Day One Hundred & Forty Eight - Candyfloss & Frills

I have a mixed feeling to my new hair, I hated it at first, but now I've played around with it, I may be getting used to it. It's much shorter which I quite like and candyfloss pink, but I'm still a little unsure. Got a busy day ahead, so just a quick photo today.

Day One Hundred & Forty Seven - Revealed

So todays shoes are exactly the same as Fridays, but to reveal the cute feature, a peep heel! I can remember thinking these were the coolest thing when I bought them. A peep heel! The bow accentuates and the bright pink flashing from the inside looks great.

Day One Hundred & Forty Six - Anything Unusual?

I was busy colouring and cutting my hair yesterday, so didn't go out anywhere and didn't have time to take pictures for the blog. So something a little different today. The same shoes but from totally different angles. Just a pair of unsuspecting peep toes right?

Day One Hundred & Forty Five - Sugar, Sugar!

A miserable day, weather wise (again!), but I'm in good spirits, having just spent nearly £60 on two lipglosses and a cleanser at Lancome. I was absolutely in my element, covered in sparkles! Update on the boy-facebook situation, I hope he hasn't found this blog, because he sent me another reply saying he hoped he hadn't put me on the spot...do you think this is because I had logged into facebook without replying to the 2 emails he sent? I had convinced myself I was overreacting, but if he's checking when I log onto facebook??? Beautiful boots today that got many admiring glances.

Day One Hundred & Forty Four - Face Up

I don't know what was worse today, the contraptions my dentist was putting in my mouth or standing outside in the wind, rain and snow for 20 mins to get back home! Not one of my best mornings, it has to be said. It's freezing and miserable and horrid. Unintentionally I must wear Irregular Choice shoes when I visit the dentist, because the nurse always checks to see what picture is on the soles when I sit in the chair. Today I wasn't wearing IC, but they do have a really cute girl logo on the sole and just as well, because the nurse checked the moment I sat down!

Day One Hundred & Forty Three - Strawberry Moonlight

Peep-toes probably aren't the most practical of footwear to wear in the snow, but they do have a non-slip sole and when have I ever thought 'practical'? I love Miss L Fire shoes, always quirky and cutesy, very unique. These feature a gold strawberry print and have little sparkling flecks all over the fabric. They are as beautiful inside as out (leopard print) and have a gold metallic heel. Not the highest of heels in my collection, but a great design.

Day One Hundred & Forty Two - The Grey Side

I don't know where the time has gone to today. It seems to have taken the entire day to take a few photos and edit them. It snowed last night, which I was ridiculously excited about (even after wishing it would go away when it was bad in Dec/Jan-two faced I know), anyway it was really pretty, I wanted to stay up all night watching it fall. It' so silent when it's like that, I love it. Once again though the sun came out today and melted the entire other side of our street, but it's still quite deep here where it didn't get the warmth.

Day One Hundred & Forty One - Red Faced And Purple Footed

Oh I'm having one of those days! I've just been giggling, like a teenager, about the situations I get myself into. It's boy related and lets just say I haven't had any 'male relations' for a very looong time, so am unsure how to handle this. I'm avoiding facebook where said stuff is going down, very mature I know! You wouldn't think I was almost 30. That was all very cryptic wasn't it? I'm sure I'm just being overly paranoid and wish I had my girlfriends here to decipher man-talk, but I think asking you out twice within one day and messaging you three times with me only replying once, is slightly desperate, no? I'm a cow. Ok onto shoesies, something I don't need anyone to translate. I didn't do the Bambi ice routine today as I was busy photographing swatches for Pink Haired Princess (luscious NYX stuff if you're interested). I did pop on these ankle boots though. They are super comfortable because they are like a sock with heel and sole on the end. Made from stretchy fabric, they have this contrasting patent section up the back and yes, they are the same as the black pair I wore a few days ago, well spotted!

