Day 538 - Up, Up, Up!

Shoes: Black suede 'Night Walk' Jeffrey Campbell

I took advantage of the fact there was no frost or rain today and decided to step out in possibly my most ridiculous heels ever. Well, I call them 'heels', however they don't actually have any! They arrived yesterday after I pre-ordered them from Solestruck a while ago. I was a little worried about the cost, even although I qualified for free shipping, I had customs to pay (a whole £31.40) on top of around £110. It does make them quite expensive considering how everyone always comments on how 'affordable' JC shoes are. Imagine if I'd had shipping over and above that? They are entirely fabulous though and had they been easier and cheaper to get a hold of in this country I could see myself ordering them in every colour. My camera battery ran out before I'd finished taking pics today, so some are from my phone. The close-up of my face maybe doesn't quite work but I was trying to capture the lovely pearly sheen I have today as I've been digging out some highlighters that I haven't used for ages.

Wearing: Pleated dress with lace collar Pearl Lowe at Peacocks, belt ?, butterfly brooch my Granny's, floral tights Primark.
Fit: A little bit big on me compared to my Lita boots which are also an 8 (US).
Comfort: In all honesty, they are very comfortable and you'll possibly wobble occasionally, but you can easily walk at a normal pace and don't feel like you're falling or leaning backwards at all.

  1. I love them!!! I am a bit suprised that you had to pay such a high customs fee. Did you order them from Solestruck? With them I always pay 10 euros to Belgium...
