Day 912 - Tonight We’ll Just Get Drunk, Disturb The Peace
Shoes: Pink 'Bucks Fizz' Shoemissy
When was the last time you saw these shoes? A few years ago if memory serves me correctly. Rather than go down the route of choosing blue, I wanted to pick out the brighter colours in the dress and these shoes are almost an identical shade of pink. I actually won them years ago, in a photography competition. Winning shoes has to be the coolest thing ever! Our weather has taken a bit of a turn this week and although it's still warm enough to go out without a cardigan, it's cooler and we've had some heavy rain or showers. I'm not sure if summer is over for us now or what. It probably is after me sorting through my wardrobe looking for suitable summer clothes, typical! How is your summer shaping up so far?

Day 911 - There's No Working You Out Whatsoever
Shoes: Pink 'Got The Hump' Dan Sullivan
So before I could get all the 'deboxing' photos of these shoes up, I've already worn them! If you follow my Facebook, you'll know that I struggled to make a decision on which colourway to pick. In the end I went for the navy as they have always been the colour I've been most attracted to, even if the pink were probably slightly more wearable/more likely to fit in with my wardrobe (I'm saying that because the trim is black on the pink pair). When they arrived though I got a pink pair in a 'navy' labelled box, so the decision was made for me! There wasn't much difference between the colours in all honesty and I still love them, so didn't see the point in sending them back (plus the other colour had sold out by then). My pair have a lot of blue in them anyway along with the white, black, orange, green and pink. Size-wise they fit perfectly. My toes tend to scrunch as I'm putting the shoe on, but there's room to fix that through the peep-toe once the shoe is on. The heel runs a little large (if I'm nit-picking) a bit like the Irregular Choice 'Long Lashes' boots, but it's very slight. I am incredibly tall in these though, I felt like a giant (apparently that's possible at 5 ft 5"). I had absolutely no issues walking in them, they felt 'safe' enough and there's a nice solid base to walk on.
Wearing: Goldfish dress H By Henry Holland, leggings Primark, limited edition flower hair clip ASOS.
Fit: True to size. 6" heel and 1 1/2" platform.
Comfort: No issues with these on their first outing.

Day 910 - Turn To A Hottie And Go Whine Up Your Waist
Shoes: Fuchsia 'Harem Harlequin' Irregular Choice
I don't think I've ever photographed these shoes from the front before, so that was my main reason for choosing the image above. They are the type that are interesting from every angle, with swirly stitching even trailing all around the sides and back. I went shopping on Wednesday (this outfit), but almost came home empty handed, had it not been for the bargain handbag I picked up. It's J by Jasper Conran at Debenhams and was drastically reduced and was the only one left on the shelf (I can't see it online). I took some photos of it yesterday, so I'll have to get them up on Pink Haired Princess, but it's shaped kinda like the Prada pyramid bag which I drooled over for months. Unless I win the Euro Millions tonight (unlikely considering I don't have a ticket), then the Prada will never be mine, so I'm happy with my substitute. Speaking of cute bags, I debuted my adorable Charming shoulder bag I purchased from ASOS (with a discount code) for my trip. I want to buy everything Love Moschino that has these girls printed on them, because they make everything look so gorgeous! I bought a summer bag in the Moschino sale which also features the girls and I already have my little clutch from last year. My shoe obsession is turning into a bag obsession, although it's not quite as fun ; )

Day 909 - When You Wish Your Bed Was Already Made
Shoes: Navy 'Perine' spike platforms River Island
Yesterday I had a few technical hitches, much to my annoyance, so I couldn't get on with work at all. Sods law, I was actually in the mood for working after feeling sluggish these past couple of weeks! I think the internet was running in the background or something was going on unseen, as I ended up having to clear the cache, history etc and restart the whole system, which took over an hour to do (it would normally take a few minutes). Everything was 'not responding', Facebook crashed on me 7 times when it was supposedly the only thing I had open and even my pictures/folders wouldn't work properly and the anti-virus scan I run each days which takes under a minute, had been going for an hour and was still only at 1.7%. However once I fired it all back up, it was fine. This was after 10pm though, so I couldn't get much done before bed. I was fuming at wasting 5 hours just trying to get anything to function. Anyway, it was still hot yesterday, thankfully it's cooler this morning. They keep telling us on the coast that it's only low 20's, but it feels much hotter. I looked out these shoes and planned an outfit around it. I can't say I felt summery in navy, but like I said, I don't seem to adapt well to this weather. There are cut-out sections in the back of the bodice of the dress, with little bows, but I couldn't figure out how to photograph that!

Day 908 - I Was Kissin' Valentino By A Crystal Blue Italian Stream
Shoes: Turquoise 'Margaux' Terry De Havilland
Man, it's hot! Like really hot (30ish)! I'm fast running out of suitable clothes to wear, which I didn't think was possible given my huge wardrobe of dresses and rather large shoe collection. I know I keep going on about it, but I just don't feel built for this weather (in more ways than one). I must've changed outfits four times today and that in itself is too much in this heat. This dress is actually very good because aside from it's non-creasing fabric and general coolness, the armholes fit right up under my arms (whoopee), so there's no flashing of underwear or jibbly arm bits. I don't mind my arms, but have to say I do still feel a little self conscious about exposing them. Just being silly I suspect. It was too hot for any other accessories and curling my fringe so it's off my face, has been a God-send. Can you believe though, that for the 5 minutes I was outside, it rained. Proper big spots of rain!! So I had to cut my walk short and 'run' off home, rather miffed that my hair was all fuzzy and that I was still hot and bothered! It's the first bit of any rain we've had in weeks, so I'm sure the gardens will appreciate it. How are you coping in the sun?

Day 907 - Let’s Go To The Beach, Each, Let’s Go Get Away
Shoes: Beige Lady Dragon Cherries Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa
I've realised the heat doesn't agree with me! I've been forced to buy hayfever pills, as my Vaseline up the nose and cucumber on the eyes tricks were starting to fail. I already take a lot of medication, so hoped to treat it without more pills, but there's no point suffering right? Then I have this blotchy rash on my chest, which I've stopped itching, but it still looks terrible. My legs are joining in with the blotchy-ness and I've got two unexplained bruises on them and don't even get me started on my burning and parched face. That said, it's so lovely to not have that wet stuff falling out of the sky to worry about and actually getting a (maybe) whole season of summer. This dress is a little tricky to wear as the lining is much shorter. The dress would just be comfortable on me bare legged, but the fear of the lining exposing my booty at the slightest gust (and it's been rather breezy out there), meant I had to rethink this. I didn't want to wear it with leggings as it defeats the purpose of dressing for summer, so I added this little net skirt underneath. It's also lined, so gave me that little bit extra length and it wouldn't blow up in the wind, like the dress would.

Day 906 - This One Is For The Boys With The Booming System
Shoes: Unicorn tie cortesan Irregular Choice
A cardigan is a staple item for me, but with this warmer weather, I've wanted to ditch it. Looking at my wardrobe though, more often than not a cardigan is required (I spoke of this dilemma when I wore my cape last week). So I've been trying to pick outfits that don't need a cardi and yesterday that led me to my t-shirts. I'm most definitely a dress person, so don't wear tops or t-shirts often, but I have been giving them a try this year. One issue is that I don't have enough bottoms to pair them with! I have very few skirts and still haven't fixed my lace pencil one which shrunk (and the lining didn't) in the wash months ago. However this one is great for summer. Despite the busy print and colours, it works with so many of my t-shirts. It's been a worthwhile sale purchase and I honestly never expected to get quite as much wear out of it as I have.