Day One Hundred & Forty - Bambi Or Granny

Today I bring you my most 'sensible' pair of shoes/boots. It's really snowy and icy out there and I didn't fancy looking like Bambi on ice (I actually looked more like a Granny learning to walk!), however, I brought out my trusty rubber sole wedge boots. Ok, so they still have a 3 1/2" heel, but that's practically flat for me. They are a lovely burgundy shade and brown leather when folded down. I wore mine 'up' today but perhaps if this weather pursues, I'll need to wear them again with the flap down, would that be cheating or count as another pair of shoes? Lol.

Day One Hundred & Thirty Nine - Snowing Cats!

Just back from a walk in the snow! It's been bright and sunny all day, then when I decided to step out the door, it started snowing. Doesn't seem like it's going to come to anything though...unfortunately! I also own these boots in black, but this turquoise pair seem harder and less comfortable than the other. Maybe because they are newer and need breaking in.

Day One Hundred & Thirty Eight - If It's Out, It's In?

I'm having another clear-out, so my room currently resembles a shoe shop, there's shoes and boxes everywhere! Actually that wouldn't make it that different from normal, it's just messier! I still have a couple of boxes out in our shed of shoes that I haven't worn for at least 8 years. I'm hoping in the summer months (too cold, dirty and spidery just now) to go out and see what's there and of course force myself to wear them for the blog-let's hope there aren't too many horrors! I think I recall an old-fashioned chunky heeled, floral satin, court shoe (Carvela?) that I bought when I was 17 (12 years ago) that have probably come back into fashion now!

Day One Hundred & Thirty Seven - Bonus Points

Was super busy yesterday, so I apologise for the late post. I have a real thing for lace, I adore it and therefore have amassed several pairs of lace shoes over the years. These little round toed cuties also feature a huge bow, another favourite shoe feature of mine!

Day One Hundred & Thirty Six - Tall Order

Another leggy shot today! I've actually included two images because in one you see the shoes better but I really liked the angled, back view of the other. Apparently it's snowing in the surrounding area today, however it's bright sunshine here-although it is cold, so I'm off out for a short walk. I feel like a giant in these heels, they really are huge.

Day One Hundred & Thirty Five - When Is It Too Much?

A lot of people ask if this blog has influenced my shoe buying habits and if my collection has grown since starting the blog. I actually think it's had the opposite effect and I'll tell you why. I've discovered really old pairs I'd forgotten about and although I loved them at the time of purchase, I wouldn't really wear them now. So I've worn them one more time for the blog (like todays boots) then either sold them, taken them to the charity shop or they've gone to the giant shoe shop in the sky (eep!). I've probably done this with 60+ pairs in the past year, so that has drastically reduced my stash. I'm also very aware of the fact that I've managed to (quite easily) throw out so many pairs and it seems so wasteful, so I try now to buy really special styles and not every pair in sight that I "like". My collection nowadays is definitely filled with more 'love them' than 'like them' pairs! That said, of course I still buy lots, simply because I adore shoes, I really love them. I don't want this blog to finish anytime soon due to a shortage of shoes because I'm enjoying it, but I'm really showcasing my collection, new and old, good and bad and the new pairs would still be there with or without this blog!

Day One Hundred & Thirty Four - Ride 'em!

I bought these last year and they are a strange choice for me, I'm not fond of the contrasting stitching and cowboy-boot details, but I really like the shape of the platform and the high heel. It can be quite difficult to find cute winter boots with a high enough heel and especially with a platform. They are actually a lot nicer on, than I remembered and very comfortable. Happy V Day everyone!

Day One Hundred & Thirty Three - A Little Cheat

Yep, that's right, a little cheat today because I'm feeling like crap and really don't fancy digging out a pair of shoes much less going anywhere in them. I ordered these shoes yesterday and have had my eye on them for a good while. They arrived today and I'm just a little disappointed. They don't *look* that expensive, until you see the details up close, plus they are too big for me. I thought I might need a size up, but due to the conversion from US sizing, I think these are 1 1/2 or 2 sizes too big, so they are going back. A lemming killed!

