Day 1022 - Shoesday Tuesday

Wearing Jeffrey Campbell Icy Doll Head Wedge
Shoes: Black suede Icy (doll) Jeffrey Campbell

Remember a while back, I asked which shoes you'd like to see next? "Doll" was an option and here they are! I told you they were crazy!! Safe to say I had my eye on these for years though.
I finally found a pair in my size at a price I liked (sale, plus an extra 20% off) because naturally they were rather pricey.  I ordered a size up, because I'd heard they ran small and also because they'd sold out of my usual size. I'm glad that was my only option because I concur, they are small. The 6/39 is even narrow and snug fitting, so there's no way I'd have managed the 5/38. There's a small side zip, but they are quite tricky to manoeuvre into.  They also feel VERY high!  I was dipping in doorways so my head didn't hit the frame!  I'm not used to wearing such high heels these days.  The dolls face outwards, with two on top of each other facing forwards on the back of the heel.  Their hair is gathered together and neatly swept along the inside of the wedge heel.  They've got rather hilarious 80's style makeup (some are slightly different) and pink streaks in their hair and are not genuine Barbie dolls like some people think.  Yes, it seems kinda cruel placing bodyless doll heads in a clear wedge heel, but putting that aside, they are most definitely fun, striking and rather unique.  I've linked to the glitter filled ones above as I'm not sure anywhere in the UK has the dolls now (you also get a male doll head version btw).  What do you think of these Jeffrey Campbell wedges?

Fit: 2" platform, 6" heel. Inside zip. Small and narrow, take a full size up.
Comfort:  Feel very high and sole is quite narrow, but got a good rubber grip.   Jeffrey Campbell Icy Doll Head Wedge Jeffrey Campbell Icy Doll Head Wedge Detail

  1. Some styles and brands have so narrow and small fit shoes... it's true. And the 80s makeup is cool :) These shoes (boots) are so creative! Eyecatcher, no doubt!
