Day 865 - Down Every Road There's Always One More City

Shoes: Green Blythe 'Cookie' Irregular Choice

Yesterday started off fine, then as the day wore on, I got further and further behind with work until...disaster struck! I plugged my camera in to upload photos and to my horror the usb port on my PC fell through the hole inside the computer. Eeek! Thankfully there are two ports, so I used the other one...carefully. I was discussing what to do about it because it would be an absolute disaster if I lost the other port and my sister suggested getting a USB hub and attaching that to the remaining port and working off that. So I went to plug in my phone and what do you know, the whole thing has fallen through, headphone sockets and all! In fairness I'm surprised it's lasted this long, because it's always been a jiggle to get usb's in and out and the whole front is rather flimsy. So I thought my life and blog were over (really), then I remembered there are some spare usb ports in the back of the PC (google might have helped me remember). So I ordered a usb extension cable to use for now and will look into getting a hub to attach to that. I believe Poundland have some, which is cheaper than a new computer! My lead isn't due to come until next week, although it was apparently dispatched at 1.25 this morning (?), so for now I'm heaving the tower in and out when I need to use the usb sockets. The glamorous life of blogging.  As for the shoes...I totally thought I'd worn these already but the immaculate soles suggest otherwise!  They are a half size bigger but are very generous.  What is it with me and too-big shoes lately? think I should take out shares in insoles.

Wearing: Tropical floral dip hem dress Red Herring (Debenhams), cardigan Bonmarche, leggings Primark, Mischief sunglasses Irregular Choice.
Fit: Generous in width and length. 1" platform and 4 3/4" heel, no need to take button out on strap.
Comfort: They are big on me so slipped off my heel a little, but no issues of discomfort.

  1. Ah, I'd love a pair of these heels!
Also, you should be able to get the side off the computer fairly easily and should be able to retrieve them..

    1. they feel really spongy/springy when you walk in them! They were very comfortable though. I thought I would be able to take the front off the computer-tower, but I can't seem to, it doesn't budge and I can't even see how/if it's screwed in.

    2. If you detach the whole thing you might see that the side screws in at the bottom? Wait, is it a PC or a Mac? Because if it's a Mac, I don't know how to fix that :(

    3. I couldn't get it off...the screws must be behind it, but it wouldn't budge! I bought a usb cable and hub, so it's all fixed now and I'm working from the back usb, phew!
