Day 1021 - Shoesday Tuesday

Wearing Irregular Choice Roarsum floral dinosaur shoes
Shoes: Floral 'Roarsum' dinosaur heels Irregular Choice

A little break from the panda heels, instead we're going prehistoric, with dinosaurs! I was too excited with these new shoes, not to show them this week and actually I barely managed to withhold these photos until today!
I pretty much said everything I needed to in my original post, but I do have some updates. I hinted that I thought the metallic lining could irritate the foot and I was right. "Irritating" is the best word to describe it, it was really annoying me for the short time I wore them for this shoot. Even standing still, I could feel it!  It doesn't necessarily rub or scratch, it's more a combo of both and it doesn't feel pleasant (seems to be the straps more than the shoe), though I wasn't left with any marks or scratches on my feet after removing the shoes (so it is just an irritant).  I thought because I'd not worn very high heels for some time, I'd maybe struggle with these, but they are actually very comfortable and easy to walk in (but I am very tall in them).  They feel pretty steady.  The shoe itself is lightweight, even with that gigantic rubber platform, but it's the heel that's pretty heavy.  I did 'clink' my dino arms together a few times, so I will have to remember to try and keep my feet apart!  I adjusted the straps for the perfect fit (tightened the top two and let out a couple of lower ones), as you can probably see above, the top strap I pulled in considerably because it was gaping and I wanted a tight fit (I'm not sure if this is helping the lining issue or making it worse).  Your ankle to foot ratio looks extreme in these, your foot is chunky and ankle tiny!  Now I'm able to take them on and off using the zip and ignoring the buckles (just), though I do some jiggling of my toes (3rd and 4th like to bend themselves under and not sit properly).  Even although the heel is the main attraction, I do love the look of these from the front, but then I'm a sucker for lots of buckles (Bertie 'Superstar' anyone?).  I hope the lining issue maybe gets better with wear or somehow rectifies itself, because I don't want it to put me off wearing these as they are otherwise gorgeous.  I said it before, but I really didn't expect to love these so much.  What do you think of them?

Fit: 5 1/2" heel and 2" platform. Inside zip and fully adjustable buckles on each strap.  I found my usual size big enough.
Comfort: Not quite sure what to do about that annoying lining (other than wearing socks, which I'm not particularly wanting to do), but surprisingly easy to walk in despite the height. floral patent strappy shoes with rubber platform shown on the foot from the frontdinosaur heeled character heel shoes with floral uppers on footclose up of dinosaur heel on shoe

    1. My sister hates the exposed toes and my Mum isn't keen on the buckles. Definitely different to previous character heels.

  2. Oh my goodness, they are so high! I have chubby feet so I'm pretty sure I'd 'squish' out of the straps, not one for me :p xx

    1. I thought I would! I always size up and didn't with these, so expected the straps to be too tight and my feet to bulge out them! Very happy with them in the end x