Day One Hundred & Thirty Two - Heel Toe, Heel Toe

An apology first of all for no post yesterday. I was looking after my two little nephews and there wasn't a spare minute to take any photos, plus I didn't go out all day so never wore any shoes. I'm shattered today though, both boys are extremely cute (I'm sure all Aunts say that) but very tiring! Now onto todays beautiful and bright shoes. It's not often I find it difficult to walk in heels, but I was nearly struggling with these. The placement of the heel (it goes straight down from the back of the shoe) means you really have to walk heel first and kind of build up momentum to bounce along so it doesn't look too awkward. Also I think I've become used to wearing platforms and these have a 4 3/4" heel without any at all, so definitely not dancing shoes! I love the large buckle fastening though, it's so easy, no fussing with elasticated buttons or tiny little buckles!

Day One Hundred & Thirty One - Looks Can Be Deceiving

A beautiful sunny day today, but freezing once you're outside. I decided to go with the weather and wear a more summery shoe but team it with lacy socks for a little bit of warmth. These shoes look incredibly high, but actually your foot feels very flat in them, I suppose the large platform reduces the heel height.

Day One Hundred & Thirty - No Frills

Hello, how are you all? It's taking me forever to do things today, I really can't be bothered. It's 4 o'clock already and I haven't really done anything yet. This is about my third outfit of the day and 2nd change of shoes, because I'm being so indecisive. These are my ruffle shoes without the frilly bit (obviously). I really like that you can change the ruffles between the other colours of shoes or wear them without. They are totally gorgeous both ways!

Day One Hundred & Twenty Nine - Skate On Thin Ice

Had a lovely day shopping today. You know that way when you're not looking for anything, you find lots to buy? I got a couple of dresses, some makeup and lots more jewellery and some unexpected bargains! I'll be posting pics this week on Pink Haired Princess, so be sure to check that out. Today, it is beyond freezing, brrrr! My toes were like ice in these ankle boots, but aren't they super cute? Like little skating boots.

No Posts This Weekend

Sorry no posts, I'm taking a break for a few days and I've been catching up with my little nephews. I haven't seen them for over a month, so spending some well deserved time with them (playing 'fire-engines' doesn't involve wearing shoes, so you're not missing anything yet). Be back on Monday, have a good weekend!

Day One Hundred & Twenty Eight - Grey Area

I totally planned my outfit around wearing a certain pair of knee high boots today, then thought it was too warm outside for them and changed my mind. As it turns out, it was a lot colder than it looked and I probably should have stayed with my first choice. However, a lovely pair of ankle boots today, which are a little odd because although they are a peep toe, you can't actually see your toes! Anyway, I've worn these lots and really like them, super soft suede and in neutral grey which pretty much goes with everything.

Day One Hundred & Twenty Seven - Toothtastic

An earlier post today as I've just come back from the dentist, eugh! Actually it wasn't too bad, just have to go back for some little bits, no fillings, phew! It's really cold today although we seem to be the only place in Scotland without snow, so I needed to wear cosy knee high boots. These boots are a size larger than I usually take, but they were the only pair left and I had to have them. I probably need the bigger size for the leg anyway, although they are a little roomy in the foot. They feature a fabulous upturned toe and gold metallic platform insert. The dental nurse commented that I looked rather sedate for a change, until she saw the bright red soles of my boots with a little dolly image!

Day One Hundred & Twenty Six - Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow

I shouldn't have made that the title of this post, I hate that Kylie song and it'll be in my head all day! The reason for it though is the name of the todays shoes, 'Wowzers' and that they are. I loved this puffy, layered heel that was introduced for AW 08/09. These shoes are quite masculine for me, but I think they work well when put together with something ultra girly and my wardrobe is brimming with that! I teamed it with a floral dress and these shiny, snake print leggings and I liked the difference in textures and styles.

Day One Hundred & Twenty Five - Plushness

Rocking my green velvet, wooden heeled platforms today, aren't they gorgeous? Did you see Lady Gaga in all her glory at the Grammys last night? She looked incredible, totally insane, but incredible.
