Day 836 - Live Your Dreams, It's Not As Hard As It May Seem

Shoes: Embellished suede courts Miu Miu

I was having an off-day today (really irritable) and just didn't feel or look comfortable in anything. I was originally wearing a dress I bought last week, but had a wee strop (we all have one of them every so often don't we?) so decided on something else (although still felt hideously 'booby' in this too)! This dress has never been worn before either though. My Mum picked it up for me when she was on holiday last summer as it had sold out in my size in our nearest Debenhams when it had gone into the sale. It has a cut-out section in the back bodice with little bows, but I couldn't figure out how I'd photograph that (!) so you'll just have to take my word for it! I have to tell you what happened on my walk today...I used to be so terrified of dogs that I crossed to the other side when I saw one coming, but I'm slightly better now. So this woman and child were coming towards me with a dog each. The wee girl passed me, fine, the woman though, I could just tell her dog was going to do something as she didn't have it on a short lead or make any motion to keep it out of my way. I went to the outside of the pavement while it was on the inside on the grass, next thing it spied me and bam, pounced at my feet! Yikes! Even although I was wearing sunglasses, I totally gave the woman the evils! I wanted to yell "these are Miu Miu's don't you know!!" "and suede!...Keep your fluffy mutt off them"!!

Wearing: Spotty dress H By Henry Holland, suede leggings and floral coat Primark, swallow cardigan Dorothy Perkins, earrings Mawi, shoe scarf gift.
Fit: True to size, if anything, a little long. Heel 4 1/2".
Comfort: No issues.

Day 835 - Here In The Darkness I Know Myself

Shoes: Black suede 'Joan' KG by Kurt Geiger

Hello my lovelies! It was quite cloudy today, although it felt spring-like. My outfit was built around my makeup for Monster High Monday which involved bright green eyes and an orangey red, bold lip. Not colours I would normally pair together, but for the sake of the challenge, I figured wearing a bright red dress would at least half match! Sadly the tights, as comfortable as they were (for once they actually fitted me and went up around my waist) ripped when I sat down for lunch and the hole got progressively bigger throughout the day, so they'll be binned tonight! Had it not been for the fact I took a break from eBay, these shoes would have been long gone. I got them last year after eyeing them for months and then they didn't fit. After several attempts, I did get my feet in them, but they felt far too small, so I was going to sell them next time I was eBaying. Today I randomly decided to try them on and I think these tights helped as my feet slipped straight in, although it's a snug fit. I can't decide whether or not to keep them now!

Wearing: Red floral tea dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black bow tights and coat Primark, 'Mischief' sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: Small and narrow fitting, buckle fastening. 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Actually ok, although my pace was slower and I took smaller steps. I think so long as you concentrate on where you're walking (avoiding stones and uneven surfaces) you should be fine.

Day 834 - I'm More Than What You've Made Of Me

Shoes: Amethyst globe 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

A wee bonus post today as this is finally my outfit from exactly 2 weeks ago now! It just kinda got lost along the way when I didn't have time to post it. Judging from the outfit, it was a beautiful day a fortnight ago-I can't say I'd be popping out in sheer tights and light dress and jelly shoes this week! I absolutely adore this dress, the print is so pretty and the shape of the dress is Pearl Lowe at it's best. I do wish it were slightly longer though because it tends to rise at the back on me and I'm self conscious of my butt sticking out the bottom, especially when the dress is sheer! The colour poses a big problem for me though. Peacocks described it as navy, then when it arrived it was more purple. It's a colour that doesn't really work that well with black anyway, so what shoes/tights/cardigan am I supposed to wear with it? This is why it's taken me so long to wear a dress I love! Thankfully the sunshine this day let me get away without a cardigan and with sheer nude tights, the shoes were perfect with it. I can't say I've got dozens of styling ideas for this in the future though..how would you wear it or how do you wear yours?

Wearing: Ballerina print tea dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, gold superstar tights House of Holland, floral coat Primark, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, true to size (narrow in the toe).
Comfort: After a few hours they can crush the toes.

Day 833 - Don't Let What They Say Keep You Up At Night

Shoes: Nude satin 'Bailey' KG by Kurt Geiger

Hello! This is my outfit from yesterday, featuring a new pair of shoes (although I've had them since last year). They are really rather stunning, much prettier on than I expected and there's a little leather bow across the toe and different shaped flower adornments. The nude satin lends itself to being a 'dressier' type of shoe, so I added the cardigan to make it a bit more casual for everyday. This is another item I've had for a while but never quite known what to wear it with. I took a couple of sizes down and even then it still feels quite roomy (although that's how it's supposed to be), the sleeves are shorter but wide which I'm not keen on. I'd much rather they were fitted as they just sit there rather limply. The dress is one of my favourites, the skirt is so full and flirty and it has a really defined waist and well the kissing birds are adorable!

Wearing: Kissing bird print dress, black leggings and coat Primark, clover cardigan Swan by Clements Ribeiro, black belt Dorothy Perkins.
Fit: True to size, 4 3/4" heel.
Comfort: Quite high, but they didn't rub anywhere, not bad for a first outing.

Day 832 - That Would Be Like Pouring Rain Drops Back Into A Cloud

Shoes: Blue tartan 'Heather' Irregular Choice

Hello, I'm a little later tonight with this post as I've been sorting through images all day, trying to prioritise upcoming posts!  I felt like a lot of colour today and this dress never disappoints, it's so vivid and fun!  I have to admit it was a little tighter across the chest than it used to be given I've gained some weight since last summer, but it was still comfortable enough.  These shoes looked great with it, picking out some colours without being too matchy-matchy.  When I was out on my walk, this old man on a bike passed me, took one look and started chuckling out loud all along the road.  There was nobody else around so he must have been laughing at me or else he's a little loopy-loo and just laughs out loud at nothing.  Oh well glad I cheered him up, even if he was laughing at me rather than with me!

Wearing: Fish print dress, suede leggings and coat all Primark, cardigan Bonmarche, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: Slightly roomy in my regular size. 4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.
