Day 1114 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: ASOS Headlines

Hello! Hope you're all well today. I have the bargain of the century shoes to show you. So, I'm on an unofficial no-buy. There's no proper rules, I'm just trying to watch the pennies as I've been over-spending a lot over summer. I really need to get back into eBaying regularly too, but ahhh, it takes so much work and there's too many scammers out there trying to get something for free that I really don't have time, patience or money for. I do notice a difference when it's not supplementing my income though.  Anyway I was feeling a bit dejected last week and in need of a little treat. I'd had my eye on these at full price, then when they were in the sale and hoped they would go even cheaper. They did indeed; down to £14.50 from £50 and I had a £10 loyalty voucher, so got them for £4.50. What can you get for under a fiver these days? Not much!

Day 1032 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: ASOS x Walls Twister Sandals

Hola! I went with something very fun and bright for Shoesday Tuesday this week. Hopefully it'll cheer you up, if you're feeling a bit sluggish. It's been quite amusing (and embarrassing) seeing our town on TV for the golf over the past week, with the world watching our typical Scottish summer day. Rain, high winds, bright sunshine, flooding, warmth, cold, calm, all one after the other. Changeable is definitely the best way to describe it right now, you just don't know what you're going to get. I know several people feeling down about the weather and our supposed 'summer'.  These shoes scream sunshine though, because check out that whopper of a heel!

Day 1003 - Shoesday Tuesday

Wearing ASOS Homework shoes and Meadham Kirchhoff socks
Shoes: ASOS Homework

Ahhhh, don't you miss the crazy old days, when you couldn't predict what weirdness would grace my feet next? I've had these shoes for a couple of months now, but they must've passed me by when they first came out (which is rare) or maybe I was going through a phase of not buying shoes because I had no room and/or money. Hmm, yes, that sounds more familiar. My only excuse is @Asos_Felicity made me do it!

Day 929 - I'll Carry You, When You Need A Friend

Shoes: Floral tapestry 'Ablaze' ASOS

I am so ridiculously behind with posts here this week. The plus side of that is, I'm able to edit them and post them as frequently as is possible now and with it supposed to rain over the next two days, I'll hopefully get caught up. There's some good ones to come and this one is from Tuesday. Mum and I went shopping, not for anything exciting, just to get out. I came home with a black cardigan and some cat leggings for my friends little girl!  I'm able to accept summer is over, but I'm still a little tentative of rushing into winter tights and coats and things! This is my 'transitional' look (gosh I kinda hate that phrase), of bare legs with boots and socks. It worked well that day and actually I wore another variation of it today.  I have to mention my gold manicure ring here (not to be confused with a 'nail ring' which I used to have loads of-fyi a 'pierced' nail really freaks people out for some reason); anyway I've had this snake one for a couple of years and almost completely forgot about it.  It fits my pinky perfectly and felt very secure, it's definitely my favourite thing right now.

Wearing:  Black midi dress and waterfall cardigan Primark, lace socks gift, frog ring and skull pearl necklace Miss Selfridge, manicure ring New Look, mouse ring Accessorize, other rings my Grannys, nude quilted bag Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform, lace-up front.
Comfort: Very comfortable and a nice steady base to walk on.

Day 872 - Here Comes The Hotstepper

Shoes: Quilted 'Phoenix' ASOS Premium

Today I bring you my outfit from Monday. I'm just back from a wee holiday (an overnight stay counts as a 'holiday' right?), so I'm pretty excited about outfits that will have a different backdrop to usual! Back to Monday though and man I was a sickly wee thing that day! It was either allergies or a one-day-cold, but I resembled Rudolph and sniffled and sneezed my way through the day. The last thing I felt like doing was getting dressed and wearing makeup, but I'm a dedicated blogger and stopped every 10 seconds to plug my nose then fake smile for photos! It was quite funny because I finally figured out my holiday wardrobe, only to burst the zip on my Making Moves (Irregular Choice) shoes that I was taking (the fabric part of the zip has split and come away from the seam). I actually started crying! I don't cry over stuff like that usually, but it was one of those days and they are one of my favourite pairs : ( Back to this outfit and I forgot I owned these shoes, I used to looooove them. They are pretty high, but bearable and easy enough to walk in.

Wearing:  Stars and moon dress H By Henry Holland, leggings and coat Primark.
Fit: Premium styles tend to be smaller made, I needed a full size up in these. Heel 4 5/8", lace up front.
Comfort: Would probably ache after a lengthy wear, but were easy enough to walk in.

