Day 946 - I'm Mad You Think I Hurt You

Shoes: Nude satin 'Bailey' KG by Kurt Geiger

Today was a bit of a strange day. I was late to bed last night (getting stuck back into eBay-nothing exciting!), then rudely awakened by the workmen (at a ridiculous hour)-cue whole house shaking, drilling and banging like you've never heard! So I got up, did a little internet shopping, had a shower and usually I would write the rest of the day off, but I got dressed and went out for a walk. I knew the forecast was for torrential rain tomorrow and as I haven't been out much lately, I wanted some fresh air while I could. Plus I miss doing my outfit posts when I'm stuck in my jammies all day!  So I suppose the early start was actually a help to me.  I didn't manage a Monster High Monday makeup look again this week sadly, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of it again soon.

Wearing: Heart print dress and tights Primark, red patent belt and horse scarf gifts, black cardigan Red Herring.
Fit: True to size, 4 3/4" heel.
Comfort: Aching arches, but they don't rub and are easy enough to walk in.

Day 871 - Let Me Tell You Now There Are Prices To Fame Alright

Shoes: Nude satin 'Bailey' KG by Kurt Geiger

Hello chickies! This is one pair of shoes I wouldn't be packing on my trip, my poor wee arches were aching after wearing them for around an hour! I'm staying overnight in Glasgow next week and it's the first time I've been let out of my cave in a looong time. I'm trying to plan my packing well in advance (have always hated packing), but I'm struggling with the narrowing it down to only one pair of shoes thing! Or at least one pair that will go with three outfits and be comfortable enough for me to walk around in day and night without hurting my tootsies. Plus I have no idea of the weather, realistically it could be snow or bright sunshine you know?! I'm considering my Bertie 'Superstar' boots, Jeffrey Campbell Lita's or Irregular Choice...Making Moves or Spatz boots. They all seem quite wintry and it's only the MM that are 'exciting'...oh my pink satin Miu Miu's were another contender.  At the same time I'm trying to figure out dresses that would go with them all. Then I have to downsize the makeup/skincare, hmmm, could you imagine what I'd be like going away for a fortnight? Best not visualise that.

Wearing: Floral wiggle pencil dress ASOS, nude house tights Henry Holland, pink belt Dorothy Perkins.
Fit: True to size, 4 3/4" heel.
Comfort: Aching arches, but they don't rub and are easy enough to walk in.

Day 855 - And I Don't Even Know His Last Name

Shoes: Black 'Eternity' KG by Kurt Geiger

I like dresses that you can wear no matter what the season.  Ok, so this one is very lightweight and floaty and possibly wouldn't keep you very warm on the coldest day, but it still has that transitional quality where it doesn't have to be worn just "one way" i.e. bare legged in the heat.  Had it not had the large sash around the middle I'd have probably put on a black belt to break up the block of lilac too.  One thing though, it was very tight across the chest...think someone has been eating too many easter eggs since last summer!  It was so sunny yesterday that I left the house actually feeling quite wintry with my black tights and shoes!  You can never win in this weather.

Wearing:  Lilac polka dot midi dress Dorothy Perkins, black cardigan Bonmarche, tights and pearl hair bow Primark, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: 5" heel, 3/4" concealed platform, snug fit but opt for your regular size.
Comfort: Quite a hard shoe and a little achy after a while, but easy to walk in.

Day 835 - Here In The Darkness I Know Myself

Shoes: Black suede 'Joan' KG by Kurt Geiger

Hello my lovelies! It was quite cloudy today, although it felt spring-like. My outfit was built around my makeup for Monster High Monday which involved bright green eyes and an orangey red, bold lip. Not colours I would normally pair together, but for the sake of the challenge, I figured wearing a bright red dress would at least half match! Sadly the tights, as comfortable as they were (for once they actually fitted me and went up around my waist) ripped when I sat down for lunch and the hole got progressively bigger throughout the day, so they'll be binned tonight! Had it not been for the fact I took a break from eBay, these shoes would have been long gone. I got them last year after eyeing them for months and then they didn't fit. After several attempts, I did get my feet in them, but they felt far too small, so I was going to sell them next time I was eBaying. Today I randomly decided to try them on and I think these tights helped as my feet slipped straight in, although it's a snug fit. I can't decide whether or not to keep them now!

Wearing: Red floral tea dress Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, black bow tights and coat Primark, 'Mischief' sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: Small and narrow fitting, buckle fastening. 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Actually ok, although my pace was slower and I took smaller steps. I think so long as you concentrate on where you're walking (avoiding stones and uneven surfaces) you should be fine.

Day 833 - Don't Let What They Say Keep You Up At Night

Shoes: Nude satin 'Bailey' KG by Kurt Geiger

Hello! This is my outfit from yesterday, featuring a new pair of shoes (although I've had them since last year). They are really rather stunning, much prettier on than I expected and there's a little leather bow across the toe and different shaped flower adornments. The nude satin lends itself to being a 'dressier' type of shoe, so I added the cardigan to make it a bit more casual for everyday. This is another item I've had for a while but never quite known what to wear it with. I took a couple of sizes down and even then it still feels quite roomy (although that's how it's supposed to be), the sleeves are shorter but wide which I'm not keen on. I'd much rather they were fitted as they just sit there rather limply. The dress is one of my favourites, the skirt is so full and flirty and it has a really defined waist and well the kissing birds are adorable!

Wearing: Kissing bird print dress, black leggings and coat Primark, clover cardigan Swan by Clements Ribeiro, black belt Dorothy Perkins.
Fit: True to size, 4 3/4" heel.
Comfort: Quite high, but they didn't rub anywhere, not bad for a first outing.
