Day 976 - Say Something, I'm Giving Up On You

Shoes: 'Gypsy Girl Rose' Dan Sullivan

Ah it's been a busy ol' weekend. Nothing exciting, but lots of eBaying and an attempt to catch up on sleep lost during the week when the builders are knocking about (too loud, shhh). This outfit however is from...last Thursday? I think so, it doesn't really matter anyway. I was reminded of these boots when I was browsing through old posts and although the box is massive (and therefore rather prominent in my room), it's in an awkward place with stuff on top of it, so not the easiest to grab in a hurry. Story of my life with shoe boxes to be honest! I have no patience right now to dive head first into shoe-mountain (never to be seen again), so I feel I do have the same pairs on rotation. My Mum would argue and say she's never seen me in the same shoes twice, but I'll be glad to get them their own room and have the choice of any pair whenever I like. Anyway I detached the knitted cat purse off these boots for this outing and they are really cute even without. Opticians appointment tomorrow, so there will be another outfit on it's way!

Wearing: Teal lace dress G21 at Asda, leggings Primark, cardigan Red Herring at Debenhams, patent belt taken from another dress, vintage cat-eye glasses Jeepers Peepers.
Fit: True to size, lace-up, 5 3/4" heel and 2" platform.
Comfort: No problems.

Day 925 - I Am Swimming In An Ocean All Alone

Shoes: Pink 'Got The Hump' Dan Sullivan

I had the hygienist on Thursday (ooh the excitement), so got 'properly' dressed.  Safe to say these shoes went down a treat and were the topic of much of the conversation (why do they insist on yapping when you've got your mouth full with their hands etc?).  My dentist has just relocated to the local hospital, so I felt all out of sorts in the new environment.  It's so clinical and not at all homely like it used to be.  No doubt I'll get used to it as I seem to be there often enough!  Between blog stuff (ugh to editing photos) and boring home stuff (preparing for renovations on our house), I've been so busy this week and really feel like it's catching up to me.  I've been absolutely shattered and so so tired.  I'm not sleeping very well (not helped that we 'lost' a spider next to my bed a few nights ago), so I feel like I just need some time to chill, but there is no time for that unfortunately!  Anyway Thursday was the last time I got dressed, which is usually an indication my life is getting stressy.  Does anyone else feel like it suddenly turned into winter too?  X-Factor on TV last night, festive sweets now in shops (I kid you not) and we're seriously considering putting the heating on (yeah it's getting cold).  On that depressing thought, I'll leave you with peep toes and summer colours, brrrr!

Wearing:  Floral dress Red Herring at Debenhams, cardigan Bonmarche, leggings Primark, pink floral charming bag Love Moschino, lipstick brooch Miss Selfridge, pink fox ring gift, peacock ring River Island.
Fit: True to size. 6" heel and 1 1/2" platform.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 911 - There's No Working You Out Whatsoever

Shoes: Pink 'Got The Hump' Dan Sullivan

So before I could get all the 'deboxing' photos of these shoes up, I've already worn them! If you follow my Facebook, you'll know that I struggled to make a decision on which colourway to pick. In the end I went for the navy as they have always been the colour I've been most attracted to, even if the pink were probably slightly more wearable/more likely to fit in with my wardrobe (I'm saying that because the trim is black on the pink pair). When they arrived though I got a pink pair in a 'navy' labelled box, so the decision was made for me! There wasn't much difference between the colours in all honesty and I still love them, so didn't see the point in sending them back (plus the other colour had sold out by then). My pair have a lot of blue in them anyway along with the white, black, orange, green and pink. Size-wise they fit perfectly. My toes tend to scrunch as I'm putting the shoe on, but there's room to fix that through the peep-toe once the shoe is on. The heel runs a little large (if I'm nit-picking) a bit like the Irregular Choice 'Long Lashes' boots, but it's very slight. I am incredibly tall in these though, I felt like a giant (apparently that's possible at 5 ft 5"). I had absolutely no issues walking in them, they felt 'safe' enough and there's a nice solid base to walk on.

