Day 792 - I Came Here With My Wrists All Blingin'

Shoes: Pink floral and metallic bow knee high boots Irregular Choice

I had a huge fall-out with my Mum over the weekend. It regarded my time spent on the computer (she doesn't realise the hours required to get my work done) and how I should be doing other things instead. Anyway, it was major and I ignored her for two whole days! Things are still a little strained now, but I'm so glad to get back to normality and on with some work, because blogging is the only thing keeping me sane right now. This outfit is from Saturday (you can send virtual hate-mail to my Mummy for it being so late) and I've 'winter-ised' this dress before with tights, but this time I thought I would try boots too. These boots are actually really difficult to style. I always struggle, as much as I love them, to do them justice really. Do you think they work with this dress and black tights/cardi? Do you try and get all-year-round wear out of normally 'summer' items?

Wearing: Floral dress Dorothy Perkins, black tights, hat and coat Primark, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: True to size, mine are a size larger and a little big in the foot but good in the leg. Full length zip. Almost 4" carved perspex heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

  1. Awww i used to have rows with my mum as well when i lived at home...i think as i got older it became harder and harder to share a living space. I only moved out when i was 29. It will all blow over soon. Loving these boots though, proper girly :) x

    1. It is hard; I found it really difficult moving back home at the start of my illness after being so independent. For the most part we get on, but I'm just not in a good head-space for her just now!

  3. Ooh, the dress and boots work really well together- they are really cute by the way- I'd love to wear them except for the height! I almost bought a Peacocks Pearl Lowe dress at the weekend from that new collection (the one you have)-shame is, they had stacks of the dresses and the jumpsuit but the only one in my size was the jumpsuit which wasn't my colour (beige and me yuck!), it's a pity as they were only £15!)

  5. Dont take the row with your mum to heart-it will blow over. Now my mum is a whole other story lol-only just starting to speak again after being estranged for 4 years!! I love your disney villian dolls btw!-my lovely friends got me the bag and the purse for xmas!! The bag was in the sale in my local shop for £9 if you are interested ;0)

    1. Oh my, I can't imagine not speaking to mine for so long! Thankfully things are mended for now between us. Yes, I love my Cruella, she's just amazing...was so excited to get the others in the sale so cheaply! I bought some of the notebooks too because they were so gorgeous.

  6. I find I used to argue with my parents quite a bit when I lived with them - in some cases distance truly makes the heart fonder for in our case now that I rent a flat 10 minutes away from them by tram we have an almost perfect relationship :) (they like to meddle)

    love the boots!

    1. thank you, yes it's difficult being at home, I miss my independence, but simply am not capable of looking after myself nor could I afford it whilst ill, so I'm very thankful that they 'took me in'!
