Day 736 - I Stay Awake When You Fall Asleep

Shoes: Green sparkly 'Oz' Irregular Choice

After my dementia moment yesterday, about half an hour later I remembered what I was wearing that day!  How could I have forgotten this outfit?  It's rather bold!  Now it has to be said I'm not keen on orange at all.  My Dad instilled into my sisters and I, that you should never wear orange and black together, because he hated a football team of that colour.  It's silly I know, but I never would wear those colours alone and I think it's helped, shape my dislike of orange over the years.  So, I've had this dress for ages and never worn it because the orange doesn't really easily fit into my wardrobe.  I love the print though, so colour association aside, I wanted to work something out.  I figured picking out the green, would add another dimension and stop my Dad hating on me for looking like a football sub!  Plus in a freaky twist, these shoes are lined in orange crushed velvet! Can you believe I've never worn them out yet?  The last time I wore them was around Christmas 2009 and I never left the house.  It's down to colour association again (and the sparkles), but I'm trying not to only wear things like this in the festive season. Both my Mum and sister saw them though and said 'Oh you're wearing your Christmas shoes today'!!  What about you, do have any strange fashion 'rules', you've made but are trying to break?

Wearing: Chili pepper dress Red Herring (Debenhams), black high shine leggings Miss Selfridge, cardigan Bonmarche, belt taken from another dress, minima baroque sunglasses Prada.
Fit: True to size, if anything a little tight across the foot, 4" perspex heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

    1. If I recall correctly they were a Schuh exclusive at the time and made in limited numbers, so pretty slim chances of finding them now unfortunately.