Day 858 - I'm Lookin' Right At The Other Half Of Me

Shoes: Mint gingerbread 'Ablaze' ASOS

A late post again today. It was one of those days that started off great and I thought I had plenty of time to do everything (erm enough time to play Candy Crush), then I forgot I was to type up some spreadsheets for Mum and before I knew it, it was 10pm and I didn't have much crossed off my 'to-do' list! I did get geekily excited though when my wee formula worked on my spreadsheets! I don't think I've done anything like that since school, which was...around 15 years ago, enough said. Today was a bit dull and very cold, so I wanted something practical-ish to wear and I haven't worn my Ablaze for a while. It was drizzly rain when I went out though, so my cute curls turned into the 'before' image for Frizz-Ease, not a good look, well maybe on a rat...!

Wearing: Lace collar polka dot dress Dorothy Perkins, suede leggings Primark, ankle socks H&M.
Fit: True to size, 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform, lace-up front.
Comfort: Very comfortable and a nice steady base to walk on.

Day 818 - I'm Still Calling Your Name Through My Tears

Shoes: Scribble 'Ablaze' ASOS

I had a doctors appointment this afternoon (fun!) and it was sooo cold outside. It tried to snow and was dry (so it would've lay) but it never came to anything (thank goodness). I'm over the whole snow thing, Santa's been, we've moved on, bring on Spring! If the forecast is to believed for tomorrow though, there's no escaping it in Scotland, not even on the East-Coast, booo : ( I decided to layer my tights today, both for fashion and warmth! I've actually owned the top pair since.....2001! How's that for vintage?! I got them in the Topshop sale in the Oxford Street store one summer along with bright fuchsia floral lace tights (which I also still own) and a large tartan 'granny bag' which I wore to death, it was utterly fabulous. Had to break out the ASOS Ablaze too as it's been a while since I've worn any of them...my doc said they were 'scary' (think he fears for my life in the heels I walk in), heehee.

Wearing: Black shift dress Primark, belt Dorothy Perkins, clip earrings Mawi, bottle green tights Accessorize, icy blue lacey tights Topshop.
Fit: True to size, lace-up, 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort:  Comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 741 - My Pantyline Shows-Got A Run In My Hose

Shoes: Ivory and black 'Parkie' ASOS Premium

Following on from the last post regarding outfits not always working, I was less than happy with this one today and the Shania lyrics (and indeed the whole song) felt very fitting as a title. I always start with something in my head, then sometimes it doesn't really work out and in this case I chopped and changed my mind a gazillion times and just settled with this because I was too shattered to find anything else! I was in and out of my wardrobe, reaching into far corners of piles of shoe boxes and I either couldn't find what I was looking for or it didn't look or feel right. I felt uncomfortable in practically everything I tried on and even these leggings were annoying me for the rest of the day, they felt like they were falling down (which I suspect is from my more rounded than usual tummy)!  It's going to be a nightmare tonight, putting all the abandoned clothes and shoes away again.  Unlike a lot (and quite possibly the majority) of bloggers who post 'daily' outfits, I publish every single outfit I ever wear, not just occasional days in a week or outfits I particularly like. So I suppose looking at it that way, I'm bound to discover some outfits that I'm not completely keen on or have my 'off' days. What about you, are you glad to have some days off from blogging or hate when an outfit doesn't work regardless of who sees it?

Wearing: Cream lace dress Pearl Lowe (Peacocks), dog print leggings H By Henry Holland, black cardigan Primark.
Fit: Very small, I had to go up a size. 5 1/2" chunky heel and 1 3/4" platform.
Comfort: The only issues I find are little stones getting stuck in the sole thus making them unsteady, you just have to be aware of it and kick them off as you go.

Day 735 - I Told You Never To Get Used To Me

Shoes: Floral tapestry 'Ablaze' ASOS

I felt a little 'meh' yesterday, not particularly ill or under the weather, just like I wanted to wear something fuss-free, comfortable, non-fitted, preferably trousers. I don't own any though! Other than leggings, but I'd never wear them as trousers, so this was my off-day, I'm not making any effort type outfit. Mum then made me feel self conscious because she said she could see my bum under the dress (covered obv) and that the colour wasn't one I'd usually wear. I should've stuck to my PJ's! There will be slightly more effort in my post tomorrow (todays outfit), which I've actually completely forgotten as I'm typing this. How terrible is that? I only changed into my Pj's half an hour ago and I've no idea what I was wearing before that...OMG! I think it's this working one post behind thing, it's messing with my mind!

Wearing: Mink floral tunic Dorothy Perkins, leggings Primark.
Fit: True to size, 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform, lace-up front.
Comfort: Very comfortable and a nice steady base to walk on.
