Day 673 - Her Beauty Is Like A Bunch Of Rose

Shoes: Black strappy jelly sandals Jean Paul Gaultier & Melissa

Hello my pretties!  Time just got away from me yesterday and I seemed to have trouble narrowing down the pictures I took as these shoes just photograph so well.  I bought them in December 2010 (!) and they were sitting in their box at the bottom of a massive pile of other shoes boxes, so have been rather inaccessible for years.  At the weekend when I was tidying, I 'rescued them', so I could get some wear out of them during the nice weather.  I always thought they were a bit tight fitting and they are, but comfortably so (although they do leave horrendous strap marks!). I love that enclosed feeling, strappy shoes give you, like you're completely contained? Hard to explain!  Anyway, I can see myself wearing these a lot more now, they felt fab and you would never guess you were teetering on such a slim heel.

Wearing:  Floral dip hem dress H! by Henry Holland (Debenhams), bow cardigan New Look, 'Nikita' sunglasses Tom Ford, turquoise hair bows H&M.
Fit: Run a little small, definitely a smaller/tighter fit than Vivienne Westwood/Melissa shoes. Adjustable buckle fastening. Heel 4 1/4".
Comfort: Easy to walk in and they might feel super tight after a while, but I didn't have any issues yesterday.

Day 672 - Mira Esta Que On That Red Carpet

Shoes: Pink suede 'Candyfloss' Irregular Choice

I'd been searching through my shoe-collection for stuff to sell on eBay at the weekend (turns out I found too many things and ran out of time to list them all).  I sent my sister into the depths of my Irregular Choice shoe-closet (never to return!!), as she's a miniature thing and can access it easier than I can!  We were in fits of laughter as she was wedged between piles of boxes and wardrobe doors, trying to describe which shoes were what, poor wee thing!  I kinda had one of those 'OMG I have way too much stuff' moments, so I'll be trying to sell a lot over the next few months!  Anyway I discovered these shoes which have remained unworn for years.  I considered selling them, but decided to wear them today.  They're pretty cute, so I'm still a bit undecided on whether or not I can give them up!

Wearing:  Flamingo dress and black leggings Primark, 'Mischief' sunglasses Irregular Choice, cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, scarf Fafi/MAC.
Fit:  Run small, these are a 5.5 and 'just' fit me. 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort:  They need breaking in for sure!  I honestly thought they'd entirely severed my little toe off (fyi they hadn't)!  A nice thick cushioned sole underfoot though.

Day 671 - You Carried Me Like A River

Shoes: Black lace 'Chica' Shoemissy Shoes: Gold distressed 'Spatz' Irregular Choice

Ooh what's this, a double shoe-post? Yes it freakin' is!  Well yesterday was a bit of a bleugh day. It was lashing with rain, non-stop and we had someone fixing the downstairs toilet while two others were in the bathroom upstairs sorting the bath and tiles! It was kinda manic (cue me running around trying to get breakfast and get dressed without being caught in my jammies!), and Mum had already promised that we'd go shopping.  Of course I wasn't keen to venture out in the rain, but was desperate to get away from the work in the house and just desperate to get out (it's been a long time since I've been shopping). I was wearing these shoes...then right before I left the house, I thought it was silly to wear them in rain (I mean it was torrential!). I grabbed the first pair of 'sensible' shoes I could find, even if I did already wear them with this dress back in March. I don't really have a rainy-day wardrobe at my fingertips! You may also notice I changed the rings on my right hand and instead wore my jewelled fox ring (Evans) and added my vintage-esque glasses. I was struggling for time for photos; couldn't take them anywhere I'd be seen by workmen (!) and the daylight had passed (if any) by the time we got home.  I did get stopped by a girl in Debenhams who just had to tell me how much she loved my boots (she even knew they were IC) and then the rest of the dressing-room staff had to paw over them in agreement!

Wearing: Red lace collar dress H by Henry Holland, black leggings, spotty coat, cardigan, boat scarf, stag, owl and owls on branch rings all Primark, deer ring Topshop, spotty bag Gossipi, glasses Claire's and bow brooch my Granny's.
Chica shoes:
Fit:  True to size, just under 4" heel.
Comfort:  Didn't wear these shoes anywhere but can't see any issues with them.
Spatz boots:
Fit: True to size (the buttons do come out if you need to get on and off), 4 1/4" heel.
Comfort: No problems with these and a nice cosy velvet lining!

Day 670 - My Mind’s Filled With A Thousand Thoughts Of You

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

This dress is sooo pretty.  It's got a really fun, flirty shape even if I do struggle with dresses being too tight across the bust but massive in the waist and armholes.  I always wear a cardi anyway, so it's not noticeable.  I love the flamingo print and the skirt is really full, but I didn't realise how windy it was yesterday.  Stepped out the front door and skirt up round my neck, Marilyn style!  Our doorstep seems to always have a bit of a a whirlwind thing going on, so I persevered and clung to the skirt all the way along the road and back again!  I don't mind so much if I have leggings on, but bare legs and windy days are no good! Let's just say I was glad to get home especially as my walk involved walking past several workmen who had nothing better to do than watch me battle with my dress!

Wearing:  Cream and navy flamingo dress and swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, shoe scarf gift, 'Mischief' sunglasses Irregular Choice, earrings Claire's.
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.

Day 669 - In My Dreams You Are Still Here

Shoes: Brown studded sandals Primark

Good evening chickadees!  I feel like I've kinda lost my mojo this past week or so.  My outfits either don't feel that great or aren't coming across well in the pics.  This dress is absolutely beautiful, so I thought it would be a good choice, but the photos make it look kinda unflattering (I really don't look amused in the full-length shot do I?)!  It's only a size 16, so I was chuffed to bits it fitted, but I don't think I'm doing it justice here...think I got the proportions wrong perhaps or the cardi made it look frumpy!  It just hits my knee, so I don't think I'd be comfortable bare-legged in it to be honest, plus it wasn't warm enough for that today, so I felt I needed the leggings (tights seemed too wintery).  Anyhow, it was another outfit that just kinda happened along the way when actually I'd planned on wearing several other things!

Wearing: Blue floral dress H by Henry Holland (Debenhams), navy leggings Primark, shoe scarf gift, swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, tan belt (taken from dress H by Henry Holland).
Fit: True to size, 2 adjustable buckles fastenings, 4 1/2" heel and small platform.
Comfort: A bit of a struggle to get on and off (and they leave horrendous trap-marks) but comfortable and easy to walk in.