Wearing: Goldfish dress H By Henry Holland, leggings Primark, limited edition flower hair clip ASOS.
Fit: True to size. 6" heel and 1 1/2" platform.
Comfort: No issues with these on their first outing.

Day 821 - She's Probably Up Singing Some White-Trash Version Of Shania Karaoke

Shoes: 'Gypsy Girl Rose' Dan Sullivan

I'm running a day behind, but have a migraine from hell, so am stopping all 'computing' for tonight after this and going to watch the next episode of Person Of Interest instead.  Am I the only one that watches it?  Took me a couple of weeks to get really into it, but I'm enjoying it now.  I was just thinking what a fun wardrobe I've had this week with Barbie, knitted sweets, now knitted cats and an adorable dolly print.  You know I don't need much encouragement when it comes to the H by Henry Holland range at Debenhams, I buy a lot of stock each season!  Last week when I was shopping, I was making a mental wish list of the HH things I'd like next time Deb's were running a  promotion; then when I looked online and saw this dress which I hadn't seen instore, it took all my willpower not to buy it there and then!  A few days ago, I was buying some MAC things and took a look at the clothes and they had 'up to 30% off' (20% on most of the HH stuff I looked at), so I ordered it.  I wanted loads more including two gorgeous t-shirts, but am waiting until the next promotion.  This dress, I just couldn't pass up, the print is the cheeriest, prettiest one I've seen in a while and I know it'll go with loads and I'll wear it loads.  One thing to note though is the colour isn't black-black like it looks online, it's more a deep charcoal grey (which I'm quite happy with).  You know I like something a lot when I take it out the packet and put it on straight away!

Wearing:  Cartoon girl dress H by Henry Holland, suede leggings, cardigan and coat Primark.
Fit: True to size, lace-up, 5 3/4" heel and 2" platform.
Comfort: The cat is quite heavy and is only attached at the top, so there is a lot of movement when walking. I tried to capture it on camera, but didn't.  This could annoy people-it annoyed me slightly, although at least when it belted off my ankles, I knew it was still attached!  I might have to figure out a way to stick them to the boot, so they are more 'wearable'.  Otherwise no issues.

Day 776 - I Lead The Packs Like Bruce Wayne Leads Da Batz

Shoes: Pink 'Visionary Viper' Dan Sullivan

Ok, so I was so excited yesterday as I made the decision to wear my Dan Sullivan boots. If you follow Pink Haired Princess, you'll probably remember the issues I had with these boots the moment I tried them on. I told myself, I'd make some padded thing and break them in, but I never got round to doing either! I'd re-laced them and that actually seemed to make a big difference surprisingly. My left foot was always the issue more than the right and although I had my stirrup leggings on (for a tiny bit of padding), I wasn't quite happy and put a thin pop sock type thing on my foot with another folded inside, on the problem area and laced them, back up again. What a difference!  In these photos the laces don't look very tight but I re-did them before leaving the house (although they are never going to lace really tightly). I wore the boots for an hour or two and can say they didn't hurt at all, not even when walking! I had almost resigned myself to them being an expensive mistake and keeping them in their box, so I'm ecstatic that I finally got to wear them.  I'd sneaked this purchase past my parents at the time, but obviously they noticed me wearing them yesterday and Mum and I studied all the charms in great detail (both her and Dad thought they were amazing). I haven't really looked properly at every single item inside before, there's tonnes of cute things and I keep spotting something else new.  I have also purchased myself another pair of DS boots for Christmas, but I'm being good and keeping them wrapped under the tree for now ; )

Wearing: Floral dress H by Henry Holland, leggings, coat and hat all Primark, cardigan Bonmarche.
Fit: True to size, lace-up, 5 3/4" heel and 2" platform.
Comfort: No issues, you don't know how happy I am to say that!
