundred & Eight - The Way You Make Me Feel

Shoes: Purple croc 4 buckle courts Matalan

Sorry for disappearing this weekend, it's been very hectic, so I'll try and catch up with some posts now. Sometimes or a lot of the time it's as much about the way a shoe makes you feel as how it looks. This is one such case. These shoes are probably nothing that exciting to look at, but they have this ability to make you feel sexy and put a spring in your step. Probably because if you don't 'spring' you can't walk in them! They are very high without any platform, so you really have to bounce to keep going!

Wearing: Black floral dress either Asda or Tesco I can't remember! Bow cardi New Look. Sunglasses Primark and my new hair!
Fit: True to size and I love the 4 buckles because they are quite large and not those fiddly little ones you often get these days. I've put these shoes away and they're difficult to reach and I can't remember the heel measurement! It's either 4 1/2" or 4 3/4".
Comfort: You'll feel your legs aching from the height but the shoes themselves don't give you any bother. As I said, they are probably better for more experienced heel wearers, while it's unlikely you'll wobble or fall off them, the walking takes a certain technique.
