Day 1114 - Shoesday Tuesday

wearing asos headlines mint fur mules
Shoes: ASOS Headlines

Hello! Hope you're all well today. I have the bargain of the century shoes to show you. So, I'm on an unofficial no-buy. There's no proper rules, I'm just trying to watch the pennies as I've been over-spending a lot over summer. I really need to get back into eBaying regularly too, but ahhh, it takes so much work and there's too many scammers out there trying to get something for free that I really don't have time, patience or money for. I do notice a difference when it's not supplementing my income though.  Anyway I was feeling a bit dejected last week and in need of a little treat. I'd had my eye on these at full price, then when they were in the sale and hoped they would go even cheaper. They did indeed; down to £14.50 from £50 and I had a £10 loyalty voucher, so got them for £4.50. What can you get for under a fiver these days? Not much!

Day 622 - Broken Heart Again, Another Lesson Learnt

Shoes: Black 'Morgan' Messeca

Where have I disappeared to this week? I hear you ask. Well you may not believe this (unless you're in the UK), but on Monday it was freezing and rained all day, so I didn't go out, Tuesday it got worse and we had...snow! I know, how ridiculous is that? We haven't had a drop of snow all winter, then April appears and we literally went from shorts and sunglasses one day to fleeces and scarfs and gloves the next! Thankfully it was more like sleet here and hasn't stuck, but there's like 7" in parts of Aberdeenshire and it's moved south today and there are areas of England covered in a blanket of the white stuff. It's all rather freaky, especially as we were getting such beautiful, warm weather before that. Anyhow, it was still cold today, but dry, so I ventured out. I've been desperate to wear my new Messeca shoes, but couldn't as I was only wearing British brands last month. They make me extremely tall, I was like a giant in these today!

Wearing: Floral dress George at Asda, black leggings, cardigan and red bird postcard print scarf all Primark.
Fit: Run a little small, the US8 fit me (UK5) perfectly.
Comfort: I think the zip/ankle strap section could rub at the heel, but very easy to walk in.

Day 594 - Standing In The Light Of Your Halo

Shoes: Curved glitter heel 'Presley' Topshop Premium

A quick post for today, because I'm sill sitting in my jammies at 6pm!  Needless to say I haven't been out today, so these shoes I sold the other week on eBay and seeing as you haven't seen them before, here they are.  I'd purchased a whole load of Topshop shoes and only kept those I really, really liked.  I did like these, but even although they were size larger they were still pretty tight across the foot.  I probably wouldn't have worn them much because of that, so off they went.  I love the chunky, curved heel and the style on the whole is quite unusual with the open toe, thick strap and contrast heel.

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: Just over 5" heel and just over 1" platform.  Definitely small/narrow.  I would suggest taking a whole size up.  Large stud closure on strap.
Comfort: As they were tight that would bother me after a while but they were easy to walk in.

Day Four Hundred & Eleven - Quick!

Shoes: Grey suede and pink 'Zayna' by Zandra Rhodes

Here's yesterdays shoes. I'm hoping to get out today when there's a break in my eBaying but we'll see! We've been having lovely weather this week, but I feel I've been too busy to really enjoy it-I fell asleep yesterday afternoon and then woke up in a panic that I had so much to do and had missed the sunshine!

Wearing: Straight out of bed and chucked on my (rather crushed) ASOS Curve floral maxi-the shoes were maybe an unusual choice to put with this dress, but I think it worked. Cardi ? and sunglasses ASOS.
Fit: True to size, perhaps a little tight across the foot on me. Heel 5 1/4", platform 1/2". Adjustable ties at heels.
Comfort: Wow, these shoes are so cushioned! Very comfy and easy walkers.

Day Four Hundred & One - I Wonder

Shoes: River Island 'Guest Wonder' black mules with leopard bow & heel

I've given you an extra shoe pic today, so you can see the leopard print heel on these. The bright pink trim really 'make' these shoes. Surprisingly they are very comfortable and easy to wear. I'm saying that because I'm almost crippled in my 'design forum' bow sandals which feature an identical heel. Not only that, mules are notoriously difficult to walk in, you have nothing keeping your foot inside the shoe and often resort to that scrunched toe effect to stop them slipping off. I'm happy to report no such issues with these though-perhaps the mule has moved on from my early 90's memories!

Wearing: Black leggings, sheer pink + black floral dress ASOS Curve.
Fit: 4 3/4" heel, true to size.
Comfort: Can't speak for wearing them for a long time, but I had no issues with walking or comfort.

Day Seventy Two - In Search Of Cadburys

The reason this post comes today and not yesterday is because I spent the entire day trying to get a Giles Deacon scarf! If you haven't heard the buzz; Giles designed the uber gorgeous spotty dress that the Caramel Bunny wears in the new Cadbury's Nibbles ad. He has also produced a Limited Edition scarf which was being sold in pop-up stores all over the internet. It was a race to find which shop opened, when and join the queue, hopefully bagging a scarf for free, before the doors shut and the store moved elsewhere. Sounds like fun, however there were some technical difficulties along the way which involved me sitting glued to my computer from 10am until around 4pm before things started hotting up. Around half 5, I was the proud owner of said scarf, phew! It was a superb idea which even involved the assistants speaking to you to confirm your address and you seeing your scarf wrapped in the jiffy bag addressed to you (how cool is that?). I typed my address so quickly that my 2-name town became one and I couldn't stop laughing when the poor assistant said it all in one word, oopsy! Anyway, hopefully the scarf will still get here in one piece. It's just a shame that the game was slightly spoilt by the 6 hour wait, but winning the scarf certainly made up for it, wonderful idea Cadbury's!Wearing lilac silk, slip on mules with wonderful brooch detail from TKMaxx. I wore these shoes to a friends wedding a few years ago, but think they will go on the 'for sale' pile as I never have the occasion to wear them nowadays.
